I like how the Smilodon rips everyone to shreds except for the guy with the knives. It just claws him in the chest and stares at him like "Wow, you actually thought you had a chance? WEAK.".😅
Arguably, I feel like the most gruesome kill wasn't Anthony Bricklin (played by John Rhys-Davies), but Lola (played by Nicole Tubiola). She gets carried off while still alive and screaming and the moment you hear the screams stop is when she dies. Also, from a movie standpoint, the only way I could see this Smilodon killing so many people in two days in the film is due to the growth acceleration formula they gave it in the film increasing its appetite and metabolic rate. If this were a real Smilodon, it would probably need about 10-15 pounds of meat a day to survive. A human-sized meal or a deer would feed a Smilodon for at least a week before it needed to hunt again Additional things about Smilodon have been learned since this film came out: 1. Adult Smilodon fatalis could reach weights of up to 600+ pounds. 2. Smilodon did not aim for the head in most cases when hunting in real life. Unlike what is said in the film, it preferred to go for the throat, as severing the jugular veins and carotid arteries was the quickest way to kill prey, with a successful hit killing their prey in a minute or less. Additionally, Smilodon preferred horses, bison, deer, tapirs, giant ground sloths, and camels as some of its preferred prey, based on isotope ratios taken from bones at the La Brea tar pits and elsewhere. 3. Smilodon was likely highly social, and given there was little variation in size between males and females as shown by skeletons from the La Brea tar pits, it's likely their social structure was closer to a wolf pack than a lion pride. 4. Injuries and congenital defects so severe as to impede adults permanently have been found in many Smilodon specimens, but the fact that these animals survived long enough to heal and eventually die from being mired in tar rather than succumbing to their injuries suggests the injured Smilodon were cared for by their family groups. 5. Smilodon's bite was about as powerful as a large dog's. The weak bite was a result of the efficient saber teeth and powerful neck muscles that Smilodon used to drive its head during a bite. 6. Smilodon could bite into bone using its sabers, but this was likely rare due to the risks. However, several Smilodon skulls from North and South America suggest they would willing risk biting into bone in fights with other Smilodon or to attack glyptodonts (giant armadillo relatives the size of cars). Dietary isotopes taken from Smilodon specimens in both Americas suggest they were not hesitant about attacking armored prey as part of their diets, and the South American species, Smilodon populator, included caimans (a type of alligator) in its diet. Tooth marks on ancient horses, bison and wild pigs also suggest Smilodon could eat the smaller bones on a carcass just like lions do today when feeding. 7. The Smilodon fatalis in Sabretooth pales in size comparison to Smilodon populator, the largest species of this genus. The largest adults may have weighed in excess of over 1,000 pounds, making them the heaviest cat to ever exist. 8. Smilodon cub fossils suggest that they were actually born with small, serrated sabers, and that they lost these at three years old, when their adult sabers had finished growing in. The milk sabers (as they are properly called) acted as support struts for the adult sabers as they grew to full length.
@@thathorrorguy1974 Agreed! People can *dump* on "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" and now "Dominion" all they want, but I always like to remind them that you _can_ do *WORSE,* and "Attack of the Sabertooth" is a stark example of how to do so.

1:10 A TWO TOWERS ALTERNATE DELETED SCENE OF GIMLI'S DEATH BY A WARG? WHOA!
Of the 2 sabortooth movies i think this one is better.
It has some unrealistic moments but that makes it memorable.
You know it’s really scary the fact that recent scientific studies show that they can do a majority of what’s shown here
Well prob not the stab peps w sabors thing.

Every Animal Looks Like Lois Griffin
At least they use an animaltronic and not crappy CG-
God dammit !
Some shots feel like a videogame, but others look like a real animal
Up Next: Tremors 5
After That: Attack Of The Sabretooth
this is great and can you do attack of the sabertooth 2005 if you can find it
I plan to
Better than what came AFTER it IMHO (I'm talking about "Attack of the Sabertooth").
I just did a video on that, it was one of the worst movies to look at
