Well another step closer, you two are the great together. The devotion to your projects as well as each other is obvious. I am at a loss when I don't get to see your videos..... Please keep them coming, I can't wait to see Odd on the water!
Can’t believe how well it’s going and looking, you are doing a brilliant job and it was nicer to have a bit longer video. Look forward to your videos each week.
You took on a job outside your comfort level. You are better now than you were last week as a result. You both are determined individuals. Good for you!
Your boat project is coming along beautifully! All your hard work is paying off. It is a pleasure to watch the two of you working closely as a team. Duca you are a lucky man to a have a woman like Roberta by your side! God bless!
So proud of you two! The detail you give to every project assures a solid Sailing Vessel! Odd Life should be tight as a drum with no leaks! Loved this episode!
You are a joy to experience and your windship is coming together in so many good ways with your inspired efforts. Roberta's expressions are priceless. 'Such a wonderful couple you make.
I know the anxious feeling of doing this for the first time ! The trick is to not put too much sealant. I always keep my gloves on when removing the tape and keep a cardboard box to drop in the smeared tape. Otherwise, gear job ! PS I simply LOVE you two kids ! And your great videos !! ❤️ Hugs from freezing cold Montréal, Canada.
I agree longer videos are good, great, awesome, terrific, fantastic!! Great Job you two!! Keep up the hard work and you will get to splash time!! I love you time lapse clips!! Flat head screws! I despise FLAT HEAD screws! Phillips, Torx, Allan, Square drive, anything but flat head screws. LOL Great time laps, great longer video, Excellent Channel!!
GREAT Job !!! Week after week your beautiful yacht is approaching the moment of the great day of its launch ... That day will be a milestone in your lives for you and will be a cause for a big joy, happiness and a great pride in all your good work done ! And we're all stuck in it to celebrate with you !!!
🎉🎉🎊🎊Congratulations! A difficult and fussy job done! One step closer! It is wonderful that you both can do these jobs and keep your smiles and humor! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You are a wonderful couple and exceptional people, anyone would be proud to have you as family. Your willingness to perform hard work to realize your dreams is encouraging in today’s times. I look forward to all of your videos and hope to see many in the years to come. My very best to you both... Joe
Amen Duca and Roberta!!! I enjoyed all your boat videos!!! I liked the Rockabilly tunes alot today!!! Congratulations on your new port lights!!! The Bible says, A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance and doeth good like a medicine and he that winneth souls is wise.
Hi Roberta and Duca, Every Monday I enjoy watching your video. I think you are two wonderful people and after a long day at work I am happy again with your enthusiasm and cheerfulness. Super fun as you bring everything with a big smile on your face. Hopefully the boat will get along pretty well and can get into the water quickly so that you can finally enjoy it after all that much work. Hopefully there will be many more videos. Greetings, Ramon Mol from the Netherlands
I absolutely love watching your videos. You to work so well together and I'm so proud of what you learned. You guys are excellent partners. Keep up the good work and cling close to each other. John
When Duca said “one day we will see some nice blue water out here” that made me excited and its not even my boat 😂, Can only imagine how excited you both must be lol x
Hey kids, that was indeed worth waiting for. What a monstrous job That was, but it came out just great. As always, you work so well together and always take time for a high five or a kiss! I love how the deck looks with the new paint. Your few months on the boat project has really taken you so much more time but it will be worth it soon!
VERY NICELY DONE! It is easy to take for granted how easy it is to do some jobs unless you have never done them before! you two work so well together! ps. you sir am a very lucky guy!
Thanks for bringing back some nervous memories I experienced when installing windows in a Cataraman I built many years ago, good job well done another one ticked of the list. Terry from down under
Hey Terry , I’m on the west coast down under ! I’m a fabricator by trade and want to build my own catamaran from Aluminium , any advise on where I could get some plans ? Cheers Don
Donnavan Wright Gday Don, I built a Jarcat design in marine ply and also worked for Seawind Cataramans which were fibreglass construction. You are in a unique situation to be able to build in aluminium, I envy your skill, an aluminium cat would be strong robust and light. I unfortunately can’t recommend any designers for aluminium construction but I’m sure if you google a bit you will be rewarded with results. Good luck Cheers mate Terry
Hello, Donnavan. There is a guy from France that we follow that has been building one. His name is: matthieu marion. He has some pictures on Facebook of his building
Thanks you Roberta , Duca and Terry for you responses 😁 I found Matthieu , when you arrive in Australia or Bali please let me know , hopefully I would have started my boat by then ! Good luck Terry
Listening to your fast-forward/time lapse music selection, while watching your busy hands get the job done in your videos, is very nice. Don't be too nervous, you seem to be doing great work! Stay busy and the time will go by faster and you'll be done before you know it.
For future reference, there is a plastic scrapper used for cleaning pots and pans where the side meets the bottom. I have used these to smooth out caulking when doing the edges between the bath tub and the surround. Works a treat and they don't cost an arm and a leg! Your boat sure looks nice. Have fun!
Those windows looked very hard to do. Now it's another step done. I like because you two take time to make sure everything is right. Take care and thanks for sharing.
Great job I like the way you are always smiling and are so happy doing things together. You bring so much joy .God bless. From Albert Cape Town South Africa.
Great work Duca and Roberta! _Odd_ is looking better and better, both inside and out. After some of the really tough jobs you've already tackled, it's so interesting that y'all were so anxious about applying Sikaflex.
Take a look at Butyl Seal Tape for sealing just about anything on your boat. It will maintain a seal so much better than anything else and so much easier to use.
Congratulations 150k subs . You both deserve praise in the way you talk to your audience and attention to detail. This chanel is so warm and inviting ,and down to earth approach coupled with you both is the perfect mix for success .Keep doing what you doing because 500k subs is just around the corner.
Love the videos. I just found your site two days ago and binge watched all boat videos in one sitting. You might have saved your self's much trouble in the dry-fit at 7:40 by placing the screws through the stainless steel backing plant, then installing the lens and gasket over them. Then install the whole assembly as one piece. Keep up the beautiful work.
Assisto a dezenas de canais de vela, voces são o meu preferido, sigam nesta “vibe”. Acho que a edição também ajuda, partes rapidas para contextualizar sem ficar massante... show de bola 💪🤝👊.
That music was perfect for the suspenseful installation. I was holding my breath. Good job on a critical install. You two are so much fun to watch. Soon you will be able to splash her and then to untie the lines.
Hi Roberta and Duca, great videos so much job and joy as well. Today my kids went for a walk with the dogs and saw you driving your red car then I asked them are you sure? Mariana said yes because of Duca's hair. I think you should know this for a good laugh. All the best dear couple Fernanda and family.
We saw them!!!! It's true!!!! Probably we saw each other in a different moment because they were not looking at us when we saw them!! I was gonna send you a message telling you that we have seen them. hehehe. Have a great week, guys!! Glad they recognized us and our red car.
I am really impressed by the progress you have made, transforming an old beached wreck to a presentable sea worthy vessel. Cudos!! How much more time do you think you will need before sailing off into the sunset?
East coast USA. Have been watching from the start. Vids are so much better now!👍 The both of you are improving every week and your 3 month boat project??? ☺ Is coming along perfect!!! Heads up! When the boat gets out into the open water, the wind will mess up your aduio! Start thinking about that now!!! 👍👍👍
You guys are so much fun to watch. Your great attitudes are infectious, keep up the great work. We know it's not all rainbows and lollipops but you are doing great work thanks for sharing.
A tip from an Aquarium builder - Cut a 30-40 degree angle on the end of the nozzle. Position the cut end facing down into the gap and move the gun along as you squeeze the trigger. This will help to force the sealer into the gap and leave you with a much easier cleaning job, and you will save a lot of sealer. You're doing a fantastic job!
Of all the channels I watch, all of them have , at one time ,had to replace their hatches or windows (portlights) So, you have done a good job , BEFORE you go to sea and find they leak
It's good to see Roberta, she definitely is a "Star" & makes these videos so pleasant to watch having done many of the work myself that Luca is doing. 👩🔧 👨🔧
I remember when my family and I went sailing for the first time. Looking out of the port holes like you said you like to do. We saw the waters for the first time and the black clouds. More black clouds than the waters. We was in a force 8, first and last time my missus came with me. 👍👍👍
Odd Life Crafting actually it started off as a 3 to 4 and the forecast said 4 to 5 imminent. But we was on route the day before which was fine, there was no shelter along the way. Anyway I lived to tell the tale and to my grandkids lol.
You guys are working hard and making great progress. A pointer on masking with the tape. If you always make sure your overlaps are in the same direction you can strip the tape all at the same time. Only have to pick the edge once and it automatically keeps lifting up the next piece of tape. Saves a lot of mess and time.

Congratulations on reaching 150K subs. Your "do it right the first time" approach has paid off. Those portlights shouldn't leak. Every job completed is one step closer to being on the water.
We really don't know. The other day we were asking ourselves how many masking tapes we have used already, we don't know the answer yet. We need to check our sheet of costs that contains some details. hehe
Do not redo the 1st one, it is fine. You two won't even notice it's imperfect soon. I think you will regret redoing it, breaking the seal, and maybe making a bigger mess.
Oh to be young again. As someone who was a window glazier all his life, someone who installs glass and acrylic, I can tell you when you go to work the caulk, or in this case sikaflex, in, more is better. It may look like too much, but better too much than not enough and run the risk of having gaps. It looks like you did a wonderful job. Take care and God Bless from Florida.
Thanks, RJ. The length of the videos depends on the content we have for each week, sometimes we are able to have bigger ones, sometimes less is more. 😉
You've done a beautiful job. It's hard to put all of this together, but you are doing such a great job. When you are finished, you're going to have a beautiful boat that will take you anywhere!
Boat looks beautiful. You guys are doing an awesome job - never, ever thought I'd be watching a UA-cam video series on restoring a boat, but your videos are awesome, so I just keep watching. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Was mad at end of port light testing but then you made it good. Was afraid you were not going to kiss Roberta. So glad you did. More hugs and kisses makes the work go better! Boat really starting to get closer to finish look. Keep working the pay off is so good in the end. Hugs from Canada.
Olá Duca e Roberta !!! Bacana ver o Odd tomando forma de barco novo. Cada detalhe vcs dedicam um carinho que só quem é apaixonado por vela entende. Excelente semana e até o próximo vídeo. Abraços !!!
You guys come a long long way fast with this project, bravo , you deserve a huge hug and a lovely Christmas break, the work is done with love... Always a top class finish ...
The boat is looking beautiful. I really like your attention to detail. It may take longer, but the finished product will be of quality workmanship. Great job guys!
Great job guys it's nice to be able to see through the portlights. That really is a messy job, I think one of the worst problems is remembering NOT to put any old tape covered in sealer down on the nicely painted surface during the clear up. I saw some rather black looking fingers there, how long did it take to clean them up...I used to fit car windscreens and the bonding sealer for that would not come off for days! I love the way you two react to each other...lots of love there! One step closer...keep up the good work.
Been watching for some time now - as always, you two inspire any lone maker that he/she can tackle anything as long as you are methodical about it. You are "Divide and Conquer" personified...Thanks for the videos :)
I have to say the time, patients, and detailed to this boat has got to be the best I have ever seen of any couple on UA-cam. LOVE with all capital letters is what has went into this boat between the two of you and it is something that you of you will always have in memory when one gets older. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from USA , Melbourne, Florida. 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🎄🎄🎄
I'm building an all-aluminum camper and looking at ways to install port-holes of Lexan so thanks for the instruction. Also, good job on your English you guys. I had no trouble understanding what you said. Most of the time, that's not the case. Keep on what you do in that loving way you are, it's a good example for the rest of the world!
Roberta, there was a moment just as you were rolling up the sealing, you looked adorably perplexed or worried as you looked at the camera. My heart went out to you. So many little projects-each one buying you a few nautical miles toward Tahiti.
It was priceless seeing your faces before installing the first one its something I also do,check once think I will check it again just to be sure get ready to install....errr think I might just run through it again just to be realy sure, but it did realy look good well done.
the way you two look at each other is just so sweet
😍⛵
I agree, it is so sweet how Roberta smiles when she looks at Duca. You can see they are very much in love.
loud fast they are amazing 😍👍
Yup couldn't agree more.
Its true! That Is so sweet.

Seattle here too, Fred. Cheers! Do come for a visit Odd Life, would love to show you around.
We went to Miami year ago and it was quite chilli in some days
That would be great
Good for you figuring it all out. It’s never bad to ask for help to get started...and then running with it yourselves! Good job! -Rebecca

6:35 Girl With A Pearl Earring painting by Vermeer is Roberta's historical doppelganger.
😂 Thanks for the comparison
so sorry but nope Roberta is far, far more beautiful
@@terryegan3831 I agree

Perfect music selection for Duca installing the portal window.

💕 Thanks, Bob. Every day we are closer to the big moment 😍
Smart move getting the advice on how to do it. The port lights look great. That’s not going to leak. 👍🇺🇸
😍⛵️
OOOO Sikaflex....horrible stuff! I'm surprised you didn't use Butyl tape, much easier to use & whitish too! great vid.
We actually don't find it easy to buy here in Brazil

Exactly hehehe it’s terrible to have hatches/portlights that you can’t see through and even worse that also leak. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Englishman inFrance all hatches are leaking... so true 👍😄
(Me too.!!)
the work is hard duca but the fact that you sharing the load with your sweetheart makes it all worth wild

Better that it is sealed then perfectly pretty.. looks good from my house 🙃

Did you consider using butyl tape instead of psycaflex? It's so much easier to work with and allows for easy removal if you have to in the future.
Nop. We actually like sikaflex and butyl tape is not commom to use here in Brazil, it's not easy to find it to buy
Wonderful Job

A+ editing and content.

Congratulations on reaching 150K subs. Your "do it right the first time" approach has paid off. Those portlights shouldn't leak. Every job completed is one step closer to being on the water.
Thanks a lot! YEY! We are closer to go to the water!
You should invest in a battery operated screwdriver. 😉
We do have one. But these screws have flat head
Odd Life Crafting : I was going to tell Johnny that they are flathead and you can’t use screwgun but you beat me to it. 👍
👍 I was quicker than you. hehehe. Thanks for the explanation
There are bits for different screws ..😉😬
Yes there different bits so go ahead and see how fun it is
You guys are the most inspiring couple I have ever seen. Thanks.
💕 Thanks a lot, Linda. Glad to hear that
Where would you be without masking tape????
We really don't know. The other day we were asking ourselves how many masking tapes we have used already, we don't know the answer yet. We need to check our sheet of costs that contains some details. hehe
I assume you buy it by the box load in bulk
That s the sponsor you should be looking for 😂 the masking tape
Indeed. 3M is the best
No 😞
So glad you precious young people are back online. I must have checked 10 times for your post of this video. Keep sailing!
💕 Thanks for your support. We are back!!
Do not redo the 1st one, it is fine. You two won't even notice it's imperfect soon. I think you will regret redoing it, breaking the seal, and maybe making a bigger mess.
Thanks for the tip, William. We didn't touch it yet, haha. We might just leave it as it as. It's like a bad tattoo on the skin. hahahaha
Leave it!
😉
😂😂
Nostalgic imperfections, there's a story to share in that odd portlight.
Thanks a lot for the feedback
@@OddLifeCrafting You are very welcome.
Roberta is so fine without her you wouldn’t be half as far
😍👫
On the boat and the house
💕
I wish your videos were longer. They are so nice to watch.
Thanks, RJ. The length of the videos depends on the content we have for each week, sometimes we are able to have bigger ones, sometimes less is more. 😉
Why not remove them and polish the acrylic, it’ll come out as brand new.
It was with a lot of cracks
You've done a beautiful job. It's hard to put all of this together, but you are doing such a great job. When you are finished, you're going to have a beautiful boat that will take you anywhere!
Thanks for the support, Gary. 😍⛵
Do either one of you have the slightest clue of how many feet of tape you've gone through?? Lol! I bet it's a lot!!
Not really. hehehe
@@OddLifeCrafting probably enough to tape the boat if it leaks lol
Lol you could probably make a pretty solid dingy for your boat out of all the tape that's been used so far!!!
😂😂
😂😂
Boat looks beautiful. You guys are doing an awesome job - never, ever thought I'd be watching a UA-cam video series on restoring a boat, but your videos are awesome, so I just keep watching. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
So glad to hear that, Matt. Glad you are part of our journey
Was mad at end of port light testing but then you made it good. Was afraid you were not going to kiss Roberta. So glad you did. More hugs and kisses makes the work go better! Boat really starting to get closer to finish look. Keep working the pay off is so good in the end. Hugs from Canada.
😍⛵
Hehe. Abraços
@@OddLifeCrafting Perdão. meu nome é Marcelo.
Hehe. É o nome do pai do Duca
@@OddLifeCrafting Já ví que é gnt boa ele então !!! Abraços !!!
You guys come a long long way fast with this project, bravo , you deserve a huge hug and a lovely Christmas break, the work is done with love...
Always a top class finish ...
Thanks a lot 🤗👫
Odd Life Crafting the pleasure is mine, I built many boats and ships and I can see your work is good and thorough..
The boat is looking beautiful. I really like your attention to detail. It may take longer, but the finished product will be of quality workmanship. Great job guys!
Thanks a lot, John
Great job guys it's nice to be able to see through the portlights. That really is a messy job, I think one of the worst problems is remembering NOT to put any old tape covered in sealer down on the nicely painted surface during the clear up.
I saw some rather black looking fingers there, how long did it take to clean them up...I used to fit car windscreens and the bonding sealer for that would not come off for days!
I love the way you two react to each other...lots of love there!
One step closer...keep up the good work.
Hello, Dave. Duca had some black Sikaflex on his hands for some days, hehe. It went out by itself in the shower. hehe
Been watching for some time now - as always, you two inspire any lone maker that he/she can tackle anything as long as you are methodical about it. You are "Divide and Conquer" personified...Thanks for the videos :)
Glad to hear that somehow we can inspire you, Sean
I have to say the time, patients, and detailed to this boat has got to be the best I have ever seen of any couple on UA-cam. LOVE with all capital letters is what has went into this boat between the two of you and it is something that you of you will always have in memory when one gets older. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from USA , Melbourne, Florida. 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🎄🎄🎄
Thanks a lot for your kind words and support, Shirley. Have great Holidays!
My week is now complete. Thanks for your video, you guys are great.
Glad to hear that, my friend. Have a great week
Looking great. Really love your videos and always looking for the next one. You all are one great couple.
Thanks a lot, Ausbin
I'm building an all-aluminum camper and looking at ways to install port-holes of Lexan so thanks for the instruction. Also, good job on your English you guys. I had no trouble understanding what you said. Most of the time, that's not the case. Keep on what you do in that loving way you are, it's a good example for the rest of the world!
Thanks a lot for the feedback and support. We are glad we can help you somehow 🤗
Roberta, there was a moment just as you were rolling up the sealing, you looked adorably perplexed or worried as you looked at the camera. My heart went out to you. So many little projects-each one buying you a few nautical miles toward Tahiti.
😬 I was really nervous, Ann. Thanks a lot for your support
It was priceless seeing your faces before installing the first one its something I also do,check once think I will check it again just to be sure get ready to install....errr think I might just run through it again just to be realy sure, but it did realy look good well done.
😂😂😁👫
It's so wonderful to watch how Roberta look at Duca in Love)
😍
I think the word you are looking for is "cleaner environment". I am enjoying the show!
Thanks, David
