Hey everyone! In today’s video, I'm taking you along on a day in my life here in Kursk, Russia. It’s winter, so you’ll get to see how I’m adjusting to the cold season with some essential supplements to keep up my energy and health. As a medical student and an omnivert, I’m navigating both classes and a little social time while also squeezing in some much-needed solo moments.
God Bless you. From Slovakia

Hey that's my home town! Very nice video and I hope you get to explore more of Russia.
I hope so too 😊, would you recommend some places 🤔
@@OmofasDiary There are several historic towns near Moscow accessible by train like Zvenigorod or Kolomna. Kazan is pretty good if you go east. Karealia and Ruskeala are scenic, that's north of Saint P.

Hello, i am in PIttsburgh, Pennsylvania USA its 44 F which is 7 celsuis, it snows here on and off from late November to March, somtimes April____i use to live in sunny California, USA with perfect weather all year, but it got really really hot in summer sometimes. My parents went to Russia for 1 month on a tour, i want to go some day.
@@susansparanormalpennsylvan81 Hello! It sounds like you've experienced quite the contrast in climates between California and Pittsburgh! Those snowy Pittsburgh winters are definitely a big change from California's warmth. It’s nice to have seasons, though something about that first snow can feel pretty magical. I totally get wanting to visit Russia someday; I bet your parents have some great stories from their time there!
Hopefully, you'll get to make that trip soon!
I miss the beauty of winter season in nizhny Novgorod where i lived for 6 years as a student. Met really awesome people and hope to visit one day.

Hey from Germany 👋, I've just find your channel. I hope you're doing fine. I wonder if you were born in Russia or did you move to it? If you moved, why did you decide to stay in this country?
Hello , I’m Omofa nice to meet you. I moved here temporarily to study, I made my choice by what the university was offering in their program and also the cost of living. I stayed because I plan to finish what I started and I haven’t seen a reason to leave without finishing.

I got some vitamin d
My late husband studied in Russia back in 80-s. Then was the time that we had food stamps. Not too much of choice. We survived mostly on pasta, eggs, rarely had meet. Though we were young and enjoyed life without any complains. For those who have negative and pessimistic attitude no matter where they would live everything will be not right enough. People with this kind of attitude shouldn't come to places that they don't appreciate... Russia have a very rich history, and saying that she loves history she is settling down to watch Law & Order in English... Restaurant choices are the same in most countries - Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian, Middle Eastern and American junk food.
Maybe she should go study to a country with lots of sun and great choice of fruits and vegetables, I don't know like Israel, Spain, France... or just stay in Nigeria, and have enough Vitamin D from the sun.............
"Thank you for sharing your story about your late husband’s experience in Russia-it's always fascinating to hear how things were in earlier times, especially during the food stamp era. It's true that challenges like limited resources often shape resilience and gratitude, especially in youth.
I completely agree with your point about perspective-it truly matters how we choose to see and appreciate where we are. Russia indeed has a rich history, and that's something I’ve grown to value deeply, even while adapting to the unique challenges of living here as a student today.
As for the variety of restaurant choices and lifestyle differences, I think every place has its own rhythm, and for me, it’s all about finding balance and learning as I go. Sometimes it’s fun to unwind with familiar things like a TV show in English it’s a small comfort when you’re far from home.
I love that you mentioned places like Spain and France; they sound amazing for anyone seeking warmth and fresh produce! Nigeria, of course, holds a special place in my heart with its vibrant culture and sunny climate, but being in Russia is part of my journey right now, and I’m embracing it fully and not risking my health. Vitamin D plays a crucial role in overall health, and as a Black woman, it's particularly important to pay attention to Vitamin D levels , as darker skin has more melanin. Melanin, the pigment that gives skin its darker color, naturally filters UV rays, which means Black people may require more sun exposure to produce adequate vitamin D ( which is the main source) . This makes it crucial to get adequate vitamin D through food or supplements. It supports bone health by aiding calcium absorption, reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Vitamin D also strengthens the immune system, promotes heart health, and helps regulate mood, potentially reducing the risk of depression. For black women, ensuring optimal vitamin D levels is vital to counter risks of deficiency, which can lead to fatigue, weakened immunity, and chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.
I was simply trying to spread awareness not complain about not having enough. You clearly don’t know me enough to leave a comment like this.
Thank you for your comment it’s great to connect with others who have such diverse experiences!"💞
All due respect ma’am, I don’t think she has a negative attitude, she’s only talking about her life, experiences and feelings in a country that is the total opposite of hers. If you didn’t get that from the video maybe you should watch again or maybe not. Don’t force your personal experiences and opinions on others and maybe try to see if you can learn something from her. Her life and experiences will be different from yours, that’s the human experience.
Have a wonderful day, love and light 😊🫶🏾
@@The-BlacKnight Thank you, I value your comment. Although, this section is designed for all people to express their opinion or point of view even if it differs from others. That's what they call FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
@@OmofasDiary I'd like to thank you for your response. Yes, you are right. I don't know you, however I express my opinion based on your video, not on you as a person. You can't detect negativity, cause you are inside of the video, you can't detach yourself from it...
Starting from the sun coming out and going down with a big sight shows that you are not satisfied...
Grocery store - again, it demonstrates dissatisfaction... It's winter in Russia, they have basics available.
Hate is a strong word, and you say it about an elevator (negative emotion). BTW, not all building are like this in Russia. This is the one you chose to rent...
Talking about your neighbours - negative emotions...
The bus is an expensive one....
The mentioning of allowance is bringing some emotions up, although you find money to have manicure done... It looks like a professional work. Or is it free? My daughter's friends used to do braids, and get paid, not that much, some kind of reward for time and effort...
You don't like the place you live in...
Restaurants recycle the same thing... (Going out to the restaurants and mentioning that there is not enough allowance...)
I don't want to continue... To my opinion it's enough negativity in one video.
I have a young friend from Nigeria, who also doesn't have his family in the country, but never have heard from him a word of how it's all not the way he would like it to be...
A distant relative from my husband's side is studying in Russia. Yes, unfortunately the country of origin doesn't provide enough money for grown-up students, but he found a part-time job to make sure that he has enough time to learn, and some additional income to support him...
Again, my intention was to respond to your video, not to you as an individuum.
I wish you good luck, good friends that will help you feel happier, to graduate soon, that you could return home and enjoy your life.
@@marinafortuna1927 hello, l am enjoying my life here, I was just stating the differences l've noticed, I might have sounded negative (i didn't know I did), that was not my intention. I get your point to an extent. I love Russia, I'm grateful for what it has done for me and the person it has made me.
It’s winter the sun goes up late and down early ( I’m not used to that and I was saying that) , the grocery store I made before I started I said I’d be answering questions from TikTok ; this is what I was answering, I was asked why i didn’t get vegetables in that store i answered that ( it’s a small store and they obviously won’t have everything but they had somethings and i expressed my reason for not getting vegetables from that store but from other stores that have it , the building I moved out from had a different set up i expressed the difference between that ( I said it without a second thought) from viewing it from your lens I came off as unappreciative . I mentioned the neighbors because I have to time them when they aren’t screaming or playing or fighting because I have to sleep , study and at that time they were arguing and i could hear it , there are different ones and that bus wasn’t the usual one I was used to I was trying to say others should look well before entering so don’t think it’s one price and end up arguing with the driver when it’s another ( I’ve seen that happen) when it’s the price for that particular bus . Again I live in a small city and there aren’t a lot of options as per the Restaurants I started why I don’t visit them .
Thank you for responding and I intend to take your opinion and work on it .
I want to relocate to Russia in 2025, please kindly help me with genuine agent that process your admission , I want to study master degree program in Engineering

This is typical Western propaganda. How the locals will treat you depends on how you behave and what you say. Be open and try to speak Russian - they will appreciate it. And of course there is a percentage of idiots in any country in the world.
