    Winder in you would've needed to switch if you started off with the 8gb ram version of the A9+

    Thank you for this review, I opted for the FE+, since I prefer the larger screen, I will be using it for school mostly, since it's easier than carrying a laptop around, and the larger screen is also helpful when multitasking.

    Nice. I just ordered the S9FE to replace my A7. So glad I ordered the S9FE instead of the A9+.

    My A9+ only lived to see 6 days with me. I regret buying the 4gb of ram because like in the video, the lag... it's ridiculous. & I tried being an artist on a budget hoping i could atleast get some form of figure practice in knowing the screen isn't made to support such. Palm rejection gloves don't really work and cause the stylus to skip around when trying to use. I couldn't even properly use a planner (penly). I got fed up and realized i made a mistake. I went ahead and purchased the s9 FE for the s pen & actual note taking. I don't recommend the A9+, unless maybe you avoid the 4gb of ram at all cost, but i heard with the new ui update there's still lag in the 8gb version.

    My A9+ is the 8GB RAM version + 5G, is it really worth upgrading?

    • @HowToDoItTech
      @HowToDoItTech  17 годин тому

      Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to test the 8GB RAM version to make an informed decision. I think in the next generation I'll make a concerted effort to test both versions.

    How long have you had the S9 FE for?
    And how is it holding up with time?

    • @HowToDoItTech
      @HowToDoItTech  6 місяців тому +8

      Only a few weeks now but what I would say is that it does everything I want perfectly. I've just recently upgraded again to the S9 to see if even better specifications make an even bigger difference. So far, the jump from the A9+ to the S9 FE has been more remarkable than the jump from the FE to the S9

      @@HowToDoItTechI made those same exact jumps from those three tablets and I agreed to jump from the A9+ to S9fe was the biggest difference. Ultimately I chose the S9

    Wait so i dont need the 5 g version , i could of got the 8 ram with the 250gb, n just hotspoted, it said wifi, so i thought it didnt come with Bluetooth to attache my controller

    • @HowToDoItTech
      @HowToDoItTech  6 місяців тому

      Yessir. You can use your phone as a hotspot and generally speaking, it's faster to connect over hotspot than Bluetooth when sharing an internet connection. I'd have to verify that but it was the last information I had unless the latest Bluetooth protocols have improved significantly. If you're already using a Samsung phone, you can use use Auto Hotspot too. It automatically connects for you without having to turn on your phone's hotspot after you've already linked your devices. As for the controller, I connect my TH80 Pro keyboard via Bluetooth so I'm assuming your controller will definitely work too. Certainly there's a Bluetooth radio in the S9 FE WiFi.

    Maybe you can answer a question about the A9+ vs S9 FE that I've struggled to find. I need to upgrade my old tablet, and one of the uses is for my Insta360 camera and their app. Unfortunately finding out if the app is compatible is a nightmare. Insta simply say "Snapdragon 600 series" or "Exynos 9810 or above" and Insta's own support don't seem to know if the 1880 is better than the 9810.
    Are you MEGA helpful and able to check if the insta360 app shows in google play on these 2 ? (Or anyone else out there with these models of tablet)

      Hi there. My MIL has currently absconded with the S9 FE but I checked the Play Store and the main criteria is that that the device must support Android7.0 and up. I can tell you that the S9 FE will perform better than the A9+ running any app. The Exynos 1380 is better than the Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695. Plus, if the app is leveraging the GPU, the Mali-G68 MP5 is better than the Adreno 619. Also the S9 FE has more RAM (probably better quality too) than the A9+ which will play a huge part. However, having said all that, video editing on the S9 FE probably won't be seamless so expect a little lag.

    • @stuinNorway
      @stuinNorway 2 місяці тому

      @@HowToDoItTech Thanks, that helps a lot, it really is so helpful when even the app makers don't know what chips it works on.... NOT !
      The editing isn't done live, so I can live with not perfect as it renders afterwards, and only really for when I need it "one the go"..
      Thanks again for the prompt reply.

    So you upgraded from the A9+ 4GB/64GB which is known to have lag and stuttering out the box to the S9 FE 6GB/128GB so this video is OBVIOUSLY heavily biased in favor of the S9 FE.....
    You could have done an honest comparison but that means the A9+ wouldn't look like a bad tablet if you did.

      @HowToDoItTech  3 місяці тому

      Open the Air Command menu by hovering the S Pen over your device's screen, then tap the Air Command icon. 2 The battery level is displayed at the top right-hand side of the screen.

    I thought I was updating from the S6 Lite only to find nothing new and the S9 FE won't even get AI from that standpoint I find the 2024 A9 Plus to be a better option

    thank you so much for at least comparing similar devices.......im getting really tired of all these creators on youtube doing comparisons of devices that couldn't be more different......like comparing an ipad to this s9fe......yes they are both tablets but that's where it ends......

      Glad I could help! I've found that most buyers aren't really interested in swapping between brands but looking for an upgrade or alternative to their existing device... like me :) I used to use iPhone many, many years ago but since switching, I've always been more interested in the next Android phone personally.

      @@HowToDoItTech exynos 1380 better than snapdragon 870?

    • @HowToDoItTech
      @HowToDoItTech  6 місяців тому

      Check out this comparison on this website. It says the Snapdragon 870 edges the 1380 in benchmarks but the Pad 6 looks slightly cheaper depending on where you're buying it. I'd be more interested in real world performance personally and how it feels to use the tech to make the call. The global version of the Pad 6 has more RAM and that will make a difference depending on the speed of the RAM

    What About A9+ with 8 GB RAM?

    • @HowToDoItTech
      @HowToDoItTech  Місяць тому +1

      Unfortunately I don't have the A9+ with more RAM (which is something I would have loved to have compared) but in theory the extra RAM will help a lot with multitasking and running multiple apps without lag.

    • @HowToDoItTech
      @HowToDoItTech  3 місяці тому

      Okay. I didn't have the same issue. There is a known issue in UA-cam where it downgrades the video quality automatically for some reason. I experience this on my S23U. To fix it you have to go to Settings>Video Quality>Preferences and change the setting there in the UA-cam app.

    • @cheekothechiweenie
      @cheekothechiweenie 3 місяці тому

      Yeah I tried that, but still has the issue. It let's me choose 1080 but still looks bad. I bought the s9 fe instead and it's much better
