Great video!! both Part 1 and 2 were helpful! We just did the job on this saturday on a 2016 Grand Caravan SXT that had no reverse anymore and it took about 12 hours to the two of us, both fairly experimented with car mechanics. Not an easy job but not too complicated either. We had some serious concerns when we tested the car after adding transmission fluid, it was sluggish and the car ahs no power. The problem gradually went away as we added more and more transmission fluid. The car is now working fine however scanning the computer still returns a P083B code LC Pressure Switch Rationality error code and a P0792 Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor "A" circuit range performance error (unrelated to the transmission). Note that we assembled the tranny back on the engine and had to remove it again because the torque converter was not seated all the way on the transmission shaft. You can tell because the tranny wouldn't come close enough to the engine for us to put the bolts back on.
Not a driveway job however (we did consider it and we backed out of this project) and went to a fully equipped shop with hoist and jack. It was a lot easier, this tranny with torque converter assembled is bloody heavy.

Right before you put the vehicle back in the air to remove that last bottom bolt and split the trans from the engine, is the only thing holding that motor in place the passenger side mount? Mitchell says to use the motor support that goes over the top of the engine but it looks like an unneeded step. Great video either way thank you

I've got the three bolts out of the right side axle. Can't get it to clear the power steering pump. Did you split the shaft to get some wiggle room?

Nice video! My client's own had a similar issue so I bleed the clutch and still to no avail. I've even replaced only the kit inside the upper clutch but the problem of a sponge clutch and no gear still persist.
I've checked scrutingly for signs of leakage carefully while someone pressed the clutch, i found out that the down clutch nipple doesn't hold clutch hydraulic fluid! It goes out gently, and also the clutch fluid was replaced with a new one. Nevertheless, it's still very darkened in color. Please, how do I fix the issues?
Darkened fluid, soft clutch pedal, and a most especially the leak at the down clutch bleeder or nipple.

I think using the chain hoist is better then a transmission jack. Did you find easier ?

Hello, is the workshop in Canada? Please write the address. I have a 2012 Dodge Caravan and I want to check the transmission. When I change the transmission from P to R, I feel a strong vibration.

Hey guys, I’ve had a similar issue with my van (2001) 3.3litr v6 I noticed that when I was driving, the van was stuttering and it seemed like it didn’t want to drive nor break and I was only going about 35-45km.
I pulled to the side stoped and turned it off for about 5 mins then I started it drove normal for the first few seconds then it was stuttering again and wouldn’t go past 20-25km so then I turned it off and parked it, after leaving it turned off for awhile I started it and it cranked but then turned completely off in about 20 seconds , then the engine was stuttering and it seemed like it wanted to go but kept on stuttering the muffler was giving out some weird sounds…maybe bad fuel pump?
    Transmission gone bad ?
….if anyone can point me in the right direction on what to do….I would grateful appreciate it
