Conrail cool.

Cool! I see what look like two old Bachmann "Coil Coaches" with their covers removed as they were in later life.
You are correct about the Bachmann Coil Coaches as I heavy modified the car using the old Walthers Coil car kit.Thxs for watching the video and for the kind words
@@milepost110models I bought one of those decades ago with the intent of upgrading it. I only got partway on the exterior and then had to leave the hobby in the late 90's. I still have the car. I can do the exterior well enough if I ever get back to it, but I had no idea what the cradles inside looked like. I'm not sure I understand what you did - did you just cannibalize the Walthers kits for the needed parts for the gondolas? Also, how did you address the weight issue? As I recall, the car had a measly little 1 ounce bit of metal glued somewhere in it.
@@whiteknightcat If you get a chance can send me your email address as I can go in depth on what I did to updrade these cars. Also I did take parts from the kits to fit the car as for the weights I would have to send you a email as to what I did .I am working on a car right now and could take phtots for you
Cool video and channel just subscribed
Thxs for the subscribe and for the kind words
superb train, outstanding weathering :)
Thxs for the kind words
Very nice video!! I was so tempted to buy some of those
80s Macs but I have collected a ton of motive power for the
mid 80s so I could still run my
collection of cabooses!! I grew
up next to the former Big 4 Dow line from Anderson Indiana to Elkhart yards
and saw the transition from
NYC to PC then Conrail!!!
Go Big Blue!!!
Thxs Conrail Fanatic for the kind words and watching my video. We live on the Cleveland line from Dpwmtown Cleveland to Pittsburgh so dad has seen most of the Fallen Flags and I remember Penn Central and Erie Lackawanna and rhen Conrail so I seen the MACS and yes they were awesome.
@@milepost110models I subbed to
your channel, as my screen name
says I'm a Conrail Fanatic!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@conrailfan6277 I changed it on my reply so Im sorry about that as I was jist going of your logo Conrailfan6277 so I shortened it up so that is what I used now I know and thanks for the subscribe
@milepost110models Yeah I go by
Conrailfan but I'm Conrail crazy!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The 6277 after my screen name was
the first 8-40CW I saw Conrail run
back in the early 80s on a TV train
heading north towards Elkhart Indiana!!!
Looks awesome man! Very talented modeler. 👍
Thxs for the kind words as I appreicate it
Where is the ex NYC - Penn Central "GSC" car from? Not something you see every day.
Its a old Rail Yard Models Resin Kit from the mid 90's that I built, painted and decaled. Its a very hard kit to find
