Dear Droneracer 101, I am a 15 year old high schooler in New York and I love FPV. However I don't have that much equipment or at least high quality equipment. I was wondering I you had anything you no longer needed or are willing to give away. I would love to re-purpose these things so I can continue flying.
I got an amazing deal on a pair of Dom v3, i found a pair on letgo 30min away from me for $140 with two batteries the case and a realacc diversity module. The guy also threw in a walkera f210 a little rough shape and 5 1300mah 4s packs. Love them and got the deal of a life time. I use a 16:9 cam so the dom v3 are perfect. Keep up the great work on YT love the vids :)
Really nice, Mark! 😊 The problem is that, for us here in Brazil, 300 dollars is more than much people's monthly salary. In my case, it's more than half of what I get a month. You know? And I really doubt that FatShark have a place to fix them here in Brazil. Other thing is how the hell could it be more expensive than something as complex as a Taranis X9D Plus SE? That really puzzles me. But if I won the lottery... 😂
I think these really are the best goggles for the price. Yes you can get more features for the same money but as someone who's delt with Banggood and Gearbest customer service department, FatShark's warranty makes this the clear winner. When my box goggles die I'll definitely be looking to get these😀 thanks Mark 👍
How are they inline with googles that come with a diversity receiver that works awesome, have a fan that runs off of the standard power connection and doesn’t affect the video when it’s running?
Some nice looking googles this is the pair I was looking at for the longest time if I ever had that kind of cash but now the price isn’t too bad on price but still expensive
I can get my hands on these lightly used (near new) for $200 ...are theses still relevant now Sept. 2019. I have been flying with box goggles (ev 800d). These will be my first pair of fatshark.
that price makes them actually compareable to the Eachine EV200d - but that one comes with dual diversity for the same price, has HDMI-In and isn't shipping for another 1-2 months.
Like he said though, an Eachine Pro58 is only like $25. Add another $10 for Achilles firmware, and you have a top grade diversity module with one of the best feature sets around, which almost assuredly kick the snot out of whatever the EV200Ds come with. To me, that's a selling point of the Fat Sharks, actually.
HeroPsycho but that makes them more than $60 more expensive then... and i'm not quite sure if they fit - but if they do,then why not get the even cheaper version of the ev200d (one reciever), throw the reciever away and install two of those? that'd still be cheaper.
I am reserving judgement on these for now. But were you around when everyone thought the Topsky goggles were going to be the second coming? I am having Dejavu.
Here's a reason why - my Dom V3s came with the 18650 battery case. One of the fan power wires mysteriously got cut REALLY close to the balance connector, making it difficult to repair. What did Fat Shark do? Sent me a new one free of charge, and they didn't have to do anything for me. I don't mean to crap on Eachine, I have a QX65 tiny whoop of theirs and EV800D box goggles for passenger goggles, which I both like very much, but Eachine would never do that. Think closely about that when you're plopping down hundreds of dollars on something. Something else could have easily happened that would have been way more costly to replace.
This fpv goggle of fatshark dom v3 compatible with eachine wizard x220s and mavic air? If you say “yes” , any additional transmitter/reciever need to buy?
I can't wait for payday I'm still flying with my Eachine EV800D Goggles, I have been trying to get use to my EV100 but the FOV needs to be wider I'm getting Dubble vision so I don't use them and stay with the 800D that I can record with. Great video, can't wait to see. JohnnyDRC
One other point about the Fat Sharks worth mentioning compared to other goggles - they almost always have the best or close to the best top end IPD distance. The Aomway Commander v2s go higher, v1s are the same, but most other goggles from what I remember have less max IPD. IPD IMO is one of the most overlooked things when purchasing goggles, and if the goggle IPD won't work for you, there's no sense in buying them altogether.
It’s a ridiculously hard question. I will say I am totally happy using both. But when push comes to shove I grab the Fatsharks more often. But maybe for reasons you don’t care about, like the battery placement.
Got one (falcon g1)from getfpv for $270 with 10% off. Dam this google is goooood!!!!! Fatshark, watch out, this can sneak up on you. Very happy with this google.
Did a survey for getfpv and got 10% off. Ordered it last Friday and it came on Monday. I have done about 80 battery flies with the falcon, spent 20 hours with the google until my eyes and brain just couldn’t handle it any more. I was fpv drunk, torture test this thing 2to 3 hours session at a time. Love the falcon 1
It stand between the Falcon,Commander v1 or EV200D here.Im so tired of waiting for the EV200D now, so maybe just go for the Falcons and hope i get happy with em.Havent heard of a falcon buyer that have been disappointed yet.
Its a tough question, they are both great options. Most of the time I prefer the Commanders. But I keep coming back to the fact that if I wasn’t a reviewer and only had one set the Fatshark warranty may sway me in that favor.
Mar-arkle-Stone! Why does RTF mean so many different things!? Ready To Fly is Ready To Fly NOT: "Requiring (something else) To Fly" The Battery case with no batteries is bullcrap. ...and when the heck is Eachine gonna release them EV200Ds....sure hope they take a clue from Fatty with price point. Otherwise they only have ONE benefit (on paper anyway) Dual Dual Diversity....Quadversity? See you in the sky!
It’s an shipping issue. Some places you just can’t ship batteries too. In pretty much any form. And most places it causes a really big delay. So in those cases they have to use the new Fatshark case. And a lot of people prefer the 18650 case anyway because you can put much bigger batteries in in. I like the USB one though. I still won’t be shocked if the EV200D never arrives. It’s 3D diversity with the 4 connections. With my Skyzones I either have diversity, or I have 3D. With the EV200s you get 3d Diversity. I don’t think anyone cares. It’s the screen resolution and price point that may win on those. We’ll see.
Planning to get a good fpv googles at the end of this month , these googles seem good but there is the Flysight falcon , which is similar in price . What is your honest suggestion ?
Hopefully my shootout will be done by then. Stay tuned for my Community Poll. But the Flysights have a better screen and really nice features. But the Fatsharks have the long term track record and proven support. Also depends on the module you plan on using. The Eachine/Realacc modules are a pain in the Flysights.
DroneRacer101 Thanks for the quick reply man !! 🤙 Guess no matter how improvments other manufacuters implement in their googles fatshark seems to have most compatibilty , plus what you said about warranty sooo true , saves a lot of hassle . Fatsharks than 😁😁😋
yea man, back in march they had the bundle with extra battery and case on sale and a 10% coupon, got mine for $250. I also bit the bullet for a 2nd XJB at that price.... this is a problem....
It depends. The Pro58 module is only like $25 bit.ly/EachinePro58 and it really isn’t bad stock. But add $10 for the Achilles firmware and it is great.
true, well... if they are good...... better then commanders? (i think is hard to tell) But if i go fatshark, i will go for clearview/ rapidfire. (modules that provide clear difference then other goggles like commanders.) right?...>,> (but it will be dam expensive for me.>O
Goggles are a VERY personal choice and it's hard to recommend. The Achilles module is pretty much equivalent in quality to what you get with commanders or Skyzones. The Rapidfire or Clearview are another whole level of quality above that, potentially, but for a MUUUUUCH greater cost. The nice thing is all those people that bought Farshark Dominator V2s years ago can continue to upgrade them to the latest module. But They also feel like they have to continually upgrade to the latest module. With built in receivers you don't have that option/annoyance depending on your perspective.
It should be pointed out that the Achilles firmware requires some not so easy soldering, and a STLINK adapter if you don't have one, in fairness. It's not a sure thing you'll be able to pull it off.
Ha, too late I feel sorry for you Fatshark. Now imagine guys how much they have milked the market. Even with this reduction they are earning huge profits. Thanks to the arrogant ignorance of Fatsharks I have moved on to Aomway and am super happy with them.
It never ceases to amaze me how people get so dogmatic about competing consumer products. Mac vs PC, iPhone vs Android, and of course Fat Shark vs the world.
theyre priced pretty much the same as the aomway commanders, so idk about that high horse of yours. Thats coming from someone that uses skyzone, which are also priced the same. Turns out people make products for profit, who knew?! if they were super cheap to manufacture you'd see eachine pushing them out for 150$, but given the fail of the ev100s, safe to say they cant.

I won a pair of these goggles!!! Im really excited!!!!!!

Love my dom v3 and tru-d 3.7! 2 years of flying almost every day....zero issues!
Are they still a good choice in 2020 for 200$?
Coming from Aomway commanders i love these domv3 with true d module. Way better signal and reception.
I think these really are the best goggles for the price. How are they inline with googles that come with a diversity receiver that works awesome, have a fan that runs off of the standard power connection and doesn’t affect the video when it’s running?
The fan doesn't effect the DVR, where did you hear that?
Not the DVR. I had worse live video when the fan was plugged in.
Weird, my Dom V3s aren't impacted in the slightest with the fan running. Might want to call Fat Shark about that.
wow wish these was this price when bought my skyzone
Some nice looking googles this is the pair I was looking at for the longest time if I ever had that kind of cash but now the price isn’t too bad on price but still expensive
Nice video. Love these reviews that you are doing!
I can get my hands on these lightly used (near new) for $200 ...are theses still relevant now Sept. 2019.
I have been flying with box goggles (ev 800d). These will be my first pair of fatshark.
Waiting for my Aomway Commanders v1 to fall apart so that i can have an excuse to buy fatshark HDO and rapidfire module.

you are absolutely right - and as I said - they aren't even shipping those. So even if they might be equally good - you can't get them.
Here's a reason why - my Dom V3s came with the 18650 battery case. One of the fan power wires mysteriously got cut REALLY close to the balance connector, making it difficult to repair. What did Fat Shark do? Sent me a new one free of charge, and they didn't have to do anything for me. I actually found them on Amazon 3 weeks ago for $225. Brand new no module.
One other point about the Fat Sharks worth mentioning compared to other goggles - they almost always have the best or close to the best top end IPD distance. Interesting I usually find minimum IPD to be more of an issue.

DroneRacer101 same for me. IPD is one of the reasons why im still using box goggles.
For my first pair of goggles which one would you recommend these with the rtf bundle or the aomway commander v1 for almost the same price?
It’s a ridiculously hard question. I will say I am totally happy using both. But when push comes to shove I grab the Fatsharks more often. But maybe for reasons you don’t care about, like the battery placement.
Hey mark...couldn’t find your email address...was looking for the link to the xjb on sale...the one in your google docs sheet didn’t work. Thanks.
Email me at droneracer101 at gmail. I’ll send it to you but it may have expired at this point.
., fully upgrade
Sorry, I am not sure what you are referring to.
Fg01 Vs v3 witch one and why ?
What are your top requirements?
DroneRacer101 just from the which is better goggle , comfort , quality , screen . And lets say they have same level of warranty and price
Looks good goggles but need to see field test. :)
If I was buying goggles at this price range I would also consider the Falcon’s.
Got one (falcon g1)from getfpv for $270 with 10% off. Dam this google is goooood!!!!! Fatshark, watch out, this can sneak up on you. Very happy with this google.

That is the best price they have ever been, knocks spots of the opposition.

I'm assuming that was directed at Anuj Kapoor. And yeah, I agree completely.
