I bought two young Thai coconuts for $1.39 each at my local Kroger supermarket--excellent buy. They don't always stock them though. It was a spur-of-the-moment purchase.

Here in the islands, young coconut (niu) is cheap. Like $1-2 for a normal sized. Then there are massive ones the size of a small beach ball for $4

the one you see here have a coating to protect it from germs and other impurities however this is a real coconut.coconuts on grow from the top of coconut trees that closely resemble palm trees and are green or brown in color when it falls and the shell is very hard. al coconut are imported from other countries like jamaica or other Caribbean places

kitty Finnigan - Our Sweet Young Coconuts are not organic. To our knowledge, there aren't any fresh Thai coconut that are grown organic.

a mallet to back the cleaver right through.
The cheapest I could find was $4.99 for ONE young coconut or $40.49 for a case!!!! Smh the price is ridiculous!! I want to dona fresh coconut water fast so bad :(. But looks like I will only be able to afford the bottle multi pack smh but I think that defeats the purpose of the fast since the bottles are processed...usually from concentrate :/

You use a knife and pre cut is more expensive. I get mine and in 3-5 min I peel it. It's not that hard, you should buy them at the international markets cheaper

Taste Like Frosted Flakes
Brown coconut water tastes acidic due to the maturing. Young coconut water tastes sweet. Storebought "organic" coconut water doesn't taste like the real thing AT ALL. You gotta try fresh young coconut water!
