thousand eyes restrict, best card from pegasus deck, the toon monsters have aged rather poorly. But hey, there's a guy on Etsy who does cool custom toon versions of monsters like Slifer and Obelisk as excellent retrains to make them work better for competitive play. Other favorites include: Ultimate offering, had that as a child. Did not know it was banned in the TCG. Reigeki Dark hole Sphere mode dragon of ra Fenrir and Graceful charity. I'd love to see what you think of those custom toon cards if you get the chance, they're only nine dollars as a set.
One of my biggest regrets was selling my binder full of old school yugioh msg back in like 2008 for SUPER cheap, I had some crazy cards that would’ve been decent now adays
I thought about doing this for the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon base set, but I quickly had to back down after seeing the prices for a lot of the cards.
Inspired me to dig out my old collection. I started collecting when the game first came to America and I have tons of early stuff. Excited to see if any of it is valuable, and excited to get back into yugioh
I started a collection mysel, but mostly of high rarity cards between the DM and 5D era, such as ultimates and a select few ghost rares, and ofc the secrets and ultras of cards that weren't new enough to get such treatments. trying 1st ed if i can.
I started one too trying to get all the Ultra Rares and Super rares from LOB to Invasion of Chaos. Jinzo for PSV and DM Girl is ungodly expensive though
This is one of the reasons I like buying the Walmart things. I already own complete collection and playsets in both 1st and unlimited from back in the day from LOB to SOD. Returning when LED4 was the new release, it was cool to find out there were reprints of many of the original sets which, due to having differences, I consider needing their own 4x copies. Adding something new to the collection but it was old and the Walmart stuff was (is) an easy way to get a lot of it since they contain a lot of reprint packs. Immediately reached out to buy a bunch of boxes of the Anniv stuff too. Couldn't find much in the way of reprint SRL in particular so the 25th anniversary is the chance.
Paul, have you considered activating polymerization to fuse the two misprints of Gaia The Dragon Champion into one of the misprints with both errors? Just a thought.
Maybe it's time to do a GOAT format deck, with Rare hunter series you basically have a lot of staples cards for a 2005 deck. Maybe modern Yu-gi-oh is getting boring these days, but the GOAT format is an evergreen. Plus maybe you can recover Larry's interest in the game that maybe, disappointed by the current meta, is less and less interested in Yu-gi-oh.
Old School Yu-Gi-Oh! is so much better than modern back than not everyone was a try hard sweat that only uses what the cool kids or Xyz Galaxy in Duel Links i swear i get no good luck whenever i play Yu-Gi-Oh! in ranked or competitve play but im not giving up on the series i still like it just wish not every match was so intense and you have predict everything at every given moment or one screw up will cost you the match i mean very few decks back in the old original days of Yu-Gi-Oh! was like that but very far and between
Speaking of retro yugioh, any word on if the reprints of the original packs for the anniversary this year are going to have errata'd text? I don't want a Chaos Emperor Dragon with the terrible errata.
Nice collection you got there! But damn, those voice actors are shady, why do they charge so much money for their signature? Let's be real, nobody even knows their faces or their names. Sounds almost like they scam the only few fans that know who they are :(
@@megamachopop I wouldn't pay them much mind. There are a couple people who go around posting that on several YGO channels. Not once has there been a sign of that being true on any of them so they presumably just want attention. Either that or they like going around flaunting how they don't actually know how to tell fake cards from real ones in which case you definitely never want to buy a card from them because you risk getting totally legit darkly big rabbi.
yup im collecting full playsets of every card printed between LoB and whenever synchros came out (cause thats when YGO turned to absolute dogsh!t imo) for super popular cards like BEWD and DMG im collecting one playset of each different artwork. and if, for example, Right Arm of the Forbidden One is printed in better/more asthetic quality and for cheaper in another product I will purchase that version NOT the og LoB printing. i dont want the ACTUAL old cards just really really beautiful and cheap as possible VERSIONS of them. if they happen to be the origibal printings, great but some real old YGO cards get INSANELY expensive at near mint or lightly played conditions. I just want a full collection of the history of YGO for my personal satisfaction. Not for play or value. Even though I think YGO cards will soon skyrocket in price as people like me finally gain enough money to have the collections we've always wanted. I hace no doubt that my collection when completed will be an extremely safe profit on my investment year after year. Just like my MTG Ravnica full playset collection. That one has gained AT LEAST 15-20% value in only the three or four years since I began it. Get these old school YGO cards before they hit MTG prices yall! So many of them are actually very cheap and definitely wont be for long.
Working on getting more cards all the time! I'll be hitting up vendors at upcoming regionals and YCS events! What are some of your favorites?

Love old school Yu-Gi-Oh. Always a nice trip down memory lane. Hope to see you again in Indianapolis.

I started my lob first edition set collection last year. I’m down to common first edition cards that I need left. Man this is awesome
that’s an insane collection!!! That’s pretty cool you got some of your yugioh cards signed 😊 those first Ed’s look pretty amazing congrats 🎉
i got that kazuki takahashi dark magician from a shonen jump manga from my school book fair in 2016
Wow! Injection Fairy Lily! I remember just starring at this card in my room as a kid.
2:40 i own a double misprint gaia and it's my favorite card i own for sure. nice pickups dude! i'm trying to get all the old secrets in reverse
I thought about doing this for the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon base set, but I quickly had to back down after seeing the prices for a lot of the cards.
Have fun collecting Paul. I do binders for flesh and blood, and nothing better than finishing a binder page

You can substitute for tinzo and the special edition promo dmg for rise of destiny.
I love ur collection my fav old card is Celtic guardian even though he’s not TAHT good but I love him
I think those old foils look so much better without the level stars and attribute being foiled. I wish they would go back
Absolute nostalgia bomb. LOVE a collection focus like this. Can't forget the roots!
I had Eric Stuart sign several cards including copies of BEWD, I had a mostly matching art set and had him rip the 4th one.
bro gate guardian for 35.00 is pretty good dude damn
Thought for rare hunters. With the reprint why not buy like 4 and do a draft then another duel
Ah, old Yugioh. How I yearn for those days again. Modern Yugioh is so frustrating.
Love the OGs ❤️🔥 My oldest cards are SDY Dark Magician and SDP Relinquished .
This is one of the reasons I like buying the Walmart things.

I like how Megan doesn't cover the artwork with her signature.
I’m an OG, had to have a Yata for the collection. Interesting collection you got going on.
Old school yugioh is the best!!! I love it!!!
What frames are you using to display the cards? Trying to figure out how to display mine?
Any tips for someone trying to get back into Yu-Gi-Oh after not playing since around 2009

Between you and alec, I wonder who spent more over the last weekend
I love the signed cards!

Im peanut butter jealous 😋 lol 😆
Where's your BLS and Chaos? Deliquent Duo and Confiscation and Change of Heart?
What I would give for a Thousand Eyes Restrict or Toon World signed by Pegasus . . .
Erf. Some of those are very off center it triggers my OCD. Still, cool video. I love old cards.
Rejecting polymerization coz it says Spell card. Respect.
I still call them magic cards even though they've been spell cards for like 20 yeara
Gemini Elf!!!
Back when Yugioh was fun.
Now its just dudes spendings hundreds to play solitaire.
I’ll sell you my blue eyes , it’s from 1999 dOod
“Very Lightly Played”
Kept it safe in my wallet since I was a kid

Sleeve those cards !
Put them in double slevees
RIP my mans wallet 🙏
