தமிழ் திரை இசையை அடுத்த கட்டத்திற்கு இட்டுச்சென்றது MSV என்பது யாவரும் அறிந்ததே. ஆனால் அவ்வாறு மேற்கத்திய இசையிலோ, நாட்டுப்புற இசையிலோ innovate செய்த போது தமிழின் தொன்மையை கெடாதவாறு பாதுகாத்தார்.அஃது fusion music ஆக இருந்தாலும், இசைக்கருவிகள் வட்டத்தை விட்டு அவ்வப்போது சென்றாலும் மொழியின் உச்சரிப்பை, சொல் வளத்தை தமிழிசையின் பாரம்பரிய வட்டத்துக்குள் அரண் போல் பாதுகாத்தார். Subha mam சொன்ன "பண்பாடு" என்ற சொல்லை MSV கையாண்ட விதத்தில் அது புரியும். 👌👌👌ஆனால் 1976 க்குப்பின் புதுமை என்ற பேரில் தமிழிசையின் வட்டம் போன்ற அரண் காணாமல் போய்விட்டது. MSV காலத்தோடு தொண்மை தமிழின் இலக்கிய, இசை மரபுகள் திரை இசையில் காற்றில் கரைந்து விட்டது.

Firstly, Super Singer Sai, சொல்ல வார்த்தையே இல்லை. Very proud of you and the entire team for this song. A total package given by the one and only MSV and his team. Mellisai Mannar , whenever given the freedom , has given wonderful orchestration with many western instruments extensively applied. I would say that he was instrumental in introducing several western instruments to tamil cinema music. A vast majority of MSV compositions were set for a given situation & consequently, the tune, the orchestration was all totally focused on how to give the optimum output for that slot wherein the song will get fitted. But, this trend was also good that we could get more meaningful songs / splendid lyrics. On many occasions, MSV has sparkled like a true champion displaying his class for some unique songs. A simple example lies in the technical nuances such as: using the drums when Nadigar thilagam sings and the use of Urumi melam for Jayalalitha reflecting the reversal of their personalities/roles played in the movie. Bharatwaj Rangan called this song as a “mad song”, in which the Indian part is scored with Western instruments and vice versa. By “mad,” he meant mean out-of-the-box - then again, with MSV, there was no box at all to begin with. I must also say something about LR Easwari. We spend lots of time talking about P Suseela and others but rarely spend time recognizing the versatility of LR Easwari for example. I was listening to Malarakku Thendral yesterday from Enga Veetu Pillai and now this song, what a range of talents and versatility of one of my favorite singers LR Easwari. Of course, my favorite of all time, அம்மம்மா கேளடி தோழி from Karuppu Panam. She was totally unique. Again, awesome effort by the team. சாய், இது வேற லெவல். Enjoyed listening. To everyone, வாழ்க வளமுடன்.
Finally, this is yet another classic example of Nadigar Thilagam, which hardcore MGR fans like myself, never failed to appreciate. இவனைப் போல ஒரு நடிகன் பிறந்ததும் இல்லை, பிறக்கப் போவதுமில்லை.
அதுக்குள்ளால இவ்வளவு மெசேஜ் எப்படி டைப் பண்ணினீங்க.

Loved Srinidhi's attitude. That is what is needed for this song. I could see Sai Vignesh's fun mindset come out as well. Great composition , great music - just thrilled me.
