Well, this is the very first clip I watched, curious, on this topic. Frankly, I believe it is one of the best - even though I cannot know what other people have done already or will present in the (near?) future. A very fun transportation of that wow-effect, arturia’s product policy envokes at the side of users and interested people. I built my first sampler on myself in 1983, and so I have quite solid experience with rise and fall in different styles of digitized audio. You made indeed a entertaining snapshot of this newerly added features - on a entry level (!), set the pro-allures aside, encouraging viewers to take the tool ... and act like a fool. Yeah, rock‘n roll, this is made for pure fun... quod erat demonstrandum. No techblabla neccessary. Just use it... eeeeh basta. :D
Soooo thinking about this… you could load a whole kit of drum samples, set the Key/Arp appropriately to change the Sample per key. Playable kit on a some of the keys?!?
😳 uhhh yeah I think that would work! It would probably take some fiddling around with both the sample and the modulation parameters, but I think you could get some really cool stuff going on.
I just bought one! Great fun in the tutorial. If you can please tell me how I can obtain the Neil Peart samples, I’d be grateful! I’ll send you a letter he sent my dad back in the 90’s. Pretty neat. Thanks again!
Excellent video as usual. I just noticed that the surface of your keyboard is wearing off in some places and i was curious if that is going to cause any issues with how the keys work? I understand that you have had your Mikrofreak for some time (maybe 2 and a half years up to this video?) and i noticed another video that you made using your Mikrofreak from maybe 1 year before this video and the keys look normal. So i was just curious if your have any issues with the keys triggering properly or lack of sensitivity when placing your fingers on those keys with the worn out coating?
Hey ! Thank you for the nice preview, and congratulations for your marriage. Do you think we could expect to be able to sample directly from the MF in a future firmware ? As it already has an input for the vocoder. That would turn the MF into a very versatile little machine, for on the go creation
I was printing out the manual last week and ran out of ink before I could get very far. Great timing! Edit: Delayed reaction... Samples!!!!??? They spoil us.
Right after I add a Roland SP-404 mk2, Arturia updates the MicroFreak. I actually have the Minifreak V yet was pondering the MicroFreak as a hardware compliment and this would've helped its odds.
I think the 404 and the micro freak would actually make a pretty good pair, as long as you also have a computer to take samples from the 404 and put them into the freak! Could probably get some really cool stuff going that way, especially if you then ran the microfreak back through the 404 for the effects!
Oh my gosh! The day from hell! This video is great news though! I’m pretty sure Venus theory mentioned this a while back but they were still looking for bugs. So I’m reduced to using my IPad mini because the big stuff IPad M2 and Android 12 tabs are busy being part of my gear! Lol. I don’t want Netflix and Prime on them. Wait - the microfreak has internal memory?? Whats the capacity? How many samples can be loaded? What format? How do you load them? Tutorial video on loading samples please!
We've known about internal memory for a while, we've had the user wavetable engine for a year or so now, maybe even longer. Like I say in the video, you load the samples via the midi control center software. According to the software, you have 128 slots, and just over 200 seconds of sampling time.
