It started out today I feel alive and the air has changed I'm not alone, I'm not alone It's taken an age just to Find a way but I made it through I'm not alone, I'm not alone, I'm not alone These are the days, this is the place where I belong Lost in another world, I believe our time will come We shift and we change, I took a long time coming round But I'm standing here, still standing here I await for a breath, I'm coming up for air One look away The lost chance and the plans I've made They come and go, they come and go Took off on the silver years The fault lines and the cracks appear They come and go, they come and go These are the days, this is the place where I belong Lost in another world, I believe our time will come We shift and we change, I took a long time coming round But I'm standing here, still standing here I await for a breath, I'm coming up for air
Great work, Philip. It never seems to amaze me how brilliant each and every piece of your and Radiohead's work is. On a side note, the world really needs more humble and down-to-earth artists like you.
I would say Thom and Jonny have a relatively equal influence on Radiohead's overall sound, and then the 3rd most influence would be Ed O'brien, followed by Phil, and then Colin (sorry Colin). But I've never been in the studio with Radiohead, so maybe Colin has altered Radiohead way more than I realize.
K-leb honestly I would put Colin above Phil... dare I say honestly he’s on par with Ed. Without Colin, Radiohead would not be as good as they are. You need to pay attention to their bass lines man. Colin is probably one of the most under appreciated bassists out there. His bass work is incredible. Just look at the melodic bass lines all over their music.
feroui hamza I saw this a couple years ago. I’m the biggest Radiohead fan. There’s one more from this album, it was actually first. The name is “It will end in tears” this is a good song with a cool video, the other is good but sad, with another artful video. I recommend it if you haven’t found it. I was able to see them live in NYC 2 years ago for the first time since about 1994 when I first wanted to see them. Best wishes bud.
I'm from Indonesia. these days, it's *VERY HARD* to find any *DEEP (DEPTH)* & *unique / authentic* Art / Artworks , that can truly really convey some of human's deepest thoughts, ponderings, value, & meanings. this song & video is one very RARE FEW that should truly be appreciated for that reason .. !
Great news. I ended up here & saw your comment after reading an article about his up-and-coming new album. Sometime in February. I've followed Radiohead since the beginning, and Phil is one of my biggest drumming influences, but I had no idea his solo work was so good. Down the rabbit hole I go.
Great album from a talented member of the best band in the world. I feel like the video is a dream Phil had while writing the song....or a series of them.
Though I love Thom's solo album and Amok, this is way more subtle, and more enjoyable because of it. Makes me think In Rainbows plus Kid A minus the Radiohead signature detail level. I do hope the entire album is just as amazing.
Philip, Hello. I just found out about your solo stuff.... I don't know how it took this look to find out about it. But I'm really glad I did and am buying your record after I hit "Post". Great stuff.
Nothing wrong with that 15 years after the 90s. Most music cycles in 20-30 year periods. His voice would suit 80s style music to be honest. Has a bit of a posh accent and soft voice.
I love Radiohead, I love Thom Yorke, but this is AMAZING!!!! Is wonderful like The eraser or Amok! Good job Selway! I hope one day I can work with you and the other members.
I love radiohead and thom yorke is no doubt one of music best songwriters ever, but in solo stuff I think phil is more interssting than the eraser or amok
2:51 through the pie destruction reminds me so much of LSD (ASAP Rocky song). Similar chords. Maybe same key. I'm pretty sure this song came out first. I love that heavy echo/reverb guitar tone.
So this is the story. There's a mysterious criminal that is responsible for several murders: a woman, known for using boomerangs and drugs to confuse her victims. Nobody can solve this case, so they call for a famous detective that lives in another country and takes a ship to come there. He now works as a detective because in his youth he fought as a soldier and these memories torment him. First he collaborates with a younger detective, but then decides to work on his own. He does lot of researches (including a visit to the sewers), until he finds out the next victim. She's a girl living alone. He warns her by phone, but the killer is faster, and surprises her when she has just baked a cake. She runs away through the forest and she arrives to a waterfall. The killer is about to throw her down, but the detective arrives and saves her, making the killer fall down and helping the girl to go back up.
Hola corazón! Cherry! Buen dia hermosa! Creo yo que tampoco lo estoy ni lo estare verdad cariño? con tu linda amistad y compañia. Asi como lo canta Jhon Lennon en I'm not alone. O, es otro singer? Corrijeme please! Besitos!!!
Really nice song. Love the slightly off kilter synth riff in the verses and the stripped back trip hoppy drums; some lovely subtle guitar too. Pleased to hear Philip sing actual comprehensible words. Hope Thom moves on from the increasingly self-parodying style he's affected over the past few albums. Not sure about the video, mind, doesn't really seem to tie in to the song too well, but maybe a few more watches are in order.
You know your in a good band when your drummer can go solo and write this
+Ell Guy *you're
read it again
When "you are" drummer...?
Two uses guys, one right, one wrong.
You’re. The correct usage of this variant of your would be “You know your band is good”.
One of the reason why Radiohead's members are ultra talented.
It started out today
I feel alive and the air has changed
I'm not alone, I'm not alone
It's taken an age just to
Find a way but I made it through
I'm not alone, I'm not alone, I'm not alone
These are the days, this is the place where I belong
Lost in another world, I believe our time will come
We shift and we change, I took a long time coming round
But I'm standing here, still standing here
I await for a breath, I'm coming up for air
One look away
The lost chance and the plans I've made
They come and go, they come and go
Took off on the silver years
The fault lines and the cracks appear
They come and go, they come and go
These are the days, this is the place where I belong
Lost in another world, I believe our time will come
We shift and we change, I took a long time coming round
But I'm standing here, still standing here
I await for a breath, I'm coming up for air
Great work, Philip. It never seems to amaze me how brilliant each and every piece of your and Radiohead's work is. On a side note, the world really needs more humble and down-to-earth artists like you.
Proof that Radiohead is more than just Thom Yorke. :)
inphanta the reason why his solo project isn't glorius like the band
I would say Thom and Jonny have a relatively equal influence on Radiohead's overall sound, and then the 3rd most influence would be Ed O'brien, followed by Phil, and then Colin (sorry Colin).

K-leb Colin does drum machines! very important in kid A amnesiac and httt!
K-leb honestly I would put Colin above Phil... dare I say honestly he’s on par with Ed. Without Colin, Radiohead would not be as good as they are. You need to pay attention to their bass lines man. @@tylerbakermusic true, but Phil’s drum work on OK Computer honestly makes the album in my opinion
i can't believe this is the first time i'm hearing this

su voz es encantadora y su talento increible la verdad impecable!

Awesome! Dang those Radiohead guys are talented.
I really dig the ambience of this track
Bit nostalgic seeing this now, can't believe it's almost been 10 years. Wonder what Phil is up to these days with his songwriting.
Great news. I ended up here & saw your comment after reading an article about his up-and-coming new album. Sometime in February. I've followed Radiohead since the beginning, and Phil is one of my biggest drumming influences, but I had no idea his solo work was so good. Down the rabbit hole I go.
Keep coming back to this. Beautiful.
This video shows the tricks of the film industry.
Great album from a talented member of the best band in the world. I feel like the video is a dream Phil had while writing the song....or a series of them.

Kriss Kulins Philip has a smoother voice than Thom when going solo but Kid A is one of the best albums of all time in my opinion.
Stunning Phillip💚! I'm not alone🎵
Definately one of my favorite tracks of the year!!
все участники группы Radiohead очень талантливые , боги такого жанра музыки )
Philip,
Hello. I just found out about your solo stuff.... I don't know how it took this look to find out about it. But I'm really glad I did and am buying your record after I hit "Post". Great stuff.
Sounds like a more subtle U2 highlight. Really dig this one.
Great job Philip! It's perfect.
Vamoo' peladooo carajo!

Philip's solo songs sound to me like some of Radiohead's best songs. impressive his multi-talent!!! Greetings from Brazil
Maldito seas!!! Te has ganado toda mi fascinación, respetó admiración!!!
Well...that very well may be, But there's the question, were you using it??
Brilliant song. Brilliant Music Video.
Brilliant.
Amazing video, amazing song!!
Love it.
Genius
It feels 90-ish. Tell me Im Not Alone.
You're not alone ;)
Feels very Massive Attack. And that's not a bad thing. You're not alone.
You’re not alone 🙂

Really creative use of zooms!
Incredible video clip, I 'm astounded. I have to watch it a few more times to get the story though
Fantastic song. Looking forward to the album!
Holy shit! This is so good! I can't believe it I'm discovering Philip's solo work now.

I love radiohead and thom yorke is no doubt one of music best songwriters ever, but in solo stuff I think phil is more interssting than the eraser or amok

The song is awesome, but the concept for the video is pretty cool.
Awesome video. Love film, love music.
2:51 through the pie destruction reminds me so much of LSD (ASAP Rocky song). Similar chords. Maybe same key.
I'm pretty sure this song came out first. I love that heavy echo/reverb guitar tone.
Yes a bit simmilar to the beggining of LSD

Its so amazing to see all the Radiohead parts beeing also Single awesome
Temazo. Podría ser una canción de un álbum de Radiohead sin problemas.
Any music guru out there knows what instrument was used to play the first few notes that goes on as the riff throughout the entire music?
Sounds like a synth.
A synth?
This is damn good, pretty girl at the beginning too!
Really nice song.
