There is an issue with the blaming of QA/testers just after the 1 hour mark. In my experience across multiple industries including games, QA always knows and reports what is wrong, but it isn't their responsibility to fix it - or even to prioritize the fixes.

There was a lot of good takes, even from the chat as well, but admittedly, after using WSAD in Halls of Torment, I realised I loved that method, plus it wouldn't be restrictive for spells since Wow etc have millions of binds and it can still handle that control method. But regarding minions and their god-awful AI, I think there should either be a way to tag a circular area to move your minions to, or a spell that makes the target agro your minions. Something to make pet-classes more viable, in a game that has a hectic battle system with mobs all over the place. It'd even be alright if you had your minions fight in a perimeter around you, there are likely a few solutions for those with a decent imagination.
I kinda thought Summoner Necro should have special minion abilities you use on your hotbar to control and order them to do. Like a puppet master your spells/abilities are used through the three different minions, and as a Summoner you get access to new minion options in the book that changes how each type functions.
Haha I play it to help relax and get break from games like remnant 2. It’s good contrast playing both these games. Diablo is my closer to bed time or my game I play when tired
I just been playing classes and going for weird skills. I mean most the game is pre set “blizzard” created builds via items and all so you don’t really make a unique class, but I’m running maul on my Druid and trying to nature fury/companions hybrid just to change up the game and I think ya probably season 3 the game will be a lot better but for now I’m just enjoying it by playing inefficiently lol
Yeah as an indie Dev like blizzards and this being their first game I'm glad they found that problem quickly... Imagine if this was a Dev that's been around for decades with multiple games of the same genre with way way minor problems... Owell they should learn from their mistakes hopefully Diablo 7 is where they finally find their stride in game developing.

@@M3phobic Yeah? How? They said when a character enters your screen its entire inventory has to load. That's why they cant increase inventory space. It's such a core part of the game code that they can't give us more inventory space.

About the capstone dungeon… The mobs he died to with the frontal attack can easily be avoided by getting close to them and moving around them in a circle as you attack.

@@Rocksolace I should have been specific. I play a sorcerer and many of my attacks are shoot and move. For CC, save your unstoppable ability specifically for the CC (teleport for me). There is a slight delay with their attack. If you keep moving clockwise around him, he does that frontal attack towards your last “snapshot” location and will miss you. I defeated this dungeon easily at lvl 56.
There won't be any competition. Anyone who takes ARPGs seriously will be on POE2, no doubt about it. Diablo 4 is as deep as a puddle, high chance it always will be. POE in the last 5 years has been as deep as the Mariana trench. Diablo is for teenage boys in high school, POE is for men in their mid 20s and up.
It took over 500 hours (Season 0 and 1 combined) for me to finally get 1 Ring of Mendeln. Where my friend who has played 400 hours has gotten the ring 7 times (4 in S0, and 3 in S1). He even got Lidless the first day it was released in S0.......
95% of his points are valid and well explained but he is doing a dungeon which is 16/17 levels higher than him.... it would be a shock if bosses and elites could not 1 shot minions. It's not bad game design if mechanics which are 16/7 lvl higher than you 1 shot you or your minions and if the mechanics are well telegraphed and not bugged ofc.
In this game if u build right u can just clear the dungeon like that. Other classes don’t have to worry about their minions dying. So only the necromancer is held back doing higher level content and is incentivized to not even use the minions for higher dps
I would agree that the reason Asmon is having a hard time is because he's under leveled but having cleared the capstone dungeoun and blowing through a majority of the tier IV content.... it is fcking annoying (Also running into this problem on my minion build) Having to do any backtracking is not fun.. How you going to let me in the cool kids club, teas me w/ the items then hit a wall and tell me i need to go back to the kiddy pool... feelsbadman Love D4, hope they address this, or make the capstone actually reflect the content in that world tier.
I think it's also because he's focusing on minions and as you can see there are some rare affixes like fire enchanted that just murders them. Blizzard has said they'll fix this though but yeah... minion builds in higher levels feel rough
This update was a complete disaster. There's players who can't even do the seasonal content because the quest and rewards are bugged. They've not even acknowledged knowing about the bug 12 days on.
I’ve lvld 4 necros up to 90 using different builds. I just don’t understand his thought process on gear and aspects. None of my minions die on my minion build. I can tank 4-5 offscreen turret shots before even noticing they are thr. Every time he says it’s a game/dev issue I cringe. I came from Poe and knowing that he’s dumped so many hours into Poe and can’t figure out the gear mods he needs frustrates me.
Forget the minions. Sacrifice em. Breeze through. Mobs melt most bosses 3 taps and they are out. I'm in t4 nightmare 35-37 at 82 necro is so strong. Could do higher tier NM but just building glyphs.

Tbf I took a big break after the campfire. Mad about a lot of things. Then I started my first Necro for season 1 and the gameplay of Necro has been really fun. I like that the season journey starts you off with really synergetic aspects. I felt really good about minions 1 to 50 honestly they feel fine. They are even fixing the damage they take in the next patch this weekend. So Necro feels so fucking rn. Way more fun than rogue to me. The bone golem is clutch asf spawning corpses after it takes damage. My only complaint is curses never activate I have to bash my buttons in
Realistically there's only really a handful of things you can build around as a Necro. Bone Spear/Storm/Spirit Sever Blood Lance REALISTICALLY that's about it. 4/6 of your necro slots are always filled with Blood Mist/Corpse Explosion/Corpse Tendrils/Decrepify(or Reap, now that Decrepify is just on a malignant heart), regardless of actual build. Minions just can't fit all of that, regardless of how much damage they do (honorable mention to a Blood Surge build though, the only spender that properly synergizes with minions).
I am so glad that Admongold is good at reaction videos. I love his takes and insites. I wouldnt watch him if all he did is play games. He constantly complaines and makes the experience extremely uncomfortable. I love asmongold just cant watch him play games
one thing i noticed that bothers me is that i cant group adds up reliably, the monk from d3 you could pull them in and hold them there, there is nothing like that which sucks because the range trash hyper aims for you and they, even after there patch still just walk away. its a dumb mechanic. the frost mech to me is so out of wack nothing like being cc'd for 5 seconds and they just kill you. 95% of all my deaths are because as a non range you are forced to stand in cc, or burn cooldowns and just run away and wait. the ground aoes they place are hard to see. I will say im still hopeful for future changes, but i think that it will take about 5 or 6 before they figure it out. and really 10- 15 before they start making the correct changes. Personally D3 was and is a better game.
1:32:00 Am I wrong or does damage equipment make you less effective? Not repairing always makes me feel squishy and weak. Seems like a snowball effect.. Port to town? Regardless, fire enchanted is definitely a bad affix. It hits too damn hard. Also, problem with minion builds is that its hard to ramp back up once they die. It was the same in D2 IMHO.
Main problem in this game is that it consumes too much time to check the items you get to see if its better/useful. You have to stop playing every 10 minutes or less to check what you got for at least 1 or 2 minutes. To the point that in order to have a fun session you need to have space in your stash to dump everything there and at the end or start of the sessions go through all the loot you hoarded, and that brings you back to the problem of stash space.
I started playing druid this season, played a couple of hours over 2 days, never touched since then. I actually dread going back to complete the season pass at least. Wish I didn't buy it...
I am glad you gave D4 another try, IMO its about a 6.5 out of 10 right now, but seasons and expansions could pull the game up higher. Blizzard staff was really dumb for nerfing everything into the ground before season, and should have done that in a better way. The season has still been fun for me to play through. My biggest grips are them killing power leveling of my alts. I just got my Tempest Roar at level 83, and now I have to pick to respec and have that take hours and ridiculous amounts of gold, or level another toon to 80 just to be able to use the tempest roar. My other big issues was not on them nerfing damage but my gripe was them slowing down cool down reduction. I think D4 can be a really good game, but it's not all the way there yet. Blizzard wanted big numbers on D4 to sell to Microsoft, and I feel the game was rushed due to wanting to sell Blizzard. That is my two cents.

Man, i played a rogue in S1 and its soooo much better than Sorc, its like playing a different game. I dont think people understand how bad sorc is because these, what amounts to professional players, make it look doable. I mean I was able to kill the BUtcher 2x with a bunch of kiting an 105min with my sorc, usually i just let him kill me and respawned. Last night I was wondering why I was taking so much damage while killing a group of enemies, I had to use a healing pot for the first time in like 4 levels...well the butcher was in the group, when the group died he had like 10% health left, I almost killed him like a trash mob, rofl. ITs a vastly different game not playing the gimped sorc.
@@bosszola yea, last time i was able to kill the butcher on my sorc was around lvl 60. I had to kite him in circles, took like 15m. After that I really never had a chance against him, I couldnt even get through his shield and my cooldowns would be gone, wait for them to come back up and his sheild regenerated. I just gave up and whenever he spawned, i just let him kill me. Hell i had the same problem with the mounds and things you had to kill in hardcore dungeons. I had to swap gear, for more dps just to kll them. I had so much damage mitigation and armor stuff, so everything didnt one shot me that my dps was just horrendous. Still got one shotted plenty though. My sorc is sitting at lvl 99 I just gave up on it and never even bothered to get the other lvl. no way i could kill uber lilith, I had hard enough time on lvl 70 capstone.
@@josiahburks2479 And half the time an elite resists freeze and you do no damage to mobs as a sorc unless they are froze or volunerable. So if an elite mobs resists your freeze you now extended the fight for 30 seconds. as it takes two freezes to kill an elite. Some groups of mobs take 4 or 5min to kill, a boss 5 to 10min to killl as you only do real damage the times he becomes volunerable, and during all that time, you almost cant get hit with anything as you are so fragile, just a crap class.
I'm 76 ice shards and was doing NMD level 36.. missing control and piercing cold. and walking through it like it was nothing (except mana issues on boss but still beat it) D4: barrier = thumbs up not gonna die, no barrier = x_x

1:28:50 I don't think "the Fire Thing" is broken. It's just resistances. Poison and fire, as well as the lightning mobs are so good, because you can't defend against it other than just evading the damage. The only thing that is really garbage, is the resource-drain when damaged. Whoever designed this for a game where your full amount of "primary resource" is way less than any mob beyond L50 deals in terms of damage, should get his fingers and toes cut off. In Re: Map Overlay. In Diablo 2 you had the choice betweeen deactivated map, overlayed map or map in the corner. Most everyone played with the overlayed map, because it didn't really clutter the screen, you could keep your eyes in the middle of the screen and you had instant awareness of your overall position. Same with the keyboard. Just give people the choice and option. Nobody forces anyone to play it only with keyboard or only overlayed map. Just you do you and let everybody else do them.
I actually like the fact you gave someone a chance (however they botched the chance) to have a real conversation about what it is you actually don't like. Clearly you like POE, which is fine IMO. D4 is a completely different game catering to a whole different group of people. I would love to talk to you off stream and really understand what it is you don't like. You don't like a majority of the game, fine. This is a very new LIVE game and the Devs have tried (maybe not as hard as we would like) to change what negative feedback we give them. Can someone tell me if I’ll like this game? I absolutely loved Diablo 3 and I’ve been holding off cuz the reviews but it’s on sale rn and yeah is it worth it
played the sever build without minions killed elias at 57 in 30 seconds changed to a minion build at 78 and had to go down 10 tiers on my nightmare dungeons. decided to switch to bonespear at 82 and increased 20 tiers easily. Even got the unique ring for minions now but the minions are way to stupid so i dont even wanna try it again
Keeping it 100% honest, the thing about ARPGs for me is that by the time I finish the campaign I'm pretty much done with the game loop and want to play a different genre entirely. And it's not just D4, but it was the same with D3 back in 2013 and D2 back in 2001 for me. That being said, I had fun with D4; it was a decent challenge-- but I started after season launch, post-nerf, I didn't look up guides, and I intentionally played an off-meta build. Had I played at initial launch, I probably would have been more annoyed about the nerfs and the idea of starting a new character for the season. And had I min-maxed a character I probably would have disliked the game for being too easy.
Unrelated but how is everyone leveling? Im only 25 (with taking breaks and having a social life) but ive been doing quests & helltides and Tree of whispers. Would dungeons be better?

I don’t understand why he would get himself into a frustrating position, playing a worse build in a +10 lvl nightmare dungeon. Some aspects of the game is bad, lets be real, but you can try and avoid them as much as possible while finding some fun and joy from the game. If you can’t, this game might not be for you until the devs actually make the finished the game.
I have a super similar build rn except for golem. I have bone splinters. I agree w asmon tho sever does more damage and is way more fun to play than the bone spear skill
I love Asmon as a streamer but the constant rant about Blizzard is getting out of hand. I completed Diablo 4 on World Tier 1 once and moved on. I suspect I did not miss a lot of fun stuff. And about WoW - I honestly didn’t even know people still play that game if not for his rants 😂
Whoever successfully puts together streams/videos that show devs and testers actually playing and testing the game that includes them suggesting, complaining, praising, etc. will be wildly successful. I honestly feel bad for the devs who probably enjoy the work they do, aside from getting constant blame for everything that is “bad” in the game. Everyone thinks they know someone else’s job, especially when they aren’t tied by NDAs and want to keep said job. “Community managers” get control of the pulpit, devs get all of the hate, as if they have 100% control over the entire product. The fuck if I’d want to put all of my energy and creativity into something that gets shit on by a bunch of thousandaire RGB-bathed whiners who know next to nothing about the inner workings of the industry that supposedly provides enjoyment to themselves and their viewers. Generally, developers on their own can’t just say “This is the way it should be so I’m going to implement this feature/fix because it’s the best for gameplay and it’s what the players want.” To say it’s the fault of “shitty developers” instead of viewing it as more of a systemic problem of how the industry is run as a whole is ignorant and insulting to the people who sit and actually code what you play, and who may disagree with the implementation just as much as you do.

I love how the WASD argument is "its not in the game" like they are forgetting that its game via controller. Controller allows moving while attacking, aiming in different direction than moving and ability to dodge in different direction than facing. The whole argument is dumb as fuck. Just add WASD, its literally the only reason i play with controller. So annoying.
Yeah, they have the push to move but it's kinda buggy compared to D3. If your mouse cursor is hovering over anything that would normally be interactable while holding the push to move key, it stops working. You gotta aim where you want to move, but so many things on the screen can stop it from working like your skill hotbar, the potion, the evade, items or gold on the ground and so on. If i'm going to get into a big fight with lots of stuff dropping I have to toggle off the item labels because it can actually get me killed.

My minions have never died to aoe or pretty much anything else. Bad build issue.

Frozen targets can’t kill me and the others I go unstoppable with flame shied teleport or ice armor.

There won't be any competition. Anyone who takes ARPGs seriously will be on POE2, no doubt about it. Diablo 4 is as deep as a puddle, high chance it always will be. POE in the last 5 years has been as deep as the Mariana trench. Diablo is for teenage boys in high school, POE is for men in their mid 20s and up.

I was bummed out about the season update but after playing it and at level 55 now, I'm having a lot of fun with rogue. Can't complain.

A really strong shield off hand makes you near unkillable helps pets also.
Shield is kind of bad though. 2H Scythe is much better for pet damage and Bone Storm can also make you basically unkillable with good added DPS.
Well you sacrifice some dps for some defense. Interesting side note you can't put offensive aspects on shield but you can add defensive aspects.
It took over 500 hours (Season 0 and 1 combined) for me to finally get 1 Ring of Mendeln. Where my friend who has played 400 hours has gotten the ring 7 times (4 in S0, and 3 in S1). He even got Lidless the first day it was released in S0.......

95% of his points are valid and well explained but he is doing a dungeon which is 16/17 levels higher than him.... it would be a shock if bosses and elites could not 1 shot minions. It's not bad game design if mechanics which are 16/7 lvl higher than you 1 shot you or your minions and if the mechanics are well telegraphed and not bugged ofc.
And some builds just won't do it
In this game if u build right u can just clear the dungeon like that. Other classes don’t have to worry about their minions dying. So only the necromancer is held back doing higher level content and is incentivized to not even use the minions for higher dps

I would agree that the reason Asmon is having a hard time is because he's under leveled but having cleared the capstone dungeoun and blowing through a majority of the tier IV content.... it is fcking annoying (Also running into this problem on my minion build) Having to do any backtracking is not fun..

I think it's also because he's focusing on minions and as you can see there are some rare affixes like fire enchanted that just murders them. Blizzard has said they'll fix this though but yeah... minion builds in higher levels feel rough

This update was a complete disaster. There's players who can't even do the seasonal content because the quest and rewards are bugged. They've not even acknowledged knowing about the bug 12 days on.

I’ve lvld 4 necros up to 90 using different builds. I just don’t understand his thought process on gear and aspects. None of my minions die on my minion build. I can tank 4-5 offscreen turret shots before even noticing they are thr.
Every time he says it’s a game/dev issue I cringe.
I came from Poe and knowing that he’s dumped so many hours into Poe and can’t figure out the gear mods he needs frustrates me.
They are fixing the minions def by improving def against attacks from certain mobs. But the Agro system needs to be improved for the minions.

Minion targeting has been this way since Diablo 2
Forget the minions. Sacrifice em. Breeze through. Mobs melt most bosses 3 taps and they are out. I'm in t4 nightmare 35-37 at 82 necro is so strong. Could do higher tier NM but just building glyphs.
Not having minions isn't a necro then u mind as well just call it a dark sorc... Non minion builds r boring af.

Tbf I took a big break after the campfire. Mad about a lot of things. Then I started my first Necro for season 1 and the gameplay of Necro has been really fun. I like that the season journey starts you off with really synergetic aspects. I felt really good about minions 1 to 50 honestly they feel fine. They are even fixing the damage they take in the next patch this weekend. So Necro feels so fucking rn. Way more fun than rogue to me. The bone golem is clutch asf spawning corpses after it takes damage. My only complaint is curses never activate I have to bash my buttons in
I started as a necro and minions are absolutely worthless at higher levels. Hopefully they change that

Realistically there's only really a handful of things you can build around as a Necro.

Blood Lance
REALISTICALLY that's about it. 4/6 of your necro slots are always filled with Blood Mist/Corpse Explosion/Corpse Tendrils/Decrepify(or Reap, now that Decrepify is just on a malignant heart), regardless of actual build.
Minions just can't fit all of that, regardless of how much damage they do (honorable mention to a Blood Surge build though, the only spender that properly synergizes with minions).
Wherever blizzard goes, Asmon will follow, even if it the bottom of the hell itself.
Unless Blizzard goes to the barber, the gym, the dumpster, or literally anywhere with grass.

one thing i noticed that bothers me is that i cant group adds up reliably, the monk from d3 you could pull them in and hold them there, there is nothing like that which sucks because the range trash hyper aims for you and they, even after there patch still just walk away. its a dumb mechanic. the frost mech to me is so out of wack nothing like being cc'd for 5 seconds and they just kill you. 95% of all my deaths are because as a non range you are forced to stand in cc, or burn cooldowns and just run away and wait. the ground aoes they place are hard to see.
I will say im still hopeful for future changes, but i think that it will take about 5 or 6 before they figure it out. and really 10- 15 before they start making the correct changes.
Personally D3 was and is a better game.
1:32:00 Am I wrong or does damage equipment make you less effective? Not repairing always makes me feel squishy and weak. Seems like a snowball effect.. Port to town? Regardless, fire enchanted is definitely a bad affix. It hits too damn hard. Also, problem with minion builds is that its hard to ramp back up once they die. It was the same in D2 IMHO.
Main problem in this game is that it consumes too much time to check the items you get to see if its better/useful. You have to stop playing every 10 minutes or less to check what you got for at least 1 or 2 minutes. To the point that in order to have a fun session you need to have space in your stash to dump everything there and at the end or start of the sessions go through all the loot you hoarded, and that brings you back to the problem of stash space.
Less items. More useful items. Who wants to stare at piles of useless shit. Games are supposed to be fun and this one isnt.

I started playing druid this season, played a couple of hours over 2 days, never touched since then. I actually dread going back to complete the season pass at least. Wish I didn't buy it...
I am glad you gave D4 another try, IMO its about a 6.5 out of 10 right now, but seasons and expansions could pull the game up higher. Blizzard staff was really dumb for nerfing everything into the ground before season, and should have done that in a better way. The season has still been fun for me to play through. My biggest grips are them killing power leveling of my alts. I just got my Tempest Roar at level 83, and now I have to pick to respec and have that take hours and ridiculous amounts of gold, or level another toon to 80 just to be able to use the tempest roar. My other big issues was not on them nerfing damage but my gripe was them slowing down cool down reduction. I think D4 can be a really good game, but it's not all the way there yet. Blizzard wanted big numbers on D4 to sell to Microsoft, and I feel the game was rushed due to wanting to sell Blizzard. That is my two cents.

Man, i played a rogue in S1 and its soooo much better than Sorc, its like playing a different game. I dont think people understand how bad sorc is because these, what amounts to professional players, make it look doable. I mean I was able to kill the BUtcher 2x with a bunch of kiting an 105min with my sorc, usually i just let him kill me and respawned. Last night I was wondering why I was taking so much damage while killing a group of enemies, I had to use a healing pot for the first time in like 4 levels...well the butcher was in the group, when the group died he had like 10% health left, I almost killed him like a trash mob, rofl. ITs a vastly different game not playing the gimped sorc.
Sorc mains should just quit D4.

@@bosszola yea, last time i was able to kill the butcher on my sorc was around lvl 60. I had to kite him in circles, took like 15m. After that I really never had a chance against him, I couldnt even get through his shield and my cooldowns would be gone, wait for them to come back up and his sheild regenerated. I just gave up and whenever he spawned, i just let him kill me. Hell i had the same problem with the mounds and things you had to kill in hardcore dungeons. I had to swap gear, for more dps just to kll them. I had so much damage mitigation and armor stuff, so everything didnt one shot me that my dps was just horrendous. Still got one shotted plenty though. My sorc is sitting at lvl 99 I just gave up on it and never even bothered to get the other lvl. no way i could kill uber lilith, I had hard enough time on lvl 70 capstone.
I experienced that too between Rogue and Sorc. Rogue easily knocks back and down elites very early on where Sorc constantly has to run or melee.
@@josiahburks2479 And half the time an elite resists freeze and you do no damage to mobs as a sorc unless they are froze or volunerable. So if an elite mobs resists your freeze you now extended the fight for 30 seconds. as it takes two freezes to kill an elite. Some groups of mobs take 4 or 5min to kill, a boss 5 to 10min to killl as you only do real damage the times he becomes volunerable, and during all that time, you almost cant get hit with anything as you are so fragile, just a crap class.

I'm 76 ice shards and was doing NMD level 36.. missing control and piercing cold. and walking through it like it was nothing (except mana issues on boss but still beat it)

1:28:50 I don't think "the Fire Thing" is broken. It's just resistances. Poison and fire, as well as the lightning mobs are so good, because you can't defend against it other than just evading the damage. The only thing that is really garbage, is the resource-drain when damaged. Whoever designed this for a game where your full amount of "primary resource" is way less than any mob beyond L50 deals in terms of damage, should get his fingers and toes cut off.
In Re: Map Overlay. In Diablo 2 you had the choice betweeen deactivated map, overlayed map or map in the corner. Most everyone played with the overlayed map, because it didn't really clutter the screen, you could keep your eyes in the middle of the screen and you had instant awareness of your overall position. Same with the keyboard. Just give people the choice and option. Nobody forces anyone to play it only with keyboard or only overlayed map. Just you do you and let everybody else do them.
Now compare this reaction/excitement to Asmon playing Vampire Survivors or Halls of Torment for example xD

I actually like the fact you gave someone a chance (however they botched the chance) to have a real conversation about what it is you actually don't like. Clearly you like POE, which is fine IMO. D4 is a completely different game catering to a whole different group of people. I would love to talk to you off stream and really understand what it is you don't like. Obviously you are too big and your time is worth way more to you than speaking with some random person that watched your videos a few times, I don't expect anything but backlash but I feel like this should be said. You don't like a majority of the game, fine. This is a very new LIVE game and the Devs have tried (maybe not as hard as we would like) to change what negative feedback we give them. I really cant defend them because I'm just some random, however, i can probably speak for positive D4 players and say its really not that bad if you understand grinding is necessary. We all know you aren't some casual so don't act like you cant grind a bit for some better gear and beat the "unbeatable" content you are preaching.

Path of exile is made for ex devs of Diablo. Diablo is made by people who think they know what gamers want while still catering to shareholders. These are not the same game. But Diablo is trying really hard to disguise itself as competition for PoE 2

He was upset because the entire game is just one big GEAR check with very little effort put into the SKILL aspect of combat in the game. In other games you can beat content that's higher level just by actually playing well and dodging. However there's no "getting better" at D4. There's no dodging the dogshit D4 boss aspects that blow up your entire screen like they did to Asmon and that's why he got mad. Because it's not about skill, it's only about numbers.

I played again for 2 levels and quit again already LOL. Have yet to even get a character to 50 in seasonal and had 4 characters 50+ on Eternal.

played the sever build without minions killed elias at 57 in 30 seconds changed to a minion build at 78 and had to go down 10 tiers on my nightmare dungeons. decided to switch to bonespear at 82 and increased 20 tiers easily. Even got the unique ring for minions now but the minions are way to stupid so i dont even wanna try it again

Keeping it 100% honest, the thing about ARPGs for me is that by the time I finish the campaign I'm pretty much done with the game loop and want to play a different genre entirely. And it's not just D4, but it was the same with D3 back in 2013 and D2 back in 2001 for me.
That being said, I had fun with D4; it was a decent challenge-- but I started after season launch, post-nerf, I didn't look up guides, and I intentionally played an off-meta build. Had I played at initial launch, I probably would have been more annoyed about the nerfs and the idea of starting a new character for the season. And had I min-maxed a character I probably would have disliked the game for being too easy.
Unrelated but how is everyone leveling? Im only 25 (with taking breaks and having a social life) but ive been doing quests & helltides and Tree of whispers. Would dungeons be better?

I don’t understand why he would get himself into a frustrating position, playing a worse build in a +10 lvl nightmare dungeon. Some aspects of the game is bad, lets be real, but you can try and avoid them as much as possible while finding some fun and joy from the game. If you can’t, this game might not be for you until the devs actually make the finished the game.

I love Asmon as a streamer but the constant rant about Blizzard is getting out of hand. I completed Diablo 4 on World Tier 1 once and moved on. I suspect I did not miss a lot of fun stuff. And about WoW - I honestly didn’t even know people still play that game if not for his rants 😂

Whoever successfully puts together streams/videos that show devs and testers actually playing and testing the game that includes them suggesting, complaining, praising, etc. will be wildly successful.
I honestly feel bad for the devs who probably enjoy the work they do, aside from getting constant blame for everything that is “bad” in the game. Everyone thinks they know someone else’s job, especially when they aren’t tied by NDAs and want to keep said job. “Community managers” get control of the pulpit, devs get all of the hate, as if they have 100% control over the entire product.
The fuck if I’d want to put all of my energy and creativity into something that gets shit on by a bunch of thousandaire RGB-bathed whiners who know next to nothing about the inner workings of the industry that supposedly provides enjoyment to themselves and their viewers.
Generally, developers on their own can’t just say “This is the way it should be so I’m going to implement this feature/fix because it’s the best for gameplay and it’s what the players want.” To say it’s the fault of “shitty developers” instead of viewing it as more of a systemic problem of how the industry is run as a whole is ignorant and insulting to the people who sit and actually code what you play, and who may disagree with the implementation just as much as you do.

I love how the WASD argument is "its not in the game" like they are forgetting that its game via controller. Controller allows moving while attacking, aiming in different direction than moving and ability to dodge in different direction than facing.
The whole argument is dumb as fuck. Just add WASD, its literally the only reason i play with controller. So annoying.

Yeah, they have the push to move but it's kinda buggy compared to D3. If your mouse cursor is hovering over anything that would normally be interactable while holding the push to move key, it stops working. You gotta aim where you want to move, but so many things on the screen can stop it from working like your skill hotbar, the potion, the evade, items or gold on the ground and so on. If i'm going to get into a big fight with lots of stuff dropping I have to toggle off the item labels because it can actually get me killed.
