Man Justin is living the dream. My ultimate garage goal includes a.. C7 ZR1 ZTK coupe (7mt) C8 Z07 coupe (70th anniversary) Ram TRX (or Cadillac Escalade V) But also.. CT5v BW (6mt) or V2 Wagon (6mt) And.. Camaro SS 1LE or Z/28 😅💪🇺🇲 🇺🇲 🇺🇲
Markups will always exist. This helps with production latency. The new hot model will stay on the dealership floor longer and continue to ramp up demand and get people in the dealership. This will also help with having live models and factory ramp up on delivering those new models.
If it’s coming from the dealership, I don’t even have to watch this. They are lying. At least I know my dealership has never let me down when it came to lying.
I laugh at the "mid engine was necessary" argument. GM claimed they "HAD TO" go mid-engine cuz handling couldnt get any better w/ front-mid-engine. BUT C7 GS/Z07/ZR1 STILL hold the highest skidpad grip #'s of all time. 1.18g-1.22g.. Which is HIGHER than C8 Z07 coupe (with full carbon) at 1.16g. The handling got WORSE. 😂😂😂 C7's already had higher grip than every lambo, Ferrari & Mclaren ever made. (Senna, SVJ, Laferrari, Huracan STO, 765LT, Viper ACR, Huayra BC etc). Only beat by 2 GT3RS's (1.24g). And look at the MANUAL C7 ZR1's VIR lap time. Its now 6th place of all time.. right behind C8 Z07 in 5th. (But with C8's improvements.. aero, a DCT, carbon rims/wider tires, coilovers, newer brakes, stiffer chassis) and a lower/wider design w/ more rear weight bias.. A front engine C8 could easily match current C8 lap times.
I disagree about the ZR1 price range. It WILL NOT have $80k in options like the Z06. Cuz the ZR1 comes standard with lots of the pricey Z06 options. (Carbon brakes, carbon splitter/side skirts etc) and it will likely have 2lz trim as standard. So my guess is $155-160k BASE and $215-220k MAX options. Afterall, the base ZR1 doesnt have THAT much in higher-cost parts vs the Z06. Even the engine is almost identical to LT6.. Just different shape pistons, slightly different crankshaft milling, new intake, and obv. Turbos/intercoolers/new exhaust. Otherwise its just the changed engine decklid, new front hood/vent/trunk delete, carbon side intake trim, carbon extra intake, and slightly changed rear quarter panel. The rest of cost is R&D/tuning, different spring rates, & stronger DCT/axles etc. And then, ZTK just adds a massive carbon wing, front hood gurney flap, canards, carbon wheels/Cup 2 R's & tuning.🤷♂️
Yea attainable sports car? Bull crap blue collar? Are you kidding me ? 100k and over is not attainable blue collar Justin is right no way attainable we have to go camaro now because we all don't make as much as you do get with it and now Mary Xd out the camaro
Agreed. C7 ZR1 manual started the insanity of $200-300k Vettes. And sad the C8 started at $60k, but now a Z06 is $140-190k (real world). So a ZR1 at $160-225k+ (imo) is just sad. I know the cars are much nicer/more refined/cost more.. But 25% inflation in 4 years.. Plus higher energy costs for manufacturing & supply chain issues, are likely a big reason.
But I actually love 6th gen Camaro's. My realistic car goal is an '18 SS 1LE (but ZL1 1LE & 5th gen Z/28 are epic too). The 1LE's are some of the best handling cars of all time. The SS 1LE pulls 1.12g of skidpad grip, has fantastic chassis tuning, steering feel, lap times etc. And the ZL1 1LE does 1.18g of grip (higher than C8 Z07's 1.16g) & nearly all supercars. Higher grip than 765LT, Senna, Laferrari, Huayra BC, SVJ etc.😅 But the "wide" C7's hold the highest grip #'s of all time @ 1.18-1.22g. Only beat by 2 GT3RS's. So long story short, the 1LE's (and even SS/ZL1) are incredibly impressive for their weight.
Base stingray is 68K before discounts(you can get 5-8 percent off that ). Average new car price is somewhere near 50K. I think this is attainable for blue collar.
I agree. I just took delivery on my 2025 C8 Z06. I ordered a ZR1. I’m at least a year or so away from getting that and the Zora isn’t ready for orders yet. They won’t rush the C9.
Well if you're gullible enough to give a dealer 1k with nothing coming from GM , losing 1k will be tough lesson to learn but one they won't make again.

I almost bought a CT5 recently.
Very interesting, you should call them out and a host of aftermarket companies making parts for the c8 etc... JAT!!

Use escrow and hold a certain amount as collateral for a few weeks!

If anybody pays over MSRP, you’re getting screwed if anybody pays MSRP you’re getting screwed

C9 is projected in 2029
Do you know of any dealer in the U.S. selling the Z06 at MSRP?
I've seen several under

That's why I wanted to talk about it to make sure no one falls for this.
