    Hi Everyone! This week we're making beautiful sugar flower dahlias! Unlike the other tutorial, this one will be a bit more wild looking because we're going for a Dinnerplate Dahlia.
    Feel free to use the guide in the video for your own dahlias, but know you can add more petals, or you can add less. Make each dahlia unique and your own!
    Let me know how it goes!

    Dahlia’s is one of my favorite flowers and I’ve been looking for a good bud tutorial. Do you have one? I can’t seem to find it. I like your style and am now a new sub! 😊

    Hi what gumpaste did you use? is it flexible or will it be hard when dried. I love this flower x

    • @FiveTwoBaker
      @FiveTwoBaker  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! I use my own recipe, which I sell as a course (linked in the description if youre interested). It will eventually get stiff (since its 100% edible), but as long as there is humidity in the air, the flowers can stay flexible for months. ❤️

      Your right! 🤔 I wonder why I didn't. I kept it simple for these flowers and used a 6 leaf flower punch out cutter to make the green calyx. After punching it out, I thinned it a bit and threaded the stem through, glueing at the top. I hope this helps until I can come back with a visual. 💖

    Hi i was wondering if you could tell me what brand of gum paste you prefer? Or do you make your own?

    • @FiveTwoBaker
      @FiveTwoBaker  2 роки тому +1

      Definitely! Unfortunately, I am going to say homemade is best. I say this because knowing how to manipulate and adjust your gumpaste for your specific needs and climate is priceless! And I just don't think this is attainable with store-bought, unless your climate and needs are always the same. That said, I am biased because I only work with gumpaste that I make, and mine is flexible and mostly translucent, so I just don't think I could ever go back to store bought. If youre interested in my recipe, I do have a link for the course in my description. If not, definitely google one and play around with it so you get to know it and how you can adjust it. I hope this helps! ❤️
