funny but yours was the simplest way to remove the radio, there's a guy on here that goes crazy taking shit off to get to the radio. thank for the video.
Does that Jeeps radio your working on in this video have a subwoofer output on the back of the radio? I have a 2006 Jeep commander with the same exact radio and trim.
Just bought a 2006 Commander Limited and going back to this "Old Style" radio......FML. Ive been looking into replaceing it with a touch screen sat nav bluetooth but cant seem to find a DD kit for it thats not $300, any suggestions???
Sorry I saw this so late. You probably already did the install. We have harnesses that go direct from your aftermarket radio to the car. Just give us a call if you don't see them on the site. (this was mainly for future viewers)
This doesn't apply to a 2010 commander. Those have the silver center plate that covers the ac controls and stereo as one piece. You remove the gearshift cover, a few screws in that little pocket and then pull the a/c control stereo cover plate off. You don't pull dash bezel off as in this video.

you never came right back
The part we installed ended up giving the customer issues so we turned this into a radio removal video.
The adapter you need is the PIE CHRY04-AUX/S.

A radio repair place should be able to fix it.
Could I remove the radio and plug an aux into that back area and then reinstall it? Would I be able to have aux input and regular am fm radio?
There are no reliable ones that we know of so replacing the radio would be your best bet.

This is an old comment but if you still haven't found anything give us a call. We are currently expanding into newer markets.
What type of torque bit did you use
This was a long time ago. I dont remember.
Hello, i have a question. How do you pair the subwoofer cables to an aftermarket stereo?
That's a little complex of a question for me to answer on here. Basically you need an amp and wiring. I would visit a local car audio shop.
can you tell which wire harness i can use to hook up a new radio to my jeep commander 2006 i cant find one

08-10. 06 and 07 where the only ones that had the single upper bezel.
Thanks for the feedback we have updated the video.
I have CDs stuck in mines how can I get them out
Safest way is to take it to a local repair shop.
or should I just replace the radio with one that has an aux input
