Thanks Bill, I used this as my training video on the operation of the Little Buck Loader I just bought for my new X739. I focused on your hand movement to see how to operate the bucket. I hooked mine up yesterday and shoveled snow for practice. The key words are Down is Up. Will be moving dirt and mulch as soon as the Spring arrives. See we live in the same Northeast State. Best Regards
@@Malinois_Whisper If you need a tractor that mows the lawn the X700 series is the way to go. Using the Little Buck, I spread 5 yards of mulch in two hours and 7 yards of loam in less then a day. Did a great job! I always wanted to play with a loader and this has been satisfying.
@@MM-od3vh I hope you’re right I went ahead and bought a used 2018 X738 model at pretty good deal. It came with just 200 hours, a 54”snowblower and 54” deck. After speaking with a couple other 738 owners I’m gonna go with the CTC loader
Seems like our X700 series don't have enough power to really dig into that pile of dirt like a true front loader Tractor... But it works enough to save your back from breaking in 2 lol. Thanks for the video.
Yes, one needs to decide if they need a great mower that can occasionally do some minor front end loading work, or a great front end loader tractor that can occasionally do some mowing. Each has their place. In my case, I need a great mower, and it is useful that I can also sometimes move a bit of dirt as well. Too bad JD discontinued their front end loader for this machine and you can only get one from third party sources. Love your UA-cam work, I watched them all before getting my green machine. The snowblower on this machine is great, too.
@@whodgdon Thanks buddy.. Yeah I agree, it would be nice if JD still offered a loader solution for the X700 series. The CTC and other loaders work fine, but it's always nice to have it from the manufacture. Keep those videos coming.
I read this review of the Little Buck Loader www.hearth.com/talk/threads/little-buck-loader.176944/ when thinking about buying mine - this vid and the review are helpful!
The transaxle is stock. I do have the optional isolation valve that shuts off hydraulics to the mower deck linkage when running the bucket or snowblower.
No, the tractor itself is a stock X738. I added the front end loader attachment on the front and 6 standard JD weights on the back weight bracket. No mods were needed to install the front end loader. I also have the 54" mower deck, and for the winter I have a cab and snowblower attachment.

How’s the Buck working for you? I’m about to buy a used x738 so trying to determine best after market loader.

That was fun to watch. Great job.
Did you upgrade the Transaxle Hydrostatic Pressure Relief Valve
The transaxle is stock. I do have the optional isolation valve that shuts off hydraulics to the mower deck linkage when running the bucket or snowblower.
Where did you get the teeth bar for the bucket?
I got the teeth bar from Bxpanded. Works great digging and stiffens/strengthens the bucket lip. Web site is: www.bxpanded.com/
Any mods to the tractor ?
