      @lindsaymarie1984 I have an air fryer and an oven, but can’t compare to black stone. The oven takes about 30 minutes more than the air fryer to crisp on average. It can honestly be a bit annoying to cook in an air fryer with certain frozen products, bc I notice it cooks to similar to the temp time of a stove for my frozen products.

Mine is a ninja that also folds up and away for more counter space. My parents have a bigger ninja model which has 2 tiers so they can cook even more at once. It's great for everything, especially anything frozen you want to get crispy quickly and without extra oil. However if you do spray food with some extra oil they come out even better and still much less added oil than deep fried.

    • @toryannasJMW
      @toryannasJMW Рік тому +28

      @@cassidylopez671seasoning before using a blacktop, cast iron or grill will help but true seasoning comes with time and use. Typically when you season a new item you heat it up to about 500 degrees and allow oil to permeate the surface. Most people prefer to use lard or animal fat. Hope that helps.

    Great video, only one problem. You didnt fully smash the burgers, they should only be between 3-5oz patties, and caramelize the onions on the side, not underneath the unsmashed patties. When smashing the patties, you shoud use alot of pressure, making the patties paper thin, and the blackstone should be on the highest it can go, making the edges crispy. You want the patties to be dry and crispy. Giving the burger a great flavor.

I also struggle with new cooking utensils, stoves n what not unlike my mother who could handle n adjust any new thing n environment. You did very well still. The burgers still look yummy. A tip for making smash burgers, use less meat and push really really hard it’s easier to get a proper smash. They are ment to be thin and crispy but if you can’t get it really thin (almost with holes in them that’s how thin) you are just squeezing the juice out of it and having a normal burger that is now dry. Keep it up though you will get it 👍

    Also I’ve seen your other videos and you’ve gotten so much better. I’m 38 but starting working at a restaurant using a flattop at the age of 12. Best thing, lots of butter, breakfast food works the best, meat, and buttered bread. Yet I’m sure you know that. Also you can make pasta on it. Pre cook it then dump it on with butter and the cheese/toppings and mix together. Again you probably know that since you’ve gotten better. Never give up lady. 🙂
