- In this video I go through a step-by-step guide on identifying, symptoms, and treating Spider Mites in Venus Flytraps. The two pesticide products I recommend are..
Acid Miticide (smaller portion through flytrapstore):

Bioadvanced 3 in 1:

And for predatory mites..
Californicus Predatory Mites:

(keep in mind these need appropriate conditions to survive)

This video is exactly what I needed💯 your videos have been tremendously helpful. Thankyou.
Great tips! Glad to know it's possible to buy a small quantity of Avid.
Glad I could help
good to see you again hope to get some spring videos too
For sure. Probably a few weeks and I’ll have a spring tour out.. I want them to fill the pots a bit more
Great video. Thanks for the advice. I'll know what to do now if this happens to my collection.
Always good to prepare before things happen, so you can face it accordingly
Looking foward to the spring tour, btw, the 4 plants I bought from you last year, well they pulled through and are now pushing very healthy and vigorous growth
Awesome! Glad to hear and good luck with them this year.
Nice video again! I didn't have to cope with spidermites yet luckily.. but had to deal with aphids this year.. just used systematic pesticide once and I'm hoping it's done. 😎
Awesome. I don’t get aphids much luckily. They tend to be a lot more destructive, especially towards new growth
@@topazplantYeah they're very destructive indeed. I haven't had spidermites since I've started cultivating my CPs (6 years ago) but I've got just like 20 VF cultivars and few sundews and pitcher plants. Aphids I guess are more common in Europe than spidermites. Some growers actually spray pesticides as a prevention every spring and end of summer.
On one of my fly traps, I am not sure if I have spider mites, but one trap is growing deformed and a new trap that is sprouting already has a black head. Would that be spider mites?
