I would go for Junghans and save half of the money or get a Nomos for the similar price. Having said that, another model from Oris, Roberto Clemente is an amazing watch which deserves its price tag in my opinion.
Thanks for the review. Have had my eye on this beautiful piece. I love Oris, they are really on a serious roll the last few years. Maybe you`ll look at the Art Blakely next?
To all these people that are saying 2100 for a no date watch are to much...just ask yourselves how would you justify paying 3times this amount for a justdate Rolex or 5times the money for a no date, non automatic flat sapphire Lange Sohne or even the same amount off money for an Oris Aquis. Watches is never about value for money otherwise we would all wear casios (no offence here I have three of them) it's all about aesthetics and feeling of uniqueness. This watch is limited edition curved sapphire Bauhaus designed exceptional watch. And for that watch I prefer the smooth 38h 28800 bps than 60h 21000bps.
good looking one that i had never even heard of. I thought the counterweight on the seconds hand was a tuning fork at first. Either way, those hands are handsome. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The strap and the clasp are 1:1 with the John Coltrane LE, not sure about the case itself, but not impossible. Maybe it is the John Coltrane watch with a different dial and hands. Not that I do not like this version too :)
As a fellow Australian, I can only say that this piece is a ᴘᴇʀғᴇᴄᴛ tribute to James Morrison. Both leave me with a strong sense of '...meh'. I'm generally a real fan of Oris' tributes to jazz players, the ltd. edition Coltrane tribute with it's blue train-track minutes (of course...) printed on the outer rim of the black dial being a beautiful example. Unfortunately this one leaves me uninspired. Cheers. A.
ya, about $1000 to $1,200 tops is its worth. For $2,000 I would prefer a Monta or Formex, and have money left over. Other alternatives would be Longines, and Junghans, or a Nomus.
What Patek charges 250k for one of theres what's that called? You can get this watch for around 1500. I'd say if you like it....buy it. If it's too expensive find an alternative. Its a great looking watch I'll admit. Looks better than a max bill
Well, at well under 1k € Hamilton has AMAZING dress watches and dials..with a *FAR FAR SUPERIOR* movement than this late 90s specs watch. This is a 1200 $ watch at best. Oris is getting greedy IMO....trying to move up scale with their price structure.
Arif Maula Broadway DayDate blue dial. Stunning. It's around 900 € new but can easily be found discounted by -20% or more. Even on Chrono24...brand new heavily discounted. 80 hrs power reserve ETA movement..day date function...runs at 3-4 secs/day...what more do you need? www.hamiltonwatch.com/it-it/h43515641-broadway-daydate-auto.html
It's limited and it's a style that oris doesn't do. Who cares about the movement in this price range. SW200 works just fine. Personally if this watch had a high beat quartz in it....I'd be all over it
The guy who takes the new wrist-shots for you really ought to wear appropriate clothing with the watch. Looked a bit silly with a cheap pullover sweatshirt. Just some friendly feedback :)
I agree , they are having a laugh....They got really greedy. They used to be a good “ bang per buck “ watch, I bought one in the late 90’s. I would not pay this kind of cash for this, no way. I would much rather save up and buy a slightly more expensive pre owned piece. Oris should be selling between $ 1000 and $1900 tops especially if you consider the movement being used as well.....
Nice to see another review of a watch not regularly covered by all the watch UA-camrs. Keep that up Teddy. Makes your channel stand out👍
Finally bought this one today for 1400 AUD (~950 USD) which I believe is the right price for this watch being a limited edition.
The second hand detail is cool! Love the dial!
Solid everyday piece.
Concerned that strap, presuming good quality, could be mistaken as plain, possibly drab. Current strap needs some quality cues.
God, how I wish I had the money for such watches. Thankfully, I have these lovely vids; the closest I'll get 😂 Thanks for the great content Teddy!
you can steal the watches if you don't have the money for them 😉
@@kingadjust5422 I prefer the term “undocumented borrowing.”
Mufflehuff save up my man and you can get it
@@rpm8865 I'd love to! But as a college student who lives on his own... Bit of a stretch innit 😅
@@Lynlish u graduated yet ? :)
That same blue dial would look fantastic with a full gold case, hands, and markers.
I would go for Junghans and save half of the money or get a Nomos for the similar price. Having said that, another model from Oris, Roberto Clemente is an amazing watch which deserves its price tag in my opinion.
Beautiful very much has a strong Bauhause design influence! Something you seen in Braun, Nomos and other German marks.
Gorgeous watch , just too expensive for what it is . Great size and dial .
That 180 degree flip between 3 and 4 markers...it’s...it’s there and it may piss you off
lol just cant unsee it!
It does.
Hello, the dimensions in the video do not match the ones on your website? Can you tell which are the correct ones?
Thanks for the review. Have had my eye on this beautiful piece. I love Oris, they are really on a serious roll the last few years. Maybe you`ll look at the Art Blakely next?
Looks very similar to the John Coltrane LE. Please do a review on that one Teddy!
Very nice simplistic piece, definitely a dress watch!
What is the length of the band? What is the max wrist size will it fit?
To all these people that are saying 2100 for a no date watch are to much...just ask yourselves how would you justify paying 3times this amount for a justdate Rolex or 5times the money for a no date, non automatic flat sapphire Lange Sohne or even the same amount off money for an Oris Aquis. Still a rip off!
Sick watch..Oris is just awesome i wish them the best
We need more watches with numerals arranged like that. it makes it look more natural, rounded an wholistic
good looking one that i had never even heard of. I thought the counterweight on the seconds hand was a tuning fork at first. Either way, those hands are handsome. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Reminds me of the Junghans Max Bill.
Why is that all the watches i like from your videos are always way expensive for my budget ( BTW i know you have some decent reasonable watches )
Has every price range you could ask for on his website
The strap and the clasp are 1:1 with the John Coltrane LE, not sure about the case itself, but not impossible. Maybe it is the John Coltrane watch with a different dial and hands. Not that I do not like this version too :)
Really is a classy piece. Well done Oris.
Looks like a bigger Timex marlin
a fine watch
It is really a great looking watch I just wish the face was larger ... like 40 or 42.
Oris always delivers👌
Nice looking watch, but $2,100 for a Sellita movement, that’s outrageous!
Yes, you can have Nomos for less.
Would love for you to talk more about the Art Blakely
I second that
As a fellow Australian, I can only say that this piece is a ᴘᴇʀғᴇᴄᴛ tribute to James Morrison.

Pure class. If only it was $1800 cheaper 🤪
That is a basic dial, but a real classic.
Great video, love the watch
Really nice watch. Too bad it´s too expensive for me.
Thanks for the video.
A beautiful watch on the wrist!
Accuracy?
Very Bauhaus. Love it!
Oris "Mr Mojo Risin"
It would be great if you did a video where you compared this oris with Maxbill side by side
The Max Bill always wins for me. That one is a classic.
Looks like a HMT Pilot I have.
only more expensive
wassup teddy 😎✌️
Orient Bambino for around $100.00
Too expensive, but certainly attractice. Musicians are taking the brunt of the pandemic these days and I don't see this moving too many units...
ok.
I liked "The Doors".
Me too. Maybe we should buy cuckoo clocks?
Wrong Morrison.

$2k is silly money for a somewhat simple dress watch with modified SW200

Perhaps the tooling up for this unique, limited edition piece accounts for the price in part. Still, a mite pricey.
Omg, it's so beautiful
Beautiful watch...
$2000 for an SW-200? Oris, you are dreaming! How about fixing the crappy 400 cal with the jumping minute hand...
Beats Nomos
Oris is a little full of themselves, I think. How else did they come up with that retail price?

Nah Oris's always been like that, nothing new for me. The only thing that worth the money from them is the ProPilot.
It's a bit bland for the Lizard King, should have a psycadelic dial 😂
I have 1 pieces ❤
looks like a pixel watch!
SW200, 2000+$? Really? This is a blatant cashgrab lol.
It's limited and it's a style that oris doesn't do.

Slick.
How very Bauhaus.
I thought James Morrison is English. Nice watch.
lol, He an Aussie mate always has been!
$2100 yikes! Maybe $1200. Hamilton at 1/3 price sign me up.. thank you Teddy for the vid.
The guy who takes the new wrist-shots for you really ought to wear appropriate clothing with the watch. Looked a bit silly with a cheap pullover sweatshirt. Just some friendly feedback :)
Couldn’t agree more! It was the first thing that came to mind. Has to go with a shirt.
Grossly overpriced.....double its competitors with same movement....and 3x the price of equivalent German
This is a much more expensive orient bambino. No thanks.
Watch is way too overpriced.

Oh come on. 2100 USD for a simple straight forward watch.
Agreed. Saw the price; moved on.
Overpriced.
