Loved this series, we need a one year follow up with all parties to talk about the good and bad things after living with everything for one year. Would enjoy seeing what products held up etc.. also would like to know what they might change after a year. No matter what it was an excellent series.

Matt, this series really highlighted how someone with your expertise is absolutely necessary. Bravo! The collaboration of all the brands and partners who donated their time all came together very well. The craftsmanship is top tier.

Its really awesome to see how much effort and thought went in to this build. At the beginning I didn't appreciate the vision Matt & team had as much as I did by the end. I'm obsessed now.
I went to a car wrapping place and had them wrap my speed queens black. Looks factory, can't even tell. Been over a year now and still going strong. Options for those that don't like that standard white.
Fantastic work... Although, I must say, I actually preferred the darker wood look. I hate white and bright interiors. When I am home, I want my home to be warm, darker and relaxing tones. Thats why I love being in my Cabin up the Mountains. Its just so wonderful and I feel so comfortable.. This almost makes me feel like Im at a studio or a work place...
Mike (camera person/editor), if you find the time, you should do a highlight compilation of the build series for this project so that it covers the important aspects of the build, the decisions that were made, as well as the good times that were had along the way. I would also be curious to see just how many times Mike F (master builder extraordinaire) said, "Hey, Mike!"
Your technical knowledge on a wide range of topics is unreal. What a great guy to have in charge of a project.
This is a great re-cap to the entire series, which was beyond great. I love the transformation and it gives a more personal insight into one of my favorite UA-camrs, Mr LZ. Thank you for all the hard work and fantastic videography that captured all the magic. Great job everyone!!!
Great video. Kudos to Matt, Mike, Mike, the entire OG team. Special project for sure and honestly the body of work here is amazing to look back through. I agree with the other commenters on Adam not making a video I think he could have given his own tour.

This went from a big but pretty meh house to an absolutely stunning home. The style is totally my thing too.
It's amazing what the entire team has managed to pull off in such a short period of time. It was very enjoyable to follow the process too and this video really hammers home how momentous of a transformation the house has undergone.

I work in the plumbing field that’s a $7000 faucet all day. Looks amazing. Going to look back on the series hopefully we can see a little bit of the rough.

In terms of a blueprint for further content .. you have nailed it! You do such a great job of the detailed overview, and the team provide the meat in the middle. Add in staring rolls with a cast of character rich individuals and you have a recipe for GREATNESS.
The level of detail and craftmanship shown is above next level, however a craftsman can only craft when he has the resource's at hand to do the work so kudos to you for pulling this all together.
I love everything you have done here; my only constructive comment would be maybe the floating TV cabinet doors should have the same handles as the kitchen. If you have already sorted this then "great minds think alike", if you disagree then "great minds think whatever they like" lol. In that regard were both right!

I remember when they were hesitant to do anything with the space because of all the woodwork, looks like there was a ton of work done to the place, and it looks way more updated fitting their style better.
All looks awesome man! 2 gripes... the backslash tole in the kitchen on the bottom looks unfinished and will getting dirty and hard to clean. No second thing lol. Love the house
What a change eh! Good job Matt and everyone involved. Adam and Collette got a smokin deal there foresure! P.S. Matt I can’t believe your a wall leaner lol! That’s a huge pet peeve of mine. lol! Repeated leans in high lean areas turns the matte paint shiny. Even worse yet is hands on the wall.

Yall did a damn good job with this one. Only two negative comments I left on past videos had nothing to do with the craftsmanship that you guys put into this house. Just got tired of hearing about the cold plunges lol and I really hope colette puts her neon signs in her closet😂😂

I honestly think this series was a showcase of Matts professionalism and expertise in project management. There were many people to credit for the actual labour and construction of this project, but truthfully it's the direction of Matt that lead this thing to be as organized and successful as it was. I think I speak for many of the viewers who were entertained by this series when saying this is only a glimsp of the potential this channel has. If Matt was interested in making these kinds of video series continuously, with the his obsessed tiwst of mandating perfection, we would all stay tuned to watch.
I have watched since day one of this series, and can confidently say I would look forward to Matts own version of HGTV here on UA-cam.
Other than that HIDEOUS splashback/panel in the kitchen, this looks pretty amazing

It all turned out wonderful. The one thing I would have done is paint those big ceiling beams the same color as the window and door trim, but not my house and it has to be what they want.

Matt, it's surprising that you don't obsess on the home automation side. It's the future and I think you are missing out on that side of the market. It's next level as you often mention.
I think it’s the past. Expensive, sophisticated systems that add more pain than good have no place in my house.
Automated house is a problem because it limits your options for equipment you can use. And if you go with highly customized options then you are forced to have an IT guy available in case server/software glitches. BUT... a lot of simple stuff can be already automized with Google/Alexa (ie. tie in lights with door sensors and thermostats; or run scenes for audio/video/lights). The main problem though is running it in the cloud and being depended from 3rd party services.
@@ObsessedGarage You are pointing out the downsides/negatives. These are opportunities for the right person/company to move the market forward.
@@drivingpsyche Matter protocol is bringing this together. It's not perfect and is in early development. Opportunities exist, that's the point. Also, many local solutions. I would never depend on cloud based. It's a growing industry. Not turn key, but getting better each day.
@@michaelbrandle it is getting better. Matter standard is a hope for future. I'm running Home Assistant server and I'm happy with it, but I would never install it in a house who's owners are not into DIY/computer builds. It's not a turnkey solution.
