- Hey guys! So as you know I LOVE a braid-out, but I wanted to see a direct comparison between a braid-out and twist-out. Here I show and share my thoughts on the pros and cons of both braid-outs and twist-outs.
Which do you prefer?
For this braid/twist out I used the Camille Rose Coconut Water Collection. Shop here:

Right at the start of the video I knew which side was the braid out and which was the twist out. Im team braid out cos love the elongation
I find doing the braids easier too - so I'm glad I'm not the only one :) ❤
I used to braid my hair all the time, but then I learned how to flat twist, and now it’s like I’ve completely forgotten how to braid! 😂 so I’ll be team twist out 😂
Both sides are beautiful! But it’s funny how I’m the exact opposite, I prefer twist, but I’m trying to do more braids outs.😆💜
Braidout, we have more control for longer period of time, especially if your hair is thick.
Btw you should try a 10 day maintenance video for your twistout and compare it to the previous braidout results 😊
Great idea! I hope she sees your comment
The right side is the braid out and left side is the twist out for sure!
I will forever do a braid out only b/c I have horrible shrinkage 😢
I like both sides on you.
I wanted to let you know, in case you didn’t that Camille Rose has a product similar to the Almond Jai twisting butter that provides more “hold” Aloe Whipped butter gel works similarly but may compare to the “hold” you prefer from the style setter…maybe a future comparison experiment if you can find it in the UK❤️
I love the Aloe Butter Gel!
My Goodness!!! Your videos have so much SUBSTANCE! Thank you so much for making me want to get up & do my hair this morning lol. I love them both on you by the way. I’ve only done twist outs & twaid outs, but I’m thinking of trying a braid out today.
aw thank you so much! Glad you find the videos inspiring!xx
Left twist out
Right braid out
I never tried a braid out but this makes me want to try one. I like the braid out side better.
Love those products too! 😍 the pink Camille Rose ones 😍
Also, I love watching your hands, they’re so pretty
Going to experiment with the braid out . I use the same products , my go too's.... Great Video
Thanks for this super useful video, love it!😊 Just subscribed✔️🤗
I guessed correctly! Your hair looks 😍
Just got yourself a new subscriber girly 🥰
yay! thank you
I love the curl pattern
Love this video😊😊🙌🙌
I guessed it!
Braid out on your right! Looks great!
I Brist-out would give you the best of both worlds…..start with a braid and halfway down, change to a twist. Both sides look great tho! Looking forward to more length so I can do a braid out. A Flat Twist-out would do you well too…..and yes, twists look better in, braids out, lol! Thank you for sharing💚💚💚
Love ur videos my hair is similar to urs ❤ thanks for posting helpful tips
Thanks for watching and your lovely comments !
girllll whereeee have you beeeeen 😩🥺 we misssss youuuuuuuu!
I'll be back soon!!
my favorite is a mini twist (like microloc size) out after ive worn the twists for a few weeks. it kinda looks like a wash n go and it lasts another 3-7 days until i was and restyle. I never mastered a normal braid or twist out. I dont like styles that require restyling at night.
Yassss finally 😆🙌😍 OK so I think your right is the braidout because there's more stretch & your left the twistout because it's more defined 🥰 you look super gorgeous as always btw 😉❤️
Woop woop 🥳 I got it right 😁 probably because my hair looks the same for both styles 😅
Right side is your braid out, looks great by the way!!
Braid out on the left side of the screen and twist out on the right
I like both sides, depends on the season 🙂, I prefer elongation though so braid out. Given my density, braid outs work better.
I was right!
Your right is the braid out. Twist out is your left. Love both results!
I was right. I love a good braid out because I can make it last longer.
HIII COUPD YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO WITH ALL THE PRODUCTS YOU USE AND WHY?? sorry it’s just we have the same hair and I’m struggling😭😭
I guessed correctly!!!!!
I'm torn between the two! I love the pattern of the curl on braid out and the elongation but twist outs seem to last longer in my hair and again the curl definition is great. My braid outs turn into twist outs after a few days so any advice there will be hugely accepted😊. Can you do a flat twist out video please?🙏🏽😊.
Sorry, I just watched the video you did a year ago on flat twist out😊 thank you. But, if you have time to re-visit and do another one, I would love to see it please😊.
Omg girl!!! First off I got it right with the guessing game. Anyways, I loveeee braid outs. I love the elongations it gives and how much easier it is to separate the braids vs twists. I’ve never really mastered a twist out, and I always felt like I looked a lil weird. Team braid out 💯 percent.
We have the exact same hair type so I could tell which was which immediately lol
Braid out
Have you tried a twaid out? Like start doing a braid and then start twisting toward de middle
I do this method.
This sounds made-up.😊
I do this method too, it's the best of both worlds.
I do that to help flatten the roots and I love the look!
Btw both sides are pretty
Right is a braid-out, left is a twist-out 👌🏾
braidout on the my left your right
The right side is the braid out
Hello, my hair is a lot like yours, how do you get the crown to blend and look like the rest of your hair? my front and back curls are looser with lots of curl definition but the crown is so different the curls shape is zigzag and is dryer, help?
omg this is my exact problem. if you get help plz lmk!! i thought i couldn’t fix it lmaooo i was wanting to cut it all off
right braid out left twist out
got it right
I’m guessing twist out on your left and braid out on your right
You and I have the same texture and I agree braid out look more better when you take it out. My twist always look great when I wear it but the next day I wanna take it out it’s not as pretty and I have knots and tangles
I feel like your right side is the braid out and your left side is the twist out, mainly because I’ve had twist outs and I’m familiar with the pattern (at least I think I am 😂)
Left side is twist out.
Left is a braid out right is a twist out it's obvious 😁 let's see if I'm right because I always do twist out or braid out so I can tell the difference
L is twist out. R is braid out
Yaaaay I guessed correctly 🎉
Right side is the braid out and the left side is the twist out
Right is braidout
I knew ittt
Right braid out left twist out cause braids outs are always more elongated and your right side is hanging longer
Left braid out
Right twist out.
Never mind 😅😢
I got it!!!! Lol
Right side is the braid out, left side is the twist out
Right is twist out, left is braid out
Right hand side is Braid out, left side is twist out
left is twistout, right is braidout! you can tell based on the appearance of the curls-the twistout is more “S” shaped and the braidout is more “Z” shaped!!
purr i got it right! :) i prefer twistouts mainly bc twisting is easier for me than braiding, but i also can do bigger twists on my head and get a good balance between volume and definition! also i just prefer the S curl and i find i get more frizz with braidouts :(
Your left hand side is a twist out. Right side is braid out
🤔 I'm curious it's obvious you mix why do mix women always say they're natural Black hair 🤔Why not my natural mix hair 🤔 I'm not mix but I have naturally curly wavy hair
But… genes don’t work that way lol. There’s no such thing as having a specific hair type racially. There’s people who have full black parents and grandparents with looser texture than her. And there’s biracial people who have 4c hair. But in regards to what you’re saying they shouldn’t identify their hair as a race at all just natural hair period
Also, how do you know she’s mixed? Did she ever say she was? What is “obviously mixed?” Being mixed is more than light skin and 3c curls
Left is twist out , right braid out 🙄
