Way too early to give up on him right now. Give him another season or two to develop and prove himself. Mark my words, should they trade away Bobby right now, he will join the likes of Pedro Martinez and Nathan Eovladi as young, promising starting pitchers whom the Dodgers gave up too early on in their careers.
It's wild how baseball can be such a fickle sport. Here's hoping that Bobby Miller and James Outman can figure things out and return to their stellar form in 2025!!
@@bradleymacdonald6036 Outman is still with Dodgers. You might be thinking of Miguel Vargas who was traded from Dodgers to White Sox during the 2024 season.
Outman has no place on the Dodgers. He’s a AAAA player at best. He still isn’t disciplined with the K-zone. Even in his “successful” rookie campaign where he finished 3rd in the ROY, he struck out nearly 1/3rd of the time. Andy Pages has passed him on the depth chart and if/when Teoscar re-signs, he’ll be even more expendable. Also, the Dodger signed Michael Conforto and have also been moving their best prospect, Dalton a rushing between catcher and left field in order to expedite his offense to the major leagues.
He frustrates me and I’m a fan of this team since 97 and I’ve seen them go through the highest of highest and the lowest of lows…Chad Billingsley used to do that with me and my dad when we knew he had potential but would implode and only got better as soon as we traded him away…this dude has elite stuff however there’s no point in throwin 100 plus if you give up way too many runs and bombs 😕😕😔😔

The worst season FIP with multiple starts out of those guys named is 4.91 by Randy. In his final year. Miller was at 6.97 last year. Higher than the highest FIP of Maddux, Ryan, and Johnson (being Ryan with just 2 full innings in 66 at a 5.98). Edited cause I mistyped Randy Johnson's FIP
@@idkbro8470 No Im trying to tell you that the all time greats had rough starts so dont be too quick to judge these new pitchers Just a reminder Greg maddux had a 5.61 ERA, 14 losses in 155.1 IP in the season after his rookie year Many good pitchers in the HOF had trouble with command and B. Huge fan of Bobby Miller but I felt his injuries and overall overthinking really fell on his shoulders. He needs a bounce back both him and James Outman. Cause the Dodgers are spending and luckily not even trading, but with underperforming that could easily change.
Bobby’s upside potential is just too high for the Dodgers to give up on him now and trade him away, especially after only one bad season. It’s frustrating because he has all the physical tools to be an elite pitcher - an upper 90s fastball and nasty change up - but it seems his problem is the mental part of the game. Once gives up hit or walk, he seems to lose focus and starts walking batters, which allows the next batter to sit dead red on his fastball. Dodgers need to be patient with him and give him another 2 seasons to prove himself in their rotation, after all he did have a decent rookie season only 2 years ago. He’s only 25 years old. He reminds me of a young Roger Clemens - a big framed power pitcher. If the Dodgers trade him away now, Bobby will join the list of the likes of Pedro Martinez and Nathan Eovaldi as former young Dodger starting pitchers that the they gave up way too early on in their careers.
"And while he did deal with shoulder issues throughout the season, it was nothing truly devastating" I'm sorry what? Bobby Miller was absolutely atrocious when he returned to pitching, but to imply that it was nothing truly devastating is a wild opinion. Obviously there was still issues from whatever injury he had. But Miller kept shrugging it off because he thought he could get past it. Clearly it did not.
It was insanely sad, he was so good and promising in '23. Tons of hope and expectancy for him last year thinking he would be the future dodger ace, annnnnnnnd he hit a wall and crashed and burned.
Bro it’s not that serious lol. People make mistakes. He probably finished recording his voice and when editing only then realized he made a mistake and instead of redoing everything he just did an edit. That’s what editing is for
maybe if he signed my ball during spring training he wouldn't have had such a shitty year🤷♂
He seems a bit of a douche
I’m a Dodger fan. He started off great, but it was so sad seeing Bobby just fall apart. 🫤
Once his girl cheated on him. And he decided to take her back. I won’t be surprised if he ends up like Julio with his anger tantrums on the mound

He was definitely rushed up to the majors due to injuries. He needs more time to develop
Apparently you never saw Tijaun Walker pitch...attempt to pitch last season.
Taijuan Rbi Walker
Or jack leiter
As a Phillies fan, I just wouldn't watch them when Walker would pitch. It was just too hard to watch him give up 3+ runs a game

He has zero deception in his delivery. Doesn't matter how hard you throw when the hitter can see the ball out of your hand so easily

Regardless of what the stats say, Chris Bassitt was the absolute worst starter this year.
Dodgers gave this guy so many chances last season it was rather puzzling. He just got blown up game after game.
Control > stuff
I think the problem is his delivery and his command other than that he should be fine.
dude pitched hurt all season lmfaoooo
