Although very familiar with Jewish culture, I didn’t know that observant Jewish folks didn’t shake hands. Few years ago I met an observant Jewish person and extended my hand to shake his. When told that he wouldn’t touch my hand and to not get offended, I smiled and said that I understood because in my culture we greet each other with a “namaste” 🙏🏼. I saw him again a few months later and he called out to me saying “Namaste 🙏🏼.” I thought it was so wonderful, thoughtful and respectful!
Now the whole world will see the beauty, the holiness, and intelligence of our incredible Rabbi and Rebbetzin. Through their examples, their teamwork, and their leadership, our Shul overflows with love, guidance, caring, learning, worship, compassion, holiness, kindness, and acceptance. Fantastic video. My sincere thanks and appreciation to you both.
I’m so happy to have heard both of you!! You are a beautiful couple, with a beautiful family and synagogue. I’m so grateful to be a part of your congregation! Arlene Parkin
I am Christian .I also have values ,but I have found your message very, very special! The way you talk, the way you LOVE each other is an example for all the world👍🌏! Thank you very much for sharing! May God bless you very much🙏🙏!!!
I love this so much. You both speak so well. I am a cradle Catholic and though I have never question faith I have struggled with Catholicism. I love to hear your passion and a commitment
I love what they have to say! And the end is the best part. Rabbi, leave ur wife alone 😂!! And she said what she has to say in a subtle loving way!! Anyone can imagine that! Very sweet and very spiritual and very deep!
First time i hear Marriage word in Hebrew is the same as Holly, wow! I am born again Christian and I agree to what you are saying about marriage, that is what I believe. God Bless You 🙏
The way it's supposed to be in your opinion, couldn't be further from what I think marriage is about, we're very equal in mine,I'm not treated just a baby carrier or just as mother,I'm treated as a woman where my opinions and wants are respected.
I love this. My husband and I made the commitment many years ago and we had many problems during our marriage and had to rebuild the marriage many times. We had to fall in love many times. People don’t stay the same and find new parts of each other that we loved. Love is something that happens and you have to grow life a life plant.
that was incredible, thank you Rabbi & Rebbetzin for your Gd given wisdom, and open hearts with sharing golden nuggets with the world. May Hashem bless you and your family ad 120 and see you soon BH in Israel.
Love your view on observance differences vs orthodoxy. We are all different and go through a growing process. But every category always tries to separate us. We are such a small group. Don’t need more division.
All men should have a mind and sense of humanity that this rabbi has. Is no wonder that she is in love with him. I fell in love with him as well. God bless them both. Yes, the world would be different and for the better.
Excellent as always from Rabbi and Rebbetzin Vigler . Very insightful as we have come to expect and have experienced as relatively new congregants. Shana Tova... Michael and Brigitte B.
Salam, 🙏🏻 Rabbi Dovid and Chana Vigler, you are absolutely Right in your interpretation of Relationship, Marriage, Orthodoxy & Observance 👍🏻👍🏻🌹and I am so Happy that it is so close to the teachings of Holy Quran/Holy Bible/Holy Torah 👍🏻which binds us so tightly close,& rightly close by the Prophet Abraham's Religions 🙏🏻God Bless Humanity across the Globe 🌎 Amen 🌹 Sohail Karachi Pakistan ❤️
Hello love this video, I’m Christian & I feel really uncomfortable hugging & kissing friends I’ve never really liked it when people invaded my space. I totally understand your commitment just to your family. Since coming out of covid for me it has now put a stop to this, I missed hugging our grandsons & our daughter so to keep them safe I no longer allow people into my space. God bless you both & keep you safe 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you Rabbi and Rebetzin for your wisdom. A question I would pose is, doesn't a hug or peck on the cheek of a friend show that you value them and their friendship above just another person you may know? Isn't it just a sign of affection for a dear friend without it becoming sexualized?
I am a Christian woman and I completely agree with this lovely couple. It would benefit all couples to sit down with them to discuss the realities of marriage. It is all about commitment and loyalty.
When making more of these videos, can you have a voice over for the questions please? It makes them more accessible for people who are blind or visually impaired. I was unable to read the questions.
The thing that we tend to forget that there's so much in common when it comes to religions....as a Muslim we commanded to believe in all religions and all prophets without distinguishing them from each other " as long as it's practiced peacefully and respectfully".....and I found so much sense in what they spoke about in terms of the scarcity of the marriage and the sexual boundaries....all the respect 🙏
It's fascinating listening to them, because they really believe in what they say and they look very happy. But I also know that my life was very different and there are many different ways to be happy in marriage: I 've been happily married for 21 years and neither of us believe in God or verginity before marriage. And taking away physical contact with other human beings from me would be like killing me, even though I have never thought for one second that I could betray my husband. But hugging my friends of both genders in times of distress isn't certainly a sexual act, but simply an act of kindness.
My strange question is why does a woman where a wig after marriage? You should be able to show your own beautiful hair. Why have a wig to hide your natural beauty. Not to mention expensive, etc.
Very very good to underline that we are all keeping the Torah, since the word orthodox is a word given from someone outside the observant Jews. We are orthopratic. I like to do what it is said : Not take a observant Jewish womans hand. She belongs to her husband not to me at all. Very good information and teaching. keep up the very good work, Folke from Sweden.
These guys have a great thing , this thing is the thing that everybody who is a human and not completely bent will understand and therefore the laws of jews will be understood and the same people , at least the sane people , will get it . And that is a good thing my friends .
@@myJLI The contrast of how man and woman explain this thing is very intriguing , surely there is wisdom even by the example of the thing that you are on topic about , man / woman , in marriage and contrast in explaining the thing , two styles that become one ... Thank you for doing these videos , it is a service that deserves thanks .
I met this couple many years ago at their Yom Kippur service in a hotel. It was my husband’s first time making it through the service without leaving. They are something special. Truly wonderful neshamas. We’ve now become Baal tshuva, but they gave us our first good taste of true chassidus.
Yo Rabbi and Rabbi's wife, that was truly expiring and insightful and all that! I believe that what y'all was saying is the secret to happy marriage! Once when a young lady was axed if she "liked" a young man that she was dating and answered that she had the same love for him as any other jewish person the Menachem Mendel Rebbe said . . . “For a husband, you have to have more than basic love of a fellow Jew.” well this rabbi wife seems to have that, if you axed me.
I don’t want some strange person touching me, of either gender. Couples that are smooching and pawing each other in public, it is rude and dishonors themselves. Some animals do it in public without shame, but other animals first perform elaborate courting rituals that set aside the act as special from the other acts of instinct.
I’m a Christian but after 12 years working in the Middle East, not touching the opposite sex (other than husband &family) is a big part of my values. There is nothing bizzare about this.
I don't entirely share the same opinion as you, that marriage comes first and then love; but what I do agree with is that love most certainly grows daily in marriage .. and that intimacy is more special - deeper, and overall incredible - in marriage. I believe intimacy outside of marriage cannot compare to intimacy within marriage. Another thing .. non-Jewish people just don't go around kissing and hugging every woman or man that we see, as your absolutely beautiful wife suggested. We do hug and/or kiss those we love and care about, of course .. but there are certainly lines drawn, for most people, as to whom gets shown our affection in that way. In marriage, loyalty is paramount, and our affection toward our spouse should be held in the most high regard than toward any other relationship or person. There is absolutely no wiggle-room whatsoever where that is concerned.
Wow, that's a really special story. Thanks for sharing!
I'm not a Jew, but this perspective on marriage, 10 on 10.
I love how they look at each other. Not all googly-eyed, but full of respect.
😊😊😊
I am not Jewish however what this couple says is so true. I enjoyed their talk so much. Thank you.
You are so welcome! These kind of insights are universal!
As an Azerbaijani Muslim, I would like to say that you guys are today the subject of my prayers, may God bless you both! 👍
Thanks!

Stunning I'm Christian and this is such stunning advice and a wonderful couple
This couple gave me so much to meditate on.
That's great to hear!
This dude has a serious way with words. well done.

The way you talk, the way you LOVE each other is an example for all the world👍🌏!
Thank you very much for sharing!
May God bless you very much🙏🙏!!!
🙏🙏
Love the way they look at each other. The trust.
Trust is so important!
I like when she said that if you found love once you can find it again in that same person.
Powerful point indeed.
I'm not Jewish but I can get behind a lot of these ideas. I think a lot of people don't like the idea of living within any guidelines.
Okay...let's talk about how he looks at her when she's speaking 😅😅 That's amazing.
😊😊
@Michael Acquah…and the way she looks at him too.
And she likewise. 😊
And vise versa ❤
I love this so much. You both speak so well. I am a cradle Catholic and though I have never question faith I have struggled with Catholicism. I love to hear your passion and a commitment
So happy to hear! Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for watching!
Feeling great sympathy for this couple. Wise rules and life advice.
💯💯
I love what they have to say! And the end is the best part. Rabbi, leave ur wife alone 😂!! And she said what she has to say in a subtle loving way!! Anyone can imagine that! Very sweet and very spiritual and very deep!
As a Catholic I share the same views. Bless you both
Thank you so much!

I agree with everything you said regarding marriage! Thank you for this wonderfully informative discussion!

I'm a traditional Roman Catholic and your way of explaining the whys is wonderful and agree.

Beautiful couple with the right insights, living life, marriage and family the way it is supposed to be!
The way it's supposed to be in your opinion, couldn't be further from what I think marriage is about, we're very equal in mine,I'm not treated just a baby carrier or just as mother,I'm treated as a woman where my opinions and wants are respected.
intimacy and sex is not seen as impure and is not taught as bad like in other religions. it is sacred and holy
Exactly!
Curious to know which other religion you are referring to. As most I know speak of the same thing.
Absolute gems of Torah wisdom 🙌🏻
Yes indeed!
I love you guys, thank you for the purity, honesty, beautiful and Godly advice and words. God bless you both 🤗🙏🏻
Same to you!
I love this. My husband and I made the commitment many years ago and we had many problems during our marriage and had to rebuild the marriage many times. We had to fall in love many times. That's a great question! Perhaps this will shed some more light on the topic ua-cam.com/video/VinuyZb-ES8/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for this! It has helped me understand our marriage better without even realizing what we were doing.
Glad it was helpful!
I am a Christian woman and I completely agree with this lovely couple. It would benefit all couples to sit down with them to discuss the realities of marriage. It is all about commitment and loyalty.
Indeed!
What a beautiful couple ❤, well done
You are so kind
I love when he says he was looking for a kind person - not a professor. Look for character not externals. Externals change, character does not.
So true! 🙌
really enjoyed this one. thank you for your efforts!
Happy to hear that!
So very well sad

Please G-d! So happy you found this. Welcome to our channel!
Beautiful words 😊
Thank you! 🙂
I love you both! ❤
Ok I will have strange questions but why men are not shaving their facial hair? And why they don't trim it?
That's such a good question!
My strange question is why does a woman where a wig after marriage? You should be able to show your own beautiful hair. Why have a wig to hide your natural beauty. Not to mention expensive, etc.
I definitely agree. I've always felt that, too much touching, feely, feely thing going on between relative strangers.

It's time to cherish as well, our private life.
Absolutely.
Does your unconditional love and acceptance for your children hold true if one of them comes out as gay?
Yes!
Loving a child and loving there actions are 2 separate things.
Amazing even if your not orthodox ! Thank you, Shalom
