thank you, this was really useful! I've been using inDesign for 10 years but never really the book function. I was dreading it because every document has a separate master and separate styles, but now I know how to synchronize them, it will be a piece of cake! Thanks again.
Thanks so much for sharing this feature. I've used InDesign for since the mid 00's. Never had to set up a document like this until now on the eve of a big publication freelance job. Good to know this feature exists. I wish your videos got pushed up in the Google hits because most page-numbering tutorials out there are Mickey Mouse-level.
Thank you and I appreciate the feedback. Others have pointed that out as well. For my upcoming video on Object Styles I will use interface scaling. Cheers
Good suggestion, I could maybe make that a short. If you want to solve it now, you'd use type -> variables to add chapter numbers. Then make sure have your numbering options correctly set up for each document. My variables tutorial might help you a bit, I don't cover chapter numbers but paired with the book tutorial you can probably piece it together. Cheers

Glad I could help out, cheers 😀

Happy to hear it, you're very welcome. I wish for that too haha.
Thanks for the video!
I would just like to recommend upscaling interface a little, because it`s looks reeeeally tiny on a regular 1920*1080 monitor :)

Thanks for the video. When I dock the book panel to the side of InDesign, it disappears. Have you experienced that?
Interesting not experienced that myself but if it gets hidden you can find it again under the window menu at the bottom.
Chapters number in hesder please.

You have great information, but it's hard to understand you. You speak too fast and mumble--sorry--it's too hard to follow along when this is all new.
Thanks for the input. Part of the reason is my audio which I''ve been trying to improve but still good feedback. Cheers
