- This is one I've been working on for a long time. I have been a collector of the Xbox 360 for a very long time and wanted to share a bit of the knowledge of the rarer and more obscure titles on the system.

@@theeveshamgamer to be honest its pretty fun, but its not as polished as katamari so its probably better just to play that instead, even if it is a bit slower paced.
As a 360 PAL collector I really enjoyed that video!

I don't think us PAL collectors get enough recognition here on UA-cam. I've still got a good few on the shelf I'm yet to know how they play, but I'm getting there slowly. The import scene has some pretty strange games available, but I love to track them down. Thanks for watching

Epic video! Must have been a ton of work but the result is excellent & informative. Funny how there was no 360 content a year ago and now my UA-cam feed is flooded with it. On one hand it's great to see the 360 get some love. On the bad side as a casual worldwide collector the prices have gone mental so I am kind of priced out of collecting! I thought I knew a good amount about the 360 but I definitely learnt a thing or two from you. The 360 & the wii were the consoles that no-one loved or talked about. Now, it's just the wii ! The only game I have achievement stacked is Oblivion, which was quite hard work with Google translate. But you have made me want the USA genesis collection so I can trophy stack it....
Oh the 360 content is coming thick and fast from everywhere at the moment. I second that I happy that its actually getting some love these days, but I do worry that quite a lot of people have got into it as they are value focused only. The prices in the states are going to be the ones that price me out for sure. Plenty of games like Operation Darkness that I would love a physical of but its just exploded. The Japanese one is cheaper but I'm not too sure how big the language barrier is for it. The Wii is starting to get some love, but I think it was overshadowed by the small library of the Wii U that full set collectors gravitated to while it was affordable.

Glad to see an author being well informed on the subject 😄👍 Not like many others just praising their CoDs, Assassins and Fifas they got in a bundle 😆 We want more of this! As a PS3 collector myself I can tell about Japanese Biohazards situation on PS3: Biohazard 1 HD - is fully in English; Biohazard Revival Selection - only English voiceovers, all text and menus in JP; Biohazard Chronicles - only EN voiceovers, menus in JP with random english words mixed in. Only tested PS3 games, X360 could be different. Hope this helps
I'm more than happy to work on a follow up to this. To be honest I love the variety of the PS3 library too, that gets incredibly obscure. I have slimmed down my ps3 stuff to mainly just exclusives though as I found double dipping was taking up too much space in the game room. Ok thats good to know about Biohazard game. With just the English voice overs I could see that being very playable as I've been through the games enough times. If I grab it anytime soon and there is any differences ill let you know.

Absolutely amazing video, I'd definitely watch a part 2 or a similar video on collecting games for other consoles. It's clear how much effort you put into this, even going so far as to contact the actual devs in one case. You also have a very relaxing voice to listen to and mixed in just the right amount of humor. Keep up the good work!
I'd be more than happy to do a follow up to this and for other systems. I'm quite dedicated to collecting PSVita and N64 aswell. The other bits are just what takes my fancy, but I am going for a full ps2 horror set aswell, there are some really weird ones if you go worldwide on them. I had planned on watching this in sections but just ended up watching through in its entirety.
Ortho not much new information for myself personally still was very informative and can see a lot of use for others, good job man well worth the effort you clearly put into it.
Would be good to see a second part should you find the time and patience for it.
Any excuse to mention Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey is a massive plus, just such great games!

Thanks man, Yeah, I have been working on it on and off so a very long time, I'm scared to say how long. I actually had to rerecord the prices bits as they had changed so much before putting it out. By bangers I hope you mean My Horse and Me 2 haha.

£400 for wall-e 😮 that was an awesome vid ross buddy 👏 loved how you set it out and did the series. I really fancy going and playing the 360 now, especially the need for speed games 😂 that got me through a chunk of my first shift back in work 😂
That Wall-E is now listed for £899, think what you could buy for that.... it wouldn't be a copy of Wall-E I can tell you that. Get that beast fired up and play some great games. Glad it helped ease the grindstone.

For some reason I forget the Revelations games exist when I'm looking for something to play.
Blue Dragon has shot up since I wrote this, I double checked it last weekend and its already £15 now. The prices are going up over night every night by the looks of it. Everything in this is pretty much out of date now.
I found the old splatterhouse entertaining, its was never overly good but I think the setting of it always kept me playing. I'm awful at the old ones too anyway.
I needed to know the answer as I was convinced it didnt exist.

What a great video Ross. I know the 360 gets a bit of stick from some quarters of the community, but I quite like it. Though it does have its fair share of guff and not all of the games have aged as well as I remember it’s still better than the PS3 IMO.

Every system has its guff though, at least its not Wii levels haha. I just found everything about the PS3 to be inferior, to installing the games to just the build quality of the machines. I know the early 360s were rough but i've killed more PS3s than anything else. The disc drives are always failing on them.

The library is so varied that I dont understand why it didnt get the love before. Watched your pickups and saw you were going in on the 360, makes sense to grab them now before the CEX shops are cleared out. There are quite a lot of videos on youtube that follow this format but I dont think i've seen it for much gaming content.

The shift games are fantastic, I think the first is the better one though, its the one I've done the most times at least. The tracks feel like they have more ups and downs than the usual flat depictions, its hard to explain. Also you can use a helmet cam so the driver looks into the corners etc, It takes some getting used to buy on a big screen it kinda feels like a VR game.
If I was to stream Battle Vs Chess people will see how awful I am at the game, I cant think more than one move ahead.
Eternal Sonata is def worth a play but I wouldn't think too hard on whats going on.
Blur is class, get on it while its still cheap.
Wet is most definitely like a more hardcore stranglehold. Haha just to be forever known as the one with the bum.
Got so many more super obscure games I could mention at the bottom. I did put in extra clips of some really random ones in the hopes people would spot what they were.

Cracking video and know a lot of work went into this. Prices here in the UK are going insane for a lot of things now.
Just a small note I own some 900+ Pal games now and some of the bigger hitters from overseas. My El Chavo Kart is Pal compatible.
Side note to anyone who may read this if you buy a game from CEX make sure you test it works. I got a Spiderman Web of Shadows just before it went over £60 and the disc looked good but the game didn't load so got my money back as was still within my return timeframe.

Yeah I always check everything from CEX, I've had quite a few discs from them that look pristine and just dont boot, Think they have gone through their resurfacers 1 too many times.
A copy of WET just sold for £35 on ebay. Crazy how out of date some of the prices are already, but a fantastic video nonetheless and a lot of your predictions have been realised.

Thats mad, I checked the prices literally a couple days before uploading and they just wont stop climbing. CEX still have wet listed at £8 now, but out of stock. I swear there wont be anything left in that store soon and eBay will be the only way to get anything at super inflated prices. I watched it back before uploading and realised that mistake but it took so long to render I couldn't go through it again haha. Think your the first person to catch it, kudos.

I'll have to agree there, I've wanted the directors cut for the PS3 for the collection but I have heard its not as good. Reminds me I need to go back and finish off some of the achievements.

I'm an ex PAL collector, now doing the same in Japan. To comment on Seekers of Adoulin, I actually owned a sealed copy (gave it to a friend who is also a collector so it's safe, heh) pre-ordered from Game's online store as I was actually playing FFXI actively at the time. I remember the game becoming out of stock before release date which means they probably pulled it because the pre-orders exceeded the copies Square planned to release in PAL territories. That could be the reason why most people didn't see it on store shelves. Technically it's still "playable" somewhat as it comes with a code and that would register on the PC version of FFXI allowing you to enjoy it there.
Also, I'd recommend picking up Combat Wings sooner rather than later. After four years of active collecting I've only seen the game twice in Japan and I picked up both copies - one for me, other for my friend. It was affordable though at around 30-50 USD. In terms of the sheer number of copies, I've seen Sakura Flamingo Archives more and that might be the most expensive regular release ever (at least in Japan - I think it might've been the last 360 physical game released here).
That's good to know about Seekers, its always been one that confused me as it for such a large game at the time. I'll definitely look into getting combat wings asap. Roll on payday haha. How much is Sakura going for in Japan or is it mirroring over here now? I have heard that its the last or close to being the last one over there. I imagine its one that will escape me unless I sell a kidney.
@@BawhawhawYT Last I saw Sakura Flamingo online here in Japan, it was around 40,000 JPY - someone bought it at that price quickly (arond 250 GBP - yen value is ridiculously low at the moment). I bought it for about 3000 JPY (15 GBP) at a clearance (sealed) at a store called Tsutaya back in 2017 or so. I don't know why I picked it up - wasn't collecting for the 360 or anything at the time but just thought, why not? Years later, I noticed it being sold for gazillions and started thinking - didn't I own that? Checked some of my drawers and there it was, still sealed and all. It inspired me to restart 360 collecting - I was thinking, I mean, I already have one of the holy grails... I just don't know what to do with it - can't play it obviously and don't want to sell it since it's an important piece. I'm torn, heh.
Hearing some of those prices of games in your video though, I'm salivating. I'd just buy up everything if I was in the UK or something - so much good stuff for single digits!

@@BawhawhawYT Yeah, a bunch of these I am going to just rom as the price hikes are getting stupid. I picked up Blue Dragon from CEX I think just before Christmas for £3. Now it has shot right up to £15, but I think that only happened due to Akira Toryama dying which raised the price. And I stupidity didn't pick up the fallout games when they was dirt cheap, even the complete versions were under £10 but once the Fallout series dropped they skyrocketed in price also
Bloody great video! I wanted add why the Spiderman games are so damn expensive. You're right that Sony own Spidey but another note is Activision lost all rights and they're not on any digital store fronts at all including PC. It's same story with the Transformers games War and Fall for Cybertron plus X-men Origins: Wolverine. Activision can't release them again without forking out loads of money. So it's the only way to play them legally.
Licencing is going to become more of an issue than it already is i feel. I believe it should be that if a product is created thats it, it stays in its original format be that digital or physical as long as the platform is supported. It would make sense to have to renegotiate licences for a change of platform but if its already a done deal that should be it.
@@BawhawhawYT Yeah it's not right. I'm lucky I own all of the Activision games I mentioned. However, licenses will make these games stuck on older platforms. Where they could easily run on modern hardware. Look what happened to Spec Ops. Just because music track pulled it from all stores and that game is fantastic.
Another thing I should mention is about Painkiller. There is much extra content that is DLC. It's nuts. Definitely one to buy all the extras before it's gone.

Great video thanks a lot! I tend to collect 360 games that are exclusive to the system or this console gen since I don't collect for ps3.
As for multiplats, I still get 360 games that had first release on 360 before going to pc or that I associate with 360. Like mass Effect 1. There are way better versions of it but I like the terrile 360 version for what it was a the time.
I am also on a constant lookouts for games with unique version or content on 360. Like Dark Messiah which is way different on 360
Yeah some games just become synonymous with certain systems. I see it with all the Nintendo re-releases, like Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is always going to be a GameCube game to me, never a Switch game. I'm unaware of the differences in Dark Messiah, you've got me looking that up now.
@@BawhawhawYT off the top of my head, Just cause1 360 version is next gen and pc version was an original xbox port. Dark messiah got classes and different starting level and progression. graw is a 3rd person shooter but that's well known.
Xbox 360 is easily my favorite console of all time! I mod, and sell modded ones too. Collecting is awesome, and with a modded console you can download your discs and play them from your hard drive. As collectors (who I assume is reading this) I know you are collecting games, but modded consoles are more than just pirating devices. The biggest advantage I see to collectors is being able to use any 2.5" hard drive not just 360 compatible hard drive models. Lastly, XL patches you can use up to a 16TB hard drive.
To be honest them modded systems look awesome. Love when they have the front end with all the games lined up as if they are on a shelf to pick from. The only thing that puts me off getting one is the fear of being banned on Xbox Live.
@@BawhawhawYT No need to worry, stealth servers make it nearly impy. On the off chance you do you can get a new KV and boom unbanned your console.

My copy of Silent Hill DOWNPOUR NTSC works on a PAL console, but the audio is delayed when playing...Is this something that will occur in each game or it's some sort of exception?
Its been a while since I played Downpour properly, I do remember it having a lot of technical issues on the PAL version too. Are you playing with all the updates installed? There shouldn't be any issues playing the region free games, they should be the same just without the region lock. Only other thing it could be is some damage to the disc, have you tried installing it to the console before playing to see if it sorts it. If it cannot install there might be something wrong with the disc.

Cheers, I actually doubled checked the prices of what I could find them for literally last weekend. I was aiming for the lowest prices I could find them for, but since then I've seen 2 price rises over on CEX for a lot of them. Its getting crazy out there. I would love to know the ones which are the worst for being out of date though, just curious in case I haven't yet picked them up and should jump on them.

I'm currently working on a Video Response to someone and its about the price of games, but I'm having to check the prices between here and the US and some of the prices over there are melting my mind. I guess its great for people who already own the games, but it really looks like its keeping new players from experiencing the library fully.
@@BawhawhawYT I completely agree. I want to play the family guy and 50 cent game but they are far too expensive for me at the moment.
It’s also hard because even if you want a copy that is flawed in some way people will still charge you the same amount for a clean basically new copy
@@Abby2002rules it might be useful to import some of the games that are cheap over here. I can happily test some of the pal versions of the games your after on a US system to see if they run if you want
@@BawhawhawYT that would be very useful to know. If PAL can work on my US Xbox I would happily get it from there. I want to pick up a PAL and Other Xbox at some point when I have more spare cash but I’m currently transferring college so it’s hard to drop a ton of money on anything

I own the Biohazard 4+Code Veronica japanese pack. It comes with 2 discs, and both are region-locked on X360, but interestingly, since the XBLA edition of Code Veronica is backwards compatibie, you can play it using the Biohazard CV disc on your One/Series console. It'll download the Japanese version of the game no matter where you are, and it's pretty playable too, since the dialogues and most of the UI were in English anyway.

Thats good to know about the backwards compatibility. Its the same as the Ducktales remaster. It didnt come out in the UK but heard if you pop the disc into a series X it will download and play fine. Same as a couple of stacks like the Gears of War stacks will work through a series X.
@@BawhawhawYT Yeah, the modern consoles will download any X360 game as long as it's one from the backwards compatibility list, regardless of the region. Incidentally, it will always install the version that corresponds to the disc in question, it won't adjust the game to your console locale. Which is something you keep in mind regarding language, as even within Europe, some X360 games don't have multiple languages in the disc.
