No way the pressure is more than what LeBron had. His coverage was crazy back then. Not only was “you better be HOF, but you better be the GOAT as well.”
We'll never see a hype like that again and that was without social media
How did that turn out?? Lebron surpassed everyone's expectations!
Reach for the stars and land on the Moon. Still better than never reaching.
I feel like the pressure has to be seen though the lens of where they were in life. Like bron was just him and his mom and them basketball checks. Bronny, is growing up with the fruits of that, and I assume the bron ain’t trying to make his son feel all of that and so they are soo different. I hate nba media
I disagree. Lebron definitely had hella pressure on him for sure but there’s no way you’re telling me the kid of one of the goats isn’t under more pressure
He’s a legitimately good prospect it’s not fair to put all these pressures on him we can see the affects of that during his HS career he can be a solid NBA player he’s the most scrutinized HS prospect of all time
It may not be fair to compare him to Lebron sure. But pressure and comparison among his peers is what comes with the territory when we’re talking about who gets to make it into the NBA. He shouldn’t get an easy pass into the league because of his name either. I think a lot of pressure he’s experiencing is coming from the fact that he appears to be overhyped
@@Bvzz47 exactly but he didn’t overhype himself I don’t think he wanted those kind of expectations
Blame it on his dad 🤷♂️
I have been impressed with his improvement. But, at the same time, i dont think he would be rated top 10 if not for the name. Yet, anyway. By draft time 2024, the current trajectory, yes.
@@shanebodendorf4793 I blame it more on media
He’s a complete player if you’ve ever watched him live. He has quick recovery on defensive/offensive mistakes. There’s a lot of guys whose talent/skill won’t show up until college or whatever level they decide to go.
He is not a complete player at..only biased fan boys say that. He is not even top 100 at his age.

I think one of the biggest factors that people seem to forget is work ethic and off court decision making. We've seen potential generational talents come and go because of boneheaded off court issues or just failing to work on their craft. He isn't as talented as some of the other kids in his class but he certainly seems the most level headed and mature. Also seems willing to put in the work to get where he wants to go. That combined with his dad knowing the proper way to maintain his body and train, Bronny could have a very successful time in the league.
He smokes weed
@@mr.g6758 oh no stop the presses. A kid smoked weed. League doesn't even test for it anymore.
@@kylemcculley1481 not saying that. Smoking weed is relaxing. But weed isnt the best for the lungs. Especially for an athlete. I still have high hopes for him. But why are you whining? You hurt about weed not being a good thing for athletes?

Bronny’s boost in his ranking is absolutely because of his dad. However it’s both from the exposure that his dad brings him, and the fact that Bronny will have access to NBA level training. He’s legitimately good though.

His HS team wasn't very good and he only made second team all league. So, like, the actual basketball evidence seems to contradict the narrative here.
I really agree with the DMelt comparison. Whenever I see bronny highlights or read a scouting report on him, I immediately think “that sounds a lot like melton”. Even his shooting form kinda looks like same. And that’s no shot at bronny, DMelt is an incredibly underrated player
That’s the floor for his game his ceiling is very high
@@juice4617definitely not his floor. Closer to his ceiling if anything
Nah fr people just are numb to greatness nowadays so if your not an all star you don’t get respect. I hope he comes to the league and solidifies his role as a rotation player. Hell maybe 6th man
@@Tomi1k he’s in hs let him play college Atleast
Yeah it’s him or GP2 IMO for Bronny
I think Bronny would be perfect in a situation where a playoff contender with a lone star misses the playoffs like Dallas this year and then Lebron can play alongside that star, and Bronny can be depth off the bench.
Bronny is definitely really solid. He’s an 6’3 athletic guard who’s good on defense and fundamental yet explosive on offense but I still haven’t seen anything that screams future NBA star to me but we should still give him some time
I think he will be like a budget marcus smart.
@@NotGordHes most likely gonna be way better than smart in every aspect of an nba offense
@@sr_aron based off what. He hasn't shown anything to show that. This the problem people keep making these projections without understanding how good dudes in the nba are. Yeah cause that’s definitely the only thing to his game is defense😂😂😂
And he’s not 6’2 where you get that?😂
Bronny is 6’4
They'll draft him because LBJ comes with him, and that's worth more than a rookie contract.
I think Bronny is going to be a solid player all on his own. I hope he takes advantage of everything his dad does for him. From exposure to training.
Bronny won’t be like his dad but he can definitely be a jrue holiday type of player
@@arjunoncrack7560 Tbh I can't say. You never know this early. He could mess around and be better than his pops. It's not likely but you never know. Just hope he continues to grow and get better. Don't listen to the media and just focus on balling. Make your own legacy. Leave it all out on the court.
@@williambrown1801 these ppl are so weird bro why are they trying to compare everything omg
I swear they're giving him this ranking because he will be so much more prepared for the league than anyone else with his dad. It's damn near guaranteed he'll be an impactful player for years. He ain't got some incredible natural talent but he is talented and works very hard on his game. I think he deserves it a little
well then look at austin rivers.... his dad is doc rivers he is a career back up. doc was a good player and a great coach so he should have been prepared.
I hate to be a dick but this is so stupid. Anyone who believe's Bronny James is *guaranteed* to be an impactful player shouldn't be allowed to have a single thing they say about basketbal be taken seriously. Do I think he makes the NBA? Sure. But no 4 star player is guaranteed to be an impactful NBA player. We are literally watching as Emoni Bates, a player who was thought to be a number 1 can't miss draft prospect, might go undrafted. Emoni Bates, who some ESPN analysts thought was ready to play in the NBA in 2020. The reason you believe he's guaranteed to be impactful is because ESPN and youtubers lie to you for views. I would have no problem if you said you "think" he can do it but people should be eye rolled out of existence if they believe it's "guaranteed".
That's not how it works
@@matthewzimmerman92 He was prepared, KG already said he was going to the league after Austin was cooking in a Celtics practice, while he was still in high school.

Totally worth it. In the end. the NBA is a business and a lot of people would pay to watch bronny and Lebron play together.
Bronny is a legit player. If he doesn’t pan out to be an all star, I think he’ll at least be a significant x-factor player. Literally like lonzo ball with a 40in vert
lonzo is like 6'5 6'6 with above average athleticism. that's a huge size difference.
@@vince3139 bronny is 6’4 that’s not a big difference
@@isaiah5682 he’s 6’4 now??
Lonzo averaged a triple double in HS. Stop it.
There’s a pic of him standing next to Lebron and there’s legitimately 6+ inches difference in their height. I don’t believe that 6’4” number at all.
Ever since I saw Lamelo Ball be projected to go into the 2nd round until literally the week of the draft, I don't trust any high school footage. People said Lamelo wouldn't even make the league because he averaged like 15 and 9 in his last year of high school. He was picked 3rd overall.
Bronny is a pure athlete with great mechanics and stellar defense. 1 year of college to bulk up, refine his play, etc and he very easily could go top 10, if not top 5.
Also, let's not rule out Bronny will grow anymore. Literal dozens of NBA players gained several inches out of high school
Hasn’t he reached 6-5 - 6-6?
Betting on LeSperm is the new wave
@@darthsilversith667 he’s 6’4 I’d say rn but he has about a 44 in vert
Lamelo put up numbers
Lamelo averaged like 22 and 7 at spire if I remember correctly
He’s gonna learn how to handle this criticism and pressure because his dad is Lebron James. The master with dealing with negative criticism. He might not be better than his dad but I think he has allot of potential to become a star in the nba . I think it’s well deserved, he already lived up to the hype with having your dad being an all time great. Not every kid can deal with that pressure that young.
His dad on pEds though
He’s not THE CHOSEN ONE. But I am rooting for this kid and I hope he has a long NBA career.
Thats right. Lebron was claimed the chosen one. However, it really dosent help that his name is bronny because he has the same name as his dad. Hes definetly very good guard player. But if theres too much pressure on him, we dont know how good his career will turn out. Plus he just got out of highschool, yall need to chill😊
Bronny's hype is more comparable to Lonzo Ball than LeBron, his father just happens to be one of the greatest ever
His names carries a lot. I played against guys averaging 20ppg and winning state titles who weren’t ranked top 20. Exposure helps as well. Bronny is very good, but exposure, his name, and hype is making him better than he is.
I agree about the hype to a point. Depends on what you mean by "very good". If you meant he's a legit d1 talent compared to the D2 and D3 talent of the average high school player, then I agree. If you're saying he's a surefire future NBA player, then I would to disagree. His name alone is putting him in discussion of the NBA, not his talent.
He just proved on the MCdonald`s all american game why he`s ranked this high
His biggest weakness is his handle. I think he moves alot like his father but lacks the size to get to the rim the same way he does. Though, if he's anything like his father who has an incredible ability to constantly improve, his ceiling is high. Like you said though, when you're on a powerhouse team you have to sacrifice things. When i see Bronny play, it's almost like hes ready to make the right play, but his team is not(they just want to score). His intangibles are just crazy, but i would put him top 20-25 range.
He is young ffs he’ll develop 😭😭😭😭😭
he can easily get that better
Thats why i dont like what the media is saying. They ranking him higher than he should be. Hes still developing boy. Compare to his game at 15 years old compared to this year
Ive been waiting for this video!!! I was beginning to think I was the crazy one.
Bronny needs about two years of college. The number one issue with bron is that he is undersized. Being a 6’2-6’3 who was expected to be about 6’6 kinda hurts him sadly. Sadly bronny is going to always be linked to his dad.
Yea being 6-7 inches shorter than ur dad is crazy I’m 3 Inches shorter and that’s unique most people taller than their dads
@@lundoren5240 nah most boys aint taller than their Dads if the Dad is very tall
It's easy to be taller than your Dad when he is 5"6 lol
@@lundoren5240 that’s complete bs.
I don’t know much but with what I’ve seen and heard, he’ll definitely go top 25. It depends on how much time and work he spends in college. He’s definitely putting his head down and working rn and I cant wait to see his development
Depending on how lebron is looking a lottery team is going to draft him just because they know they’d be getting brob as well as a solid rotation player they can develop and if they think they’re one player from competing they’ll take the chance for a year or 2 of lebron to try to get them to the mountain top
His improvement in the last two years is nothing short of phenomenal. Many kids of former greats take a while to develop. In two more years when he enters the draft he'll be a top ten lock.

I agree, I haven't followed him much but from some of the stuff I've seen I always thought if he continued to steadily improve through out college he would become a solid 6 man type player. Doesn't seem like work ethic and attitude are a problem at all so he has a good chance at that.
Ya came a long way mike😢.. keep up the good work!

He just play within the system that he is in, You see this all of the time, NBA players be on one team and they do not do much; but when they get into another system they become stars and people are like I did not see that in them. 'Jermain ' Oneal, Tracy McGrady, Jordan Clark' Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups' and the list goes on.
Crazy how grown men hate on a child
Bronny is gonna be a role player at his peak imo. It's more so the value of brining his dad with him.
Mike relax bro. Bronny going to the league. The NBA needs him BADLY.
I watched BRONNY live at the copper box - he ain't take a lot of shots assuming he wanted the youngers to get involved - there's no denying his basketball IQ, feel for the game, scoring ability and mid range shooting
Competition and play style matters! Numbers don't always tell the full story.
I just watched him played in mcdonalds all american, and this kid is a marvelous, He's shooting the ball like he's the best in the court, and his shot was straight cash. And the confidence mannn, he's ozzzing
the fact he looks this polished in the highlights shown and hes just come out of highschool is amazing
Those highlights you showed of him kinda tells me he is a 5 star recruit..
They told me he was at least a 2.5
There's probably a reason you ended up pursuing a different career from scouting.
He’s teaming up with Isaiah Collier at USC, calling it right now
I CALLED THAT SHIT
I thought LeBron was a janitor playing on a high school team back when LeBron was in high school...
What you mean by that 🤨
Bro the amount of glazing from everyone in the media on a young, successful, famous, star athlete who happens to be LeBrons son, is insane. He’s in HIGHSCHOOL, could you imagine half the country talking about you comparing you to one of the greatest basketball players of all time and constantly putting pressure on him to be something that he hasn’t even got a chance to do yet… in your junior year of hs… like cmon yo. As a point guard, he has to tighten his handles imho. That’s one reason why he can’t create too much and his coordination in traffic has to improve as well. I’ve never seen him play but these are two important areas I believe has to improved for him.
How do you know what he needs to improve upon if you never watched him play?
Bronny is not a point guard
Most top 10 picks end up to just be role players anyway

Marcus smart was a bucket in college and high school tho. Was a real scorer, changed his focus once he was in the league
@@Rickflare247 He was a 15pt guy through both HS and College.
The media ruins these kids. Look what happened to Austin Rivers. Those media dummies said he’d be rookie of the year, an mvp, and on the cover of nba 2k16. And they gave no attention to Steph curry…who then went on to accomplish more than all of that
I think he will be solid but I don’t see any high upside with him unless he has a growth spurt
this is sad to watch after what happened to bronny this summer, hope he gonna bounce back and do alright
It’s because he’s gonna be great in the mental. And with his size he would be a pg in the league like he is now. He holds his own on offense and has crazy scorers around him in his Highschool team. Therefore plays wouldn’t be made for him, but made for him to pass, swing pass, and draw the defense inwards or outwards to create space for his teammates
