This was one of the best rig rundown interviews I have watched. Nice production! I love to hear this young man play. Joe is very talented gives me great hope for the future of guitar and great music!
All rig rubdowns should be like this!!! Loved getting to hear him play through his rig!! This is why I watch these: in hopes of seeing this kinda thing!!
Great interview and rig rundown Jason, thank you! The tone Joe Robinson gets out of that Strat is awesome and his playing is very cool, creative and interesting. Like other posted comments I know nothing about him, but will be checking out more of his music for sure. Love his sound, amazing feel and tone for such a young player.
Met Joe last year during his Australian tour, 3rd time I've seen him live. Really great dude and super great tone. Amazing playing considering his age. Cheers for the video Premier Guitar!
a complete genius so incredible i have watched him since he was sixteen please come back to Canada Joe You would like Winnipeg a lot of musicians come from there a lot like you only its cold so you hide in the basement playing you get to play in the desert but kind of the same just love listening to your playing
i've seen him 3 years ago, on his last tour before he (mainly) to electrics. He has so much feeling in his playing. Also he was so nice and kindly in the meet and greet, just a great guy!
Wow, I don't know what I saw this kid on before, but I'd kinda written him off as just another shreddy, noodly, technique-comes-first sort of player, but he's WAY more musical here than I was expecting! I happily stand mistaken and corrected:) Keep up the good work, Joe! And PG! :D
Looking at his guitar output cable, it looks as if he has 2 separate cables that have been wired in parallel possibly? Is that true? I also thought that you were never supposed to do so? BUT his sound, sounds amazing! It's clear & tight & the overall tone is just great. So maybe I'm completely wrong about the parallel loading down of your pickups. He may not even be doing it. I would really just love to hear more about parallel loading down your pickups. If it is a real thing & I'm not making it up. It would be great to find out more...
Just curious, does anybody know if took his 6122 to a luthier to actually cut some f holes in it? Every Country Gentleman I've seen just has painted F holes, presumably to cut feedback. Unless I'm mistaken.
David Laboga cables from Poland. They're unbelievable; I've got two custom cables from David and never have problems with them. Indestructible and worth every penny.
I think you read that the wrong way, I meant it as a compliment! They don't look for musicians in Britain/America's got 'Talent', they want somebody they can manufacture an image around thats going to go down well in the all important 12-16 age demographic.
I love it! The Jazz Master is a one of forty six, but it still hes the Chinese Export (CE) on the back engraved neck plate. cudos to Fender for being such shits they can't be bothered to do the limited edition stuff in the Master Build USA.
This kid plays a mean guitar and looks like he's in One Direction... How is this kid not ginormous? Unless of course he doesn't write pop or WGWAG songs, I guess that would make sense
I know, people are reading that comment completely the wrong way, I'm saying that he is too accomplished a musician to serve up the dross that gets you through the 'has talent' shows. I can see it now, but I thought it was obvious what I meant when I posted.
I love when the artist actually plays their gear during a rig rundown and even lets us hear every pedal!
Great video featuring an awesome talent!🙏🏻

I never heard of Joe before, certainly not the last time I will lay my ears in his hands. He sounds GREAT!

he's got a great feel on that guitar. first time i've heard him play. I'll see him next time he play's
already a legend...
I like the rig rundowns, when the actual guitarists show WHAT they do with the set up, and it's not just a techie guy showing the gear.
Wow, what a great guitar tone, and playing!
Never heard of him, but I like this young fella!
phenomenal player. Never heard of him before, but he has a great feel and great chord knowledge. Definitely checking him out.
An amazing young talent!!!
simply quite brilliant
Those 30 watt Laboga's are a ball tearer of an amplifier!
I've never heard of that kid before but he's got the best tone in his hands than I've heard in a while.
What an awesome guitarist.
Man those Brierley Pickups are Awesome!
Great sounds! Will defo be checking this guy's tunes out
Yes his acoustic playing is top notch as well, his level is up there with the greats!
Great Rig rundown!!!
Joe's pick-style playing on the Strat is particularly great!
Yeah man, that's a very nice rundown!
Oh man...this kid can play!
His rig sounds fantastic.......only because he sounds great!
sick sound and touch.... man that touch... some just got it heard in a simple chord...!
Joe Robinson is one of the best guitarists on the planet

Every rig run down should end like that. Nice to see an Aussie on there too
Wow he got and awesome tone!
Great set up
Nice rundown! Never heard of this guy but he can play!
Can't believe he has 16s for b and e string on the matton. This guy has super powers.
So surprised that you use Laboga amp.
Greetings from Poland, keep rocking Joe
sounds so good
Great player, with a great big pedal board(s)!!!
Wow, I don't know what I saw this kid on before, but I'd kinda written him off as just another shreddy, noodly, technique-comes-first sort of player, but he's WAY more musical here than I was expecting! I happily stand mistaken and corrected:)
Keep up the good work, Joe! And PG! :D
Brierley pickups are awesome ;)

Please do a rig rundown of Halestorm? or The Virginmarys?
The kid's good. Never heard of him but hope I hear more. Thanks from an old fart...
Real nice!
I would have question his guitar cable. Is it doubled up for the two amps?
sweet tone
What happened to the telecaster?
What was the deal with the tape wrapped cable???
like Eric Johnson,Love this kid
I agree.
12s on high E...you got guts
Whata' cool kid!
What kind of shoes is he wearing Eric Johnson wears the same ones.
The Sword rig rundown!!!
Like this guys sounds. I hear a little EJ in there.
Laboga from Poland!
What kind of cord into his Strat there?
David Laboga cables from Poland. They're unbelievable; I've got two custom cables from David and never have problems with them. Indestructible and worth every penny.
Proudly like it and agree :) I've got 3 of them - best sound ever.
Cheers from Poland ;)
JOE!!! YOU'RE THE SHIT! THANK YOU PREMIERE GUITAR...
Smokin Joe!!!
that tone
They do have artists doing the rundown sometimes. But keep in mind the artist probably get a fuck ton of interviews every city they visit.
Interesting deal with the doubled B string
although I kinda think they won't feel like cooperating, a Godspeed You Black Emperor Rig Rundown would be very interesting to watch
that's the kid I saw from Jackson rare guitars! smoking Joe Robinson
what's that song at 11:00 ? anyone?
Maaaaaaaaan this guy knows how to play......
skills!
PG please do a rig rundown on Iron Maiden...
First!
Also, Joe is an awesome player and a nice guy to boot.
Reignwolf Rig Rundown!
nice of him to play something, mostly just hear the pedals if your lucky,or worst case scenario the tech does the rig rundown.(spoils my day)
I think you read that the wrong way, I meant it as a compliment! They don't look for musicians in Britain/America's got 'Talent', they want somebody they can manufacture an image around thats going to go down well in the all important 12-16 age demographic.
Check the comments underneath, it doesn't say what you think it says..(sigh)
Hahaha, what is this new Video mod ? :)
Do you mean Lethal Injection ? Maybe ;) Because I think the riff at 11:00 is almost an improvisation :D
Laboga. Jak miło :)
What about his cable? Some tech voodoo there.
He sounds like the jazz version of John Mayer. I dig.
nice kid, cool video
I love it! The Jazz Master is a one of forty six, but it still hes the Chinese Export (CE) on the back engraved neck plate. cudos to Fender for being such shits they can't be bothered to do the limited edition stuff in the Master Build USA.
Welcome to the club. Check out Jess Lewis as well.
This kid plays a mean guitar and looks like he's in One Direction... How is this kid not ginormous? Unless of course he doesn't write pop or WGWAG songs, I guess that would make sense
Actually, I believe he would have won here too. :)
It's like this video comes from '83. I expected it to be sponsored by the Mutual of Omaha.

Guy has learned a few things from Eric Johnson.
