Todrick is a genius in his music composition
I love how creative Todrick is! All of the songs, Scott, Avi, and Mitch being the Lollipop Gang, Todrick being Todrick.. It was all amazing, weird, but most of all, fun. We all need a bit of fun in our lives.
The dog in the beginning is actually Todrick's dog, and he is named, appropriately, Toto.
I love that doggie! Toto fits him just fine!
Love this video and your reaction. First, the dog's name was Toto and he is Todrick's real life dog. Todrick was a few years ahead of Scott, Kirsty and Mitch in high school but they all went to the same school. Todrick's favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz and this was his project from the heart and asked PTX to participate, which they readily agreed to do it with him. Love the end when 1) there is the tribute to the original movie Judy Garland, and 2) you see that the lion has his courage medal, the scarecrow has his certificate and the tin man has his heart in his hand. Love it. Could watch this many many times and still wouldn't' get tired of it. Thanks! Love from Canada

Not only talent but class. Paying tribute to the film at the end was adding perfection on top of perfection. I’m never going to be able to watch the lollipop guild again without seeing Scott, Mitch and Avi.🤣🤣🤣
Pentatonix ability to put themselves out there and into any role comfortably is an amazing bonus to their beautiful harmonies and transitions.
Todrick Hall is actuall a very big Wizard of Oz fan, that is his dog, and it's name is actually Toto, from the movie. This was so good.

We all know PTX are pure genius, but so is Toddrick. I think it’s funny I only knew Toddrick from Colleen/Miranda’s channels and then they were in Broadway together. I have so much respect for Toddrick’s creative genius and talent.
Todrick is amazing. He was on Broadway in Kinky Boots and did choreo for Taylor Swift and Beyonce. He grew up in the same area as the Trio and knew them from community theater.
He said Kirstin is one of his few friends he hadn't dress up as Dorothy so this was his chance.
Toto! This was amazing! Todrick Hall actually put this together, the concept, and PTX helped to make it come to life! Todrick is an amazing performer as well. Todrick collabed with Superfruit and Kirstin in a bop called Black and White. Might want to add that one to your list too! They did another video with todrick... black and white. Todrick is a sing writer., director, choreographer xss and dancer who has studied ballet since he was a child. He has also been in several broadway shows
Since I figure you are about my age, certain movies were played on TV every year (this was pre-cable). " The Wizard of Oz," "The Ten Commandments,," "The Sound of Music," and a few others. It was almost an event in our house.

Kirsty, Mitch, and Scott were in high school together. Todrick went to the same HS, but was older.
Todrick is so underrated. He is obsessed with the Wizard of Oz. Check out the official video of Podrick Hall low featuring rupaul. He also has an hour-long music video telling the story of The Wizard of Oz called Straight Outta Oz. That's where you will find the black and white video people are talking about. Patrick actually went to high school with Mitch Scott and kirsty. As I understand it he was a little ahead of them. Todrick has a whole series of videos titled
"4 the ..." I first became aware of him when he did one for Beyoncé. It was all of the songs Beyoncé had released up into that date. He also has one for lady gaga. One for the '90s one for the 2000s and one for 2000s R&B. His most commercial success is nails hair hips heels. Todrick is a genius at parodies. His Beauty and the Beast and Beauty and the boots are works of art. He has his version of Gangnam Style which I think is called ghetto Style. He has one twerking in the rain based off of singing in the rain. You might not want to react to that on your Channel because there's a awful awful awful lot of twerking. Todrick has a thing for twerking. I could go on but it is a rabbit hole well worth the trip

Toddrick Hall is from the same town as PTX's Trio & he's just a few years older, so they knew each other from community theater & kept in touch as they all started their journeys into showbiz. He's a talented songwriter & performer too, with his focus on Broadway shows. However you don't have to be into Broadway to enjoy a lot of his music. Some is serious, some funny, some sassy, some all 3. The Trio also feature in 1 of his original songs, Black & White, which is 1 of his songs on his visual album called Straight Outta Oz. (a 1 hr autobiographical album where every song is a video & the videos are linked by his narration to tell his life story to then, it features other singers as well as him) (As you can guess, he loves Wizard of Oz.😂) PS - I don't mean to make it sound like you have to listen to the whole album with the narration. You can enjoy each video separately to just enjoy the song instead of watching the whole album. It just adds another layer to them to know what the song's inspiration was & get his backstory.

When I saw this video for the first time I about lost it when I saw Scott, Avi and Mitch as Munchkins. Todrick Hall is a genius for putting this all together. The songs were perfect for the story of The Wizard of Oz..

I had the same reaction you did when I first saw this. Watching along with you was a treat! Ridiculously talented is a great way to describe PTX. Kirstie really showed her range as the lead in this one. But, as usual, they all shine. And the costumes!!!

you really have to go back and listen to the songs and recognize the genius that is todrick hall and his writing and putting those songs in those places! and you have to hear the lion say im just a 'lion on the cold hard ground' a lot of reactors miss that and its sad!

He went to school with Mitch, Scott, and Kirsty and since has had a very successful career on Broadway. He is in more videos with those 3 members. Check out Black and While. Toddrick also has some great solo stuff too.

Todrick Hall is pretty amazing himself. He was a contestant on American Idol, and has created some unique and very cool stuff. Check him out. Warning: some if his music is a little racy. Lol.
Dog is named Toto - both in the original and here, because Toddrick is a huge fan of Wizard of Oz, and he named his dog that. They are indeed the masters of transitions. I don't know if anyone has yet mentioned Ben Bram to you. He is the "sixth member" of PTX, a brilliant arranger who has worked with them since the beginning. Toddrick has been doing a lot of commercial work with big corporations recently - I've seen his name pop up on social media.

Home free has a few mash-ups but my favorites are the "butts remix" medley and the " country fried pop" medley. Both a worth taking the time for. I love both groups so much. I'm just glad I don't have to choose.
