Someone who knows that disabling suit broadcast antenna will also preserve suit energy. Given the HydroPack also uses energy when firing up, inertia cruising saves energy aswell
I've actually wondered if it was possible to progress when starting like this. People usually use the spawn in just spacesuit option for multiplayer when joining a faction. Very resourceful
For along time starting like this wasn't possible and on the early versions of the you could even essentially softlock your game if your production blocks ran out of power and you didn't have the components to built a powers source. Now that there are those unknown signals you can really get out of a tight situations😁
@@MjuMeli very true. It might also be possible to buy tools from the stations, so long as economy is enabled. I think we start out with credits right off the bat, and you could always find more space bucks in the beds of stations. I'll have to try this method for funsies
@@c.jandrews304 Yeah I believe you have 10 000 space credits when you start and you can do the contracts on stations to earn more. Have fun playing mate!
Lol, it never occurred to me to try to simply create Nightmare Mode starts in SE. I definitely won't try this with my friend who just started playing it, lol.
You want a hard start then add some of the nastier NPC mods and use scarce resources mod to make ore harder to get. Set everything on realistic and disable jetpack on planet. Want to up the game more then add Aww Scrap mod to make salvage much harder along with long range high damage weapon mods and add Lucas's NPC upgrade mod so the NPC ship can stone age you if you aren't cowering under a rock. Finally to add the cherry on top add one of the mods for food, drink, and sleep survival mods. That start should at the very least make your hair turn grey fast if not having you rip all of it out. Happen to need recommendations on the NPC mods i can give plenty as i play with about every one of them. GL and cheers.
@@MjuMeli Splitsie got me into SE, learned to play from his tutorial videos. However watching W4stedspace and his crew in unco-op survival showed me how fun NPC's with overpowered weapons at war with each other and ready to murder you from 8-10km away could be.
That's what I did, after months I now have salvaged 300 metal grid and am ready make flying ships to venture forth from my underground base (with my gravel gats, since no magnesium on a mars start with scarce resources. I did tinker with spawn rates and distances and removed the npc random weapons mod after getting endlessly sniped. There are plenty of npc mods with big scary ships so the random weapons is not necessary.
This guy can't have many hours in the game. It's Space pirates, not Spartans. And you will never get any of the first components required to build any sort of power systems from any of the unknown signals.
5:14 - Someone who knows how to coast instead of holding W all the time against the speed limit. Warms my heart.
Saving hydrogen and having the ability to freely look around. What's not to like :D

@@BotAurelionSol I hadn't noticed that the HydroPack also uses energy. Good to know!

Yeah, maybe not ideal for new players 😁 Glad to hear there are still new player coming in though. Happy mining✌🏻
