fresh installl on another pc anpull the hard drive install it in the mac pro take out the hard drive with osx then u dont have to use bootcamp just run windows no stability problems its my main rig 2006 mac pro 1.1 runnin windows 7 64bit
If you run the heaven benchmark in windows, do you get a stutter on the dragon or on the spinning floating island? I seem to get some kind of stutter on that and playing on an online game when the maps load in while roaming so I cant pinpoint if it is the processor or what.
Hi Can I play smoothly PUBG on Mac Pro server Intel Xeon 3.2ghz quad core?
Mac Pro Xeon sleeper build ftw! 👽👽😍
+MrSammy upgrading to 12 cores (80$) is possible and it supports the gtx 1080.
So nvidia 10series cards work now? I thought you could only use the 9series nvidia with osx? do u know bro? 🙂
There are certain fixes for it. However you need the model 4.1 or 5.1
Oliver The Creator oh ok cool, i didnt know that, thx for the tip 🤓
🙂 I just checked on intel ark, Xeon X5650 are hyperthreaded 6 core 12 threads, coincidentally thats just like the new i7 coffeelake cpus that just came out for $350 each individual cpu ☕☕😍
So you can play mine graft without lagg?
+cousins studio j,d,d you can run 4 minecrafts at the same time in highest quality while all 4 games joined the server that you are also running.. Probably even more then that tbh.

just shared your video to one of my subscribers good job! i should be getting this one soon!
amazing performance for a mac! even though it has all those cores they aren't even at 3.0 ghz and it still runs amazing most games use only 2 to 4 cores anyway!
SERGE Tomb Raider 2013 will use all 8 cores for sure, it treats the dual cpus as if it was an i7 with hyperthreading. 8 threads is 8 threads either way 👽🤓
@C Rizzy 🤓 Thats good, fortunately most of the pc games dont seem to give an error running 2 cpus, if u run Afterburner it should hopefully show all the cores and all the threads running just like ryzen 🐢🐢😊🍎
@C Rizzy 😊 im only half way done with TR 2013, things keep coming up and i get interupted
@C Rizzy 😍 i plan on upgrading my 950 to a 980thai next year yay! 🐢🐢🍎🚤😍
@C Rizzy 😍 ok i will get both 🐢🐢
hey can you test bf1! I will be releasing bf1 footage for mac pro 2013 very soon wonder how it compares probably very similar except my current xeon config is at 3.7ghz I will be also using a 12 core cpu at 2.7 doubt that will help gaming but for some games it could help.
SERGE all cores can be used with most programs but a lot of the time you have enable some hidden options. I could definitely record some more gameplay in the future, I will use Shadow because of the small impact.
Use fraps to record fps there counter is big and yellow can't miss it.
I don't think that a 2009 computer still perform like this today
Good job Apple
actually there are better comps that this from 2009
hp z600, 2008, easy to upgrade, ddr3 pc-5400, dual xeons, not much for storage tho
Anyone know if it's possible to replace the mobo and PSU? Because I've seen the insides of some of these and it looks like it would be pretty hard to replace
It depends what you have, if you have the quad core version you need to have similar to the Intel Xeon W3530 and if you have the 8 core you need similar processor to the Intel Xeon E5620.. You can easily put in a new GPU but keep in mind that you do need a special power cable so that the motherboard and power is fed to the GPU..
dang this thing is dank! how amazing is that that you can even put a titan x for around 1000 USD I almost got one but the single core scores are somewhat low same with multicore unless you get 12 core. its still a fast machine but the mac pro 2013 just has that amazing design! Either way though great video!
SERGE do keep in mind that with the 4.1 model you have a bottleneck with the PCI 2.0 but this shouldn't be an issue, and you can easily upgrade both processors to a Xeon X series for a lot better performance and overclocking can also be done.
How come it can only play 30 fps of that Space Engineers game. I mean it looks ugly af. It doesn't even deserve to be played.
i have a pc with a xeon e5-2690 v2 with a gtx 1070, love it, works perfect and runs all games
Can this computer be used for game development - Unreal Engine 4..?
Hey Epic Ace,
Thank you so much for your video posting.
Could you please test adobe premiere rendering on mac osx?
this is awesome I also did this, but that monitor has 16 ms delay and that is a little downside for playing games
Would the 2010 model or this one play siege or dying light under Windows?
Very awesome, I wish I have a Dual-Xeon with GTX 1080 or 980 ... But I only have a x5675 with a GTX 780. Most new Games run's smooth on 1080p .. Is only the one perfomance system with Mac OS and Windows but very expensive :/
or put a titan x!
is any bottlenack gpu
hi like you video about upgrading the mac pro! i am looking for the same update i have a Mac Pro mid 2010! can i just switch the gnu and cpu??? and what are the cpu´s I can take???
+Phonorar sorry its GPU and CPU !
Im picking up a Mac Pro Early 2009 (4,1) for $300. Have 8Gb ram and 250GB drive plus 3 2TB drives in raid config. I will probably sell the 2TB drives to recoup my investment and invest a high end graphic card and new dual processors and rams. Anyway, your video give me hope! Its going to be my new hobby!
No problemo. Make sure you score a new pair of 2x Xeon X5690 6 cores for optimal performance and upgrade that dusty ddr3 ecc to 32 or 64GB! You should also put the entire OS on a m.2 pcie adapter (120gb) so that you gain optimal speed. Put in some new WD black pro drives for storage (fastest ones at 7200rpm)
How much did it cost you to upgrade that?
honestly can't remember but it's just a gtx 980 with an adapter cable
I want to do that. :)
Mac its not amazing xeon its amazing
Motherboard? RAM? Cooling? Case design?
I wonder how you boot to windows ? Is the card you have flashed ?
Boot in apple, settings, boot selection, select windows partition, restart. That's it.
Yeah, but, then if you want to boot from Apple disk again ? same thing inside windows ? Cos i have a free ssd on my drive and i want to install Win 10. I also want to be able to switch between OS when i want to, and with card without boot, kind of hard.
That is pretty impressive. I just picked up a 2008 3,1 Mac Pro in a yard sale for $200.00, it works great. Do you think I could do the same to it like yours?
xCOLONELDIRTYx yes you could, make sure to check your PCI speeds before buying it. Also, you can upgrade the dual Xeon's for really cheap.
Before buying the Graphics card? And that's awesome, do you have any particular Xeon chip you would recommend?
xCOLONELDIRTYx your Mac Pro has a PCI 2.0 slot witch means you could better get a simpler card like a 660 TI and run it in SLI. (2 cards working like 1). For this you need special PCI power cables (will run you about $10) and for CPU the maximum you can go for is the Xeon X5492 with a lot higher clock speed. ($80 on eBay) I would also suggest upgrading you ram to 16 or 32gb of ECC DDR2 800Mhz ram.
Epic Ace Oh okay, Thanks a ton for the info; you are of great help!
You boast about 64gb of ram and how it's crazy. But you neglect to tell that the mac only utilizes 16gb of it in bootcamp. It's not an 8 core cpu, it had two quad core processors with hyper threading technology give it 8 cores, and 8 threads. 16 threads all together. And bootcamp is very stable. Medicare review at best.
This is a computer review, nothing to do with Medicare smh
