I am not a fan of modern games (incomplete, huge updates, additional purchases, souless) and have recently gone back to my PS2 and 360 as the games are just so timeless on them. I was born in 94 so these two consoles were my childhood. When I started building this collection again last year I didnt want used stuff, so I splurged and went out and bought a factory sealed, brand new 360 from 2006 (the white ones look much better imo and its nostalgic for me) and a factor sealed, brand new PS2 slim from 2007. They were pretty pricy but worth it in my eyes. PS2 was $300 and the 360 was $400. Unboxing a brand new 360 from 2006 in 2022 was an incredible experience. Currently playing through Bioshock on the 360, it takes me back to a much simpler time.
That's awesome! I have a factory sealed PS2 sitting on my shelf. I feel the same as you about modern games not being complete. Lucky, more often than not, they are beatable without patches. There's a website called Does it Play, and they track if the game needs to be patched for it to work. I always check it before I buy a modern game. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@b4rs629 I've always been a fan of a lot of different genres. So, I've never been a big fan boy of any specific systems. But there are great RPGs everywhere. I think of Playstation when I think of RPGs... but Nintendo at all 🤣
RNG gamer is really down to earth and honest about the price he paid for whatever games he got keep up the good work and never stop uploading we appreciate the content
360 probably my favorite system to collect for. It still looks good and something about those green boxes I love like. Assassin's Creed 3, I remember thinking back then about Spiderman, how lame he would be if he was in rural North Carolina swinging off hog houses instead being in NY. Luckily all the super villains normally show up NYC.
Love this video! The 360 is one of my favorite consoles, you highlighted some real gems here. Bulletstorm I thought was definitely underrated it is really fun! I remember Dark Sector vaguely that game lands squarely in a category of games I like to call aggressively average haha. Can't wait for your part 2, great work!
My new local store had a mint Afro Samurai with the slip cover for $25. I snatched that up fast with Beautiful Katamari. My only other local choice was Game Exchange that wanted $45 for a disc only Afro 😂
Xbox 360 makes up the largest part of my collection. Enslaved is one of my favorite games. I expected it to be just a generic budget title, but the platforming was solid and the story was way better than expected. The 360 was just a blast of a console and really opened up the world of multiplayer games with the party system. It's surprising to me how many systems still haven't improved their online functionality. PS has an awful UI experience with theirs.
The Chronicles of Riddick games are masterpieces, especially the first one. You really feel like you're escaping a prison. Play the Xbox 360 version of Escape from Butcher Bay. It's far superior to the original Xbox version.
I love Deathsmiles! One of my favorite shoot em ups. And you are correct with Dark Souls 2. It wasn't directed by Miyazaki which makes a difference and had a fairly rocky development from what I understand. Great video as always!
Dude i loved army of two, and army of two the 40th day lol The gun customizing is sick. Even a double A game like army of two has so much more soul than modern day games Imo

The cover art does not reflect the game at all lol Bullet Witch is going up in price No one waited for dead island 2 Eternal Sonata is the game I first experienced the red ring of death
Dishonored is such a great game! I like how the game lets you approach a level any way you want. You can be violent or passive, use guns or special powers, and the platforming/traversal is great. The DLC is good too
I didn't hate it! I just couldn't get into it. It's even one that I mentored going back and trying again. Just because I mentioned a few negative points didn't mean I hated it. I looked back at my notes, and I gave it a 6/10. But, I'm glad you're standing up for a game you believe in. There's nothing I appreciate more than enthusiasm. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I started collecting for this system a couple months ago and you are right the prices are very reasonable. It has an impressive roster of shmups and third person shooters among others.
The 360 is in a weird spot. I was a masssssive 360 guy, and I have so much nostalgia for the 7th gen, especially the 360. But we had 30 fps (and below) and, often, well below even 720p resolution. So I only go back to the 360 when there isn't a pc version. Nothing will take away my years with it, but our standards for how games should run, and look, went down the toilet that generation, and the actual 7th gen console release for any game is really only there as a no other options, last resort haha. Also, Bullet Soul Infinite Burst was also not region locked, just like the first game :)
Game specs like framerate and resolution are just part of the experience to me. Typically, if it played OK back then, it plays OK now. The search for something that's always better typically leads me down the road of always feeling unsatisfied. If you have a really good meal, is it ruined because you know there is a restaurant somewhere else that does it better? I don't know... I'll have to think about what you said. I've never really thought about it before. I like the PC, but I hate that physical media died out for it.
I love the Xbox 360. It's hands down my favorite console of all time as I'm going for a complete Xbox 360 set. I have 338 Games for the system not counting special editions and I do have some of the harder to find games for it like NCAA Football 14, Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2, Simpsons Game, Raiden Fighters Aces, Family Guy Back to the Multiverse, Culdcept Saga, etc. There are a few harder to find Xbox 360 Games that I'm looking for like El Chavo Kart, Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold, Armored Core For Answer & Verdict Day, Operation Darkness, NCAA Basketball 10, etc. Either way: Great Collection as always RNG Gamer.
Thanks for always watching! I'm aware you have some amazing games, but I didn't realize it was so many! Going for a full Xbox 360 set seems really difficult. I wish you the best of luck. Can't wait to see what you find!
Operation Darkness seems like one that will definitely be a top tier pricey titles for the 360. Already is toward the top of 360 game prices and being a fire emblem clone by atlus I think it could become a $150 game as 360 collecting becomes more popular

2 main reasons why I always preferred the 360 by far over the PS3. 1. Xbox Live Arcade and Indie titles were in a league of their own. 2. All the hidden gems I would find at Gamestop in the 7.99-17.99 (maybe some 24.99) when I usually couldn't afford the $60 stuff. Saints Row, Viva Pinata, Mass Effect, Chromehounds, Oblivion GOTY, Gears of War, Import Tuner, The Lost Odyssey, Technu Z, Ace Combat 6, Bioshock, PDZ, Condemned, LOTR Middle Earth. Could go on and on.
I'm right there with you! There are some bangers on the PS3, for sure. But, back when they were new, I felt like I was constantly picking up cheap and fun games on the 360 while I was only grabbing the occasional game on the PS3. I think we can thank xbox live for bringing the whole indie game genre into the popular place it's in right now. Thank you for the great comment!
Im supprised you didint like binary domain I really liked that game. Good little story abit like terminator. Lots of different endings depending on how you treat your teammates but each to there own. And dead space did come out on the PS3 I own it unless it's the worst mirage I've ever seen lol
Just couldn't get into it... and I really tried. Thanks for letting me know about Dead Space on the PS3. These videos are unscripted, and I try to remember everything as accurately as possible... but it's a lot of info. I make a few mistakes here and there 😅
I have Afro Samurai CIB along with the Game Guide. Yes the game is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I wish it was backcompat with series X/S though, it's a hack n slash the anime is good as well (I also own both series) and the original manga volumes from Takashi Okazaki. Akai Katana is a fire Shmup as well so is Dondonpachi. I been tryna get a hold of a copy of a clean CIB of Akai Katana.
Thanks for letting me know about Afro Samurai! I'm looking forward to it. There are so many great shoot 'em ups on the 360. Hopefully, you find that CIB Akai Katana!
The deal with Culdcept Saga is that it isn't a tactical RPG; it's a board game. To play it correctly, play it like Monopoly, as if each elemental type of space is part of the same color properties. Instead of buying a property, you take it with a monster card. If someone lands on it, they pay you or try to battle you with a monster in their hand to steal it. When you own multiple properties of the same element, they become more expensive. Instead of building houses/hotels, you can increase the level of the land to make it exponentially more expensive. If your monster on a land is of a matching element to the land, it gets as additional 10 HP per level of the land, i.e. if you have a fire monster on a fire land that is level 3, it will get an additional 30 HP in battle. There's a lot more with weapons, items, and abilities, but that's the basic concept you need to play it well. It's fine if you just don't like it, but if you try to play it like an RPG, it'll be a bad time. I thinky favorite game that I didn't see here was Crackdown. That game was awesome and dirt cheap, and back when it was new, my buddy and I had a great time playing it co-op on a LAN. We rented a house together back then before either of us were married, and we set up 3 TVs in out living room so we could both play video games and watch TV at tye same time, so it was easy to just run an ethernet cable between consoles and play couch co-op that way. Death Smiles is a jam. I think it was my favorite of the 360 Cave shooter. It felt like a bullet hell take on Cotton 2, which I love on Saturn. ESPGaluda II was neat as well, but I played the first one on PS2 way more. Sorry for the length of the comment! I enjoyed the video, and appreciate your taking the time to share genuine thoughts on each of these games. It gives the feeling of having a conversation with a friend about their collection instead of a random person online parroting popular opinion. I don't mind differing opinions, and greatly appreciate how genuine it feels. Take care!
Thank you for the comment! I read the whole thing. I always do. Your explanation of culdcept saga helped. I forgot it was like a board game. When I play it again, I'll try to keep in mind that it's like Monopoly. Hopefully, that'll help. Yeah, I just never got Crackdown. I waited so long that all of the copies I saw were pretty nasty and torn up. I'll keep looking. I enjoy the Cotton games as well and mention them regularly on the channel. It was a real bummer about the PS4 port of Cotton 2 and Cotton Boomerang. I passed on the Saturn versions of them because I knew it was coming out. I really regret that. Thanks for realizing that these videos are more of a conversation with the viewer. I have no script, and I don't rehearse beforehand. I just start filming and say what comes to mind. I'm aware that the videos go long, I ramble, make mistakes, and stumble over my words, but I really try to keep it genuine. I want to engage with the community, but just show off all of my stuff. I'm glad you appreciated that!
Nice collection! Most recommendation videos I see have so many shooters in them. Do you have any good 360 games that you could recommend that are casual games and/or cozy games? Or is that not really a thing on the console? I only really know of the Katamari game and Tornado Outbreak.
Enjoyed the video, but my man you could not be more wrong about blades of time. It's nothing like X blades at all. Gameplay is really fun and complex with a decent storyline. Definitely play it. Deadfall adventure is like uncharted but first person definitely was a lot of fun back in the day, idk how it holds up now though
@@RNGGamerYT How so?? I paid someone $70 to mod it... RGH3 doesnt use a mod chip anymore... It uses the console itself to glitch hack it... Just a couple of wires and a couple of resistors....

Alan Wake is a great game. Remedy does great stuff. I am also excited for the Max Payne/2 remakes. Control was really good as well. But I am with you, I am sad the sequel is only digital.

Not got done watching your whole 360 collection yet but im sure you got Vampire Rain in the collection lol

Great video! I have a question though, is it worth picking up a 360 if I already have a one with backwards compatibility? Are there enough games that aren't backwards compatible that warrant the $50+ purchase?

Those are some great ones! I would recommend the Plants vs Zombies/Peggle/Zuma bundle! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for letting me know! Since it's a reboot/sequel to X Blades, I assumed it was similar. Thanks for watching!
Yea Dark Sector is a hidden gem. It's basically the prototype for Warframe. The guy you as is the very first Tenno.
That's really cool. I had no idea. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you letting me know about Dark Sector
12:23 I had no idea that green thing was from beautiful catamari. I knew plenty of people who had that as their gamer pic back in the day
Yeah! It's a classic for a reason. Great game series!
Having a RGH3'ed 360 solves the need for a Japanese 360 to play Japanese/region locked games
Yeah, but that's easier said than done!
@@RNGGamerYT How so?? I paid someone $70 to mod it... RGH3 doesnt use a mod chip anymore... It uses the console itself to glitch hack it... Just a couple of wires and a couple of resistors....
I didn't realize it was so easy now. Back in the day, I tried to get mine modded, and it was like $300
@@RNGGamerYT Oh yeah its dead simple... Also there is a mod that lets you run 16 tb drives on each port internally and externally... so people showhorn a 5tb drive internally or a SSD and then up to a 16tb external on each USB port to store games....
@neccros007 jezz... it's the wave of the future
Alan Wake is a great game. Remedy does great stuff. I am also excited for the Max Payne/2 remakes. Control was really good as well. But I am with you, I am sad the sequel is only digital.
I'm looking forward to Control. Hopefully, it gets picked for me to play pretty soon.
Thanks for watching!
Divinity 2 Ego Draconis is developed by Larian Studios, the developer of Divinity: Original Sin
Oh no.... that means it's going to be super in-depth.
Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for commenting
Oblivion my fav The Elder Scrolls game. I have it on pc and PS3
Oblivion is by gar my favorite Elder Scrolls game
I think this is a cool video a good game you should try in call of duty black ops it has such a good campaign
I'm excited to try the Black Ops campaign! Maybe I won't have to wait too long for it to get picked for me to play.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
❤
Just discovered your channel, love hearing the stories you have behind each game and learning about games I’ve never heard of. Subscribed!!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you found me and took the time to watch and comment.
I have plenty of things to say about every game... whether I've played it or not 😅
Im still playing xbox360 this day , beast console still alive 😂
It's one of my favorites for sure! I still play mine, too.
Thanks for watching!
Was bionic Commando's wifes name handgela or it might be Palmela.
lol.... Palmela would have been so flipping funny! I looked it up, and it was Emily. So lame...
Nice video! :) How many games do you have in total for Xbox360?
Thanks! Looks like I have 195 xbox 360 games.
❤ awesome video sincerely Wayne
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it.
Jericho was pretty cool, I enjoyed it. I also like Clive Barker
I like Clive Barker as well! I'm looking forward to Jericho. I wonder how scary it'll be
Now,this is a risk. Much like you know and I dont know why but often XBox games dont have very much value. Good prices for purchase, though. I would definitely go for the exclusive titles.
They are creeping up! I have 9 games that are $100+ dollars on the 360.
Do share 👂🏽...which ones? I'm guessing DeathMiles is on that list?
I loved the Call of Duty Black Ops campaign.
I'm excited to try it. I've really enjoyed most of the Call of Duty campaigns I've played
I thought i was the only person in the world that owned Bullet Witch lol and i have completed it. It's not the best buddy (It's not Vampire Rain kind of terrible i hope you have not played that game lol) It's more boring than anything hahaha. Not got done watching your whole 360 collection yet but im sure you got Vampire Rain in the collection lol
Bullet Witch was one of those games that hung onto my wishlist by a thread. I have an odd proclivity for bad games and look forward to them sometimes. It's probably because it makes the truly good games feel that much better.
@@RNGGamerYT Yeah im the same buddy. I like bad games sometimes hahaha what is wrong with us? hahaha. I will have to do a list of bad games i like that everyone hates. But that Vampire Rain game buddy hell no. It is one of the worst games i ever played no joke lol.
@@davpreec I bought it not that long ago... knowing good and well how terrible it was. I can't wait to see.
@@RNGGamerYT Hahaha Enjoy it buddy lol
Check out Earth defense force brothers for ps4 if you want a great couch co op game to play with your family. It's a slightly different twist on the series with a lego asthetic. You find and recruit different characters in each mission and they come with new weapons and abilities
This is on my wishlist! Did they ever release a physical version of it?
@@RNGGamerYT there is a Japanese physical. It must have English translation. Like the rest it's mindless fun but my girlfriend loves it and is always bugging me to play it
Alpha Protocol is a hidden gem I suppose, I really enjoyed it.
I'm glad! Several people have said they enjoyed it. My enthusiasm for it has increased for sure.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video! I have a question though, is it worth picking up a 360 if I already have a one with backwards compatibility? Are there enough games that aren't backwards compatible that warrant the $50+ purchase?
Thanks! It really depends on what your collection looks like. I feel like pretty much nothing I play is backwards compatible.
I use my 360 all of the time, and I rarely turn on my Xbox One
Yeah it’s worth it! Also that backwards compatibility is software not hardware so it could disappear if MS deems it so
i have all bioshock on pc
Yeah? Which one is your favorite?
i like all@@RNGGamerYT
Bring back some games i forgot about back then 😭
There were so many great games from that generation! I'm glad I was able to jog your memory about them
Great video per usual sir. Always enjoying listening to these ones.
Thanks for the continued support!
I also would bet on Darkest of Days. Have never found it locally. Finally had to resort to eBay for a copy. Very unique and charming game. 360 exclusive.
It's such a unique experience! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I found Darkest of Days at my local Gamestop just two weeks ago! Taking advantage of a B2G1 promo, I couldn't help but pick it up. I still have yet to play it.
@conservativegamer9047 that's incredible! I can't believe you actually found one in the wild at a Gamestop
Awesome vid ... thoroughly enjoyed
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that!
Alan wake was a great game! Loved it
I wish they would release the second one physically
The Chronicles of Riddick Escape From Butcher Bay i thought was great, granted, im a big riddick fan. The sequel i thought was just average.
I like Riddick fair enough. Thanks for letting me know how you felt about it. Maybe I'll give it another shot in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@RNGGamerYTof course thanks for the content! I've binged most of your content over the past month. Definitely added some games to my "wishlist" haha.
@@S1KSOW Thank you so much for all of the support!
What games did you add to your wishlist?
@@RNGGamerYTcurrently looking to get Catherine, Deadly Premonition, and Ikaruga. I was actually going to order that psikyo collection because I wanted to get into schmups (never really played them, closest thing I can think of is forgotten worlds on the genesis lol, and that's not really the same thing). But hearing about the performance issues has me on the fence.
@@S1KSOWthe Psikyo collection plays well on the PS4. Ikaruga is a hard shmup to start with... it's one of the hardest games ever made. I would recommend Cotton Rock 'n Roll as a good 1st shmup. Those are some other good picks you decided on as well.
Dead space definitely released on ps3
I realized this shortly after filming the video! Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching
@@RNGGamerYT love the channel mate. Great concept to tackle a massive backlog. Watching from Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺
@@RyanJones-mw2np thanks for watching! I was actually in Perth about 20 years ago for a trip!
@@RNGGamerYT wow no way!
@@RyanJones-mw2np yeah! It was for a family trip

Love the 360 and the video :D
I'm really glad you liked it! Thanks for watching
Did the second part get taken down? I swore i saw it earlier
I accidentally posted it in a message to everyone. It was supposed to only be intended for channel members since they get early access to all of the videos. Sorry to get your hopes up!

Lol. Cool.
Good news! Starting soon, you get to have your name listed at the end of every video! Thanks for being a channel member!
@@RNGGamerYTNo need for that, your videos are awesome and that's enough incentive to be a member. Thank You. also sorry about the bad grammer or punctiation I spent those years of school in a different country.
@@luisd.2066 Thanks, that means a lot. I don't think your grammar is bad at all. I really want to show my thanks to all of the supporters of the channel. So, they all will get their names at the end of the video, you included =) It'll only be for a second, I promise.
