Sorry I missed your comment. Typically in our area the last week in April through the middle of May the crappie are spawning. You will continue to catch males on the beds for a few weeks after the spawn as they guard the nest.

If the water gets to be more than 2’ deep in the trees then they are in them.

So are they moving up to spawn at this point? I Fish Eagle Creek and I'm trying to figure out when it happens and DNR is no help
