I sometimes make balms with concentrated calendula oil. Mixed with a little bees wax and a few essential oils. It’s so beautiful to use on the skin. It’s warming on grazes, soothes sore feet. Great for dry areas on the skin. Not yet made soap with it, but I’d love to try it in a salt scrub or bath salts. Calendula really is gold in the medicinal world. What a beautiful video. 🌼
My goal is to make soap...to give to my sister in law; who is being treated for cancer and will hopefully make a full recovery. Regarding your question in relation to recipes.... I saw fresh tagliatelle made with edible flowers...something I also plan to make.
Great video, thank you. It is such an inspirational flower. I make a lip balm with it, along with plantain, rose petals, and lemon balm. I also make a salve with it with plantain and lavender too
I use dried Calendula in my herbal tea mixtures. It looks so colorful with mint, rose pedals and bee balm together. Thanks for a great video. New subscriber from the Prairies of Canada!
Hi are you Tanya Anderson who runs a popular blog, Lovely Greens which provides advice, inspiration and ideas about growing herbs, flowers and vegetables? Just asking because wasn’t sure if it was you. I’m from Australia and find your work rather interesting. Looked up all the links in this video and I’m not sure if I can get those different types of seeds into Australia? Also I suffer from severe chronic pain and have this rare condition called regional pain syndrome And wanted to ask you a few questions on your instagram page in regards to natural remedies plants & vegetables please. I know you’re not a doctor but any information would be of help 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for this absolutely wonderful and informative video! I will definitely use it as edible flower in one of my next videos! Thank you and I wish you a wonderful weekend!❤❤🌹🌼🌼🌷🌷🌻🌻🥀🥀🌹🌹
Hi, a great video thanks. searched for Resina Calendula, but none of the UK suppliers seem to have it. Can you share where you got your seeds please? Thank you. X
Hello i have been growing calendula in the garden for years, this year i have already collected four cuttings dried them in the airing cupboard then rub them together with my hands to a fine mixture & mostly use for tea, i did do an essential oil steeped in 1pnt of extra virgin olive oil with one or two ounces of calendula flowers part stem one year, stood out in the sunshine for a few weeks in a translucent bottle then strain the oil with the flowers & transfer to dark bottles & store.Been awhile since i have done that.just came across your channel very interesting best wishes
I don't know how else to contact you: I paid for and downloaded the Using Calendula - a guide to growing and using in skin care. No matter what I try I cannot print that document. I've tried every setting known to man/woman and the page keeps cutting off. I only have 8.5 X 11 paper, but I have a very sophisticated printer I've used for years to print with. Any suggestions?
The PDF is A4 sized. When you print, there will be a setting for 'fit to paper,' though. Choose that and it will print on letter sized paper just fine. Enlist family or friend help if this isn't clear :)
Morning Tanya, can you tell me where I can find you video on lavender cold press soap. I can’t find it. And was looking for the recipe for my first ever soap. Regards Kim.
Great Vlog - Calendula has been a pain for me in the big garden here - because it got away from us. It seeds like crazy BUT now we have cleaned it out and it has come back - after your suggestions - I am happy to harvest and try more than just salad petals. Thank you.
That sounds like an alright kind of weed problem to have! 😍 Any plant that takes over needs taming, though, and fortunately, there's plenty to make with the flowers
We moved to our house last fall, much to my surprise a ton of stuff popped up in my garden this year. Calendula being one. There is a ton of it so now I'm looking for ways to use it. I had no idea it was so useful! New subscriber from Canada! Love your videos.
Hi,lovely greens, I have made two different salves and both, when have solidified in the jars have a dip in the middle of the jars. Can you help. What am I doing wrong? 🙏

It has a mild but slightly peppery flavour, and I hope you have fun trying it out in food. Have a lovely weekend, too 🙂
Where can I find the Erfurter Orangefarbige Calendula seeds? thanks!
Adaptive Seeds in the USA, Piccolo Seeds in Europe, and Blooms Glasgow in the UK.

Mine are imported from the USA.
@@Lovelygreens Thanks. X
But the smell of calendula cream is so strong, isn't that bad for skin?
Calendula doesn't have much of a scent.

Is it just called marigolds at home stores?? Same thing?
Usually plants sold as marigolds are an entirely different plant - Tagetes

I don't think I have one...yet!
Hi Tanya, great information! I didn't know about the menstrual, digestive and comestible use. You have a lovely garden thank you for sharing.

How do you make the herbal medicine in the glas? Also thank you for this video. ❤
You're very welcome ☺️ and here's how to make calendula-infused oil: lovelygreens.com/how-to-make-calendula-oil/
Such pretty scenery. Lorraine
Thank you 💚
Hi,lovely greens, I have made two different salves and both, when have solidified in the jars have a dip in the middle of the jars. Can you help. What am I doing wrong? 🙏
It's perfectly normal, and the way that hot oils cool when poured into a jar. If you aren't keen on the look, use shallow balm tins instead.
@@Lovelygreens thank you. I thought I was doing something wrong. ❤️🙏
Another Lovely Greens video I'll be referring back to ❤ great video!
Thank you 💚
I never heard of calendula until i got into soap making.
It's very popular in soapmaking because the petals don't discolour 🙂
Have you ever made tea with it? Just curious.
Not for drinking, but for sodpmaking, yes.
Thank you dearly for your wonderful vlogs.
My pleasure 😊
So beautiful
Another amazing video thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
lovely video
Thanks, Steven 🙂
Thanx very much
