Do you prefer a braid out or a twist out? Here is how I styled my hair using Mielle Organics products.

Do both at one time I do and it always give me insane definition and also add a flexible rod on the end you will turn heads every time!!! Braid the root twist towards the end and add a flexible rod everyone will be stopping and asking you about your hair routine and this also works on old unwashed hair as well as freshly washed hair!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍 You look gorgeous and so does your hair as well!

is it better to use not too much product and to do it on dry or damp hair so it can dry faster and can i use a dryer to help if im in a rush the next day?

I read that braid outs define wavy or zig zag textures and twist outs define "s"and "o" shaped curls. Just a tip for those debating b/w the two.
YES!!!!!!! That must be it. That is what i have been trying to figure out. I watch YT vids and wonder why twistouts do not, NEVER work for me. I look like something the cat dragged out when i do twistouts.

Twist outs work really well for me and I have 4c hair but the thing is, they look so much better after the first day...I’ve never actually tried a braid out

I prefer a twist out all day. Every time I've done a braid out, my hair was so hard to take down and while I had stretch, the it just turned into a frizzy mess.
I combine them. Braid the roots then 3 strand twist the rest of the way down... Wear the twists as a style for a week, then the braid/twist out for a week...
Flat twist outs are pretty good for the stretch and looser curl. They're my go to because I can take them down in school so I don't arrive with frizzy hair (Floridian here 😂 so humidity is CRAZY) and they're quick to do

I know that I'm very late to the party but the braid out looked better and it had more of a defined look.
I love braid our because in my experience, it drys faster and is a no brainier to put in. Although it takes about the same amount of time as twist outs to install but twisting requires a little more thought.
I like twist outs more, only because on my hair I get smoother and more defined curls than with a braid out. And they're quicker for me to do 😂😂😂 xx

Braid outs are my go to. I haven't tried a twist out since I started transitioning 10 months ago and just don't think it will work until I big chop. lol

I like your braid out side best. For me, the twist was better looking. after getting more length the braid out improved, but now neither are doing me right. My hair is trippin. Can't wait for Fall and Winter to settle on in to Texas!

Since there's not that much of a difference, I'm going with the twist outs. It's easier and faster. I need something that saves time.

I like the stretch with the braid out but it is just a bit more time consuming...and the twist out side is less time consuming but the shrinkage is a mofo...I'm kinda stuck between the two

i like both. braid outs do stretch your more. twist outs show my curl definition more and lasts longer for me. plus i can do cute protective styles with twist outs.
i like the braid out better. my hair only comes to the top of my shoulders and this would be great until my hair gets longer for twist out.

They both look great on you! I loved my braid-outs more on me when I was transitioning, but now aesthetic- wise, it doesn't even matter. Huge advantage with the twist-out is the TIME factor! That trumps the shrinkage for me.
Yeah I am transitioning now and my hair I know for sure won't take a twist out but a braid out...mhhmm yes with the correct products

careful with that brush. some have experienced breakage and splits due to it. lovely hair!

I like the braid out more but I stick to a twist outs because...the braidouts take me too much time to install, they take too long to dry, and I have not mastered how to fluff and separate without causing frizz. Girl the twist out is nice and simple!
