I noticed that american makeup trends are more sharp organized and clean and Japanese makeup is very childish not much brushes bit blurry and kinda messy but in a weird way I really like it because it just seems so simple so fun and expressive. A lot of the American trends over here of countouring seems to be the only thing I keep seeing making a lot of women have the same type of face. Both styles are nice ,but I like this unorganized messy expressive type of makeup any day.
+wolfbitxNimzaj My thoughts exactly! To be honest I love this kind of application. It's so 'free' and I like this kind of playfulness with make up; no need to take it seriously :) Pretty much in all cases they end up cute :)
haha I get what you mean. I like both too and kind of do my makeup with a mixture of the two. 😊
yea! american makeup make you look very old, and they focus too much on contouring that it looks like they peeled off a doll's face and stick it on themself. I dont know if they're aiming for the sexy mature look or what, but sexiness and mature is from your aura and your own intellect.
As from what I have observed from the comments, lots of westerners are like "wtf why is it so uneven, why is her teeth so crooked and etc etc"
If you have bothered to learn about the culture you would know that the Japanese culture has a thing called "Wabisabi" which appreciates the imperfection in things. Take a cracked pot from the ancient times, then the cracks are laced with gold. Not to say that we should be lazy but, perfection is simply something that is unattainable and honestly it restricts the creative direction we can go to.

+Sombrenymph sorry but who tells you that she does not wash her teeth? Do you know that each human being has their own teeth colour? Some people unfortunately born with yellowish tone of teeth, even if they have a perfect hygene of their mouth it just can help a bit but not change completely their natural colour
Something I appreciate so much about Japanese beauty you see its accepting imperfections and finding them cute and pretty. Like the crooked teeth a lot of Japanese people rock the hell out of it. I adore their crazy elborate messy expressive styles. Heck I admire it really.

歯並び直すともっと可愛いんだろうなっていう目で見てるから可愛いと思うんだろうけど、実際前歯引っ込ませると法令線とかもっと目立つようになるし伸び代も見当たらなくなるから歯並び直したからといって可愛くなる顔ではないな。

Those complaint about her teeth.. It's a Japanese trend called yeaba "double tooth" its seen as cute and youthful. Some go permanently capping the upper teeth to obtain that vampire like crooked upper tooth look and some temporarily do. If you have somewhat crooked teeth you will probably get compliment on them for being adorable. It's a just a trend in Japan. Some trends In other Asia places have fake braces because apparently you are rich with braces and "can afford it".. Here in murica we all about straight teeth and pearly whites ever think it might be weird for ppl outside our country and think we are strange for having shiny glowy pearly white straight teeth..

and pink...very cute and I love how it all pops out. though it looks a little more complicated than it looks because at the same time you have to measure how much shading of pink, white, and purple to make it pop out.

I'm not a fan of pink but I'm also not a fan of contouring. Both contouring and the pink she used looks beautiful. But out of every japanese make-up I've seen in youtube I love this one the best, her eyes look bigger but not like a porcelain doll. Every japanese make-up trend looks beautiful but the doll eyes in my opinion should be kept for a special occasion.

This makeup is great and all, but she needs to work on the wing of her line. It's so crooked and deformed looking. Aside from that, it would have been a great makeup tutorial, but the wing is sort of something that makes or breaks a look. I don't know if anyone else agrees with me or not. Every makeup tutorial I see from Marin Matsuzaki seems to have the same problem with a non clean cut wing.
