      Obviously, the whole James family could pack up shop and go ride off into the sunset. Bronny was set for life the day he was born. The question is, is his entire life the Bolt movie, where he thinks he's the shiznit, but everyone around him is making a fake life for him, or does he have what it takes to legit get what he's getting. Does he know this is all bs and his dad is giving him a life he didn't earn? Or has he gotten to the point where he's fooled himself.
      I honestly don't care either way. He's set for life and I still have to hustle to pay the bills!

    What I hate about this move is it limits Bronny's options for developing and chasing his own life goals. The moment his dad retires he will be without a team and will be out of a job while not having a college degree. He's not a true nba prospect and it would be better he find something of his own to chase and do in life. I don't think this will be healthy in the long run for the man who Bronny will become.

He can’t have it both ways, regardless if he jumps in the league this early and flop or turn out half way decent,people will never give him any credit for his own success. I think you said it best: there's nothing organic with this whole story of Bronny playing with his father and that it's simply a product of his dad's dream and Paul's manipulation behind the scenes to get Bronny drafted to the Lakers at 55. They even gave him a standard contract when most players in his position would be lucky to get a 2-way contract. If he went back to college, transfered, worked on his game and improved his stock for 2025, we'd all look at Bronny differently because he did it his way and not as a result of his name, his dad dream and agent manipulation.

  • @sixxeyes2710

    I feel bad for Bronny. He's always stuck in his dad's shadow no matter what he chooses. Chooses the nba, gets called a nepotist . Doesn't choose nba, everyone would've hated him anyways because of their unrealistic expectations of him because he's lebron's son. Yes there is clear nepotism but it's coming from Lebron and the media. I truly believe Bronny wants to make it in the nba on his own talents but that's hard to do when Lebron is choosing to use every resource available to him to get Bronny at the top. It would've been better for him to not pursue the nba for a career but that might have ruined his relationship with his dad which he might be scared of happening. Sports kids always feel that pressure to please any parent like Lebron who can't realize they're suffocating their kid with unrealistic expectations.

There are likely far more talented players out there who aren't going to get the opportunity to get themselves to the NBA level like you mentioned Bronny will have. Bronny, just happens to benefit from the treatment.
      Sometimes in life you have people bat for you in a way that isn't exactly fair or based on merit. The only thing you can do in those situations is if you are on the positive side, prove that it wasn't a mistake and if you are that unlucky 59th person that doesn't get drafted because the son of a legend moved up 50 spots just know someone in the gleague will want the 59th guy and you just gotta go the long way if you really want it

    The craziest thing is that the Lakers are essentially wasting an opportunity to get a steal in the second round in favor of someone who has no business even being in the G-League. Leadership has no spine. Whatever LeBrat wants, LeBrat gets, right? He’s going to destroy that team on the way out after he is finally able to play alongside his overrated Nepo Baby son. Bronny will be humbled quick.
    I used to love the Lakers and some of my favorite players of all time were Laker legends. Now, I can’t stand them thanks to GM LeBrat and his Los Angeles LeBrons.

    LeBron James is exceptional in every way (as a father, friend, philanthropist, elite athlete, family man) so I believe he’s equipped his children with all the skills and love possible to succeed no matter what. Praying 🙏🏾 his son will stay healthy and excel in the whatever profession he chooses.

    • @Shay416
      @Shay416 3 дні тому

      Hmm you could be right but can we challenge it a bit.
      A father's job is to prepare his child for the day he won't be there. Setting up your child for a opportunity he's clearly not ready or prepared for seems a bit harsh.
      Keep in mind dude missed 6 games because he was recovering from a cardiac arrest at 21yrs old...a good father would have the honest conversation and allow his son to develop into the man he is.
      Bronny could have had a million jobs circled around the NBA but it looks like he's taking a shortcut.
      With that being said, I completely empathize with a father pulling out all stops to help their son but I am really concerned about the long term effects. It could really mess him up long term.

    The numbers were bad, but the fact is the tools are there and Bronny has very real potential to be a Kyle Lowry type player at his peak. I think he WILL play in the NBA and at an NBA level given time, which to me makes his inevitable drafting fine, if not totally fair.

    • @Shay416
      @Shay416 3 дні тому

      But again he's so far from that mark. I really wish he would have developed more in the college level before taking the jump. Let's be honest LJ still has a few years left in the league why the rush this year, especially so soon after your son being hospitalized for a heart condition.

    Im writing this BEFORE I watch the video... But please, you all should get a life. Stop being jealous and/or "farming for engagement" with a young man who's making his way in life.
    Bronny is MORE than worthy of being the 55th pick. He was the 27th player in his class coming out of high school before he had his heart STOP in practice. Theyve been guys picked in the 30-50 range who never ever made an SUMMER LEAGUE roster much less a main roster.
    Hes got HIGH athleticism and ELITE defence for his age plus a HIGH ball IQ. And since there was not a SINGLE player who was clearly more deserving of a drafted spot, even if he was only picked cause of his Dad, then SO WHAT??? He's been given an OPPORTUNITY. Now its on him to make it work.
    Finally Rich Paul had to threaten teams not to draft him before 55... It means multiple teams wanted him ABOVE 55. And any allegations that his rising in the mock drafts was enginnered is just stupid. Especially since some of those mocks are done by the same media outlets attacking Bron and Bronny
    PS: He measured 6 ft 1 AND A HALF in the combine. IN BARE FEET. Throughout history all players have neasured 2 inches shorter in feet than their listed height until a few years ago. News flash Jordan was actually 6 ft 4.5 in bare feet and Shaq (by his own admission is only 6 ft 11 not his listed 7 ft 2)

    I'm going to say something brutal here about one of your points. From the outside looking in, Americans only root for the Underdog if they are White and especially if they are competing against Black people. Other than that, America does root for the winner, Michael Jordan is the prime example, Floyd Mayweather was unbearable but Americans paid for his fights because he won. Why were there so many Golden State Warriors fans after 2015? Why is there so many Lakers fans in the 00s? Why is there so many Bulls fans in the 90s? America loves a winner and there's nothing wrong with that but it's annoying that Americans try to deny it

    Players do this exact thing all the time, your gassing the privilege thing hard. I mean he is a player that was drafted 55, last time I checked that is not favorite. Players always pick where they want to go. Look at Austin Rivers playing for his dad but there isn't any scrutiny as much because the best player ever son is doing it too. Just let the kid play basketball.
