Exactly what I was hoping for. Would be awesome if you could update previous asset packages to have modular outfits as well. I have nearly all of your packs so it would be nice if I could mix and match.
I would love a survival asset pack. Like wall and foundation and floor and roof (and tools etc etc) Sort of like in rust and ark. Where you place out your foundation and make your house on them.
i have a problem with animating this pack with Mixamo and that it's because all the character are in a single FBX and mixamo can't recognize the root bone. do you have a solution for animating the characters.
Recently purchased this off your store and using it in Unreal, everything's great except I can't figure out how to get the helmets and capes to show up with your blueprint. A tutorial going over the system and how to add to it would be awesome.
Well I own the rest of the POLYGON Series might as well lol. This would fit perfectly with a couple projects of mine already, just need it on the UE4 Marketplace. Would love to see more modular assets for each type (Sci-Fi, Modern, ec..) even if it costs a little extra.
We have the modular character pack and we wanted to extend it by combining it with custom built modular characters. To do that I'm stacking new custom characters on the Synty characters pack, Taking a part that I want, Putting that part (for example torso) to where Synty character has that part in the hierarchy (to the list of torsos) Choosing whatever root bone Synty bodyparts (torso in this case) use. Deletin anything else the new character had But the new part doesn't get animated along the old ones (even tho the new characters themselves are animatable on their own) I'd be really happy if someone can give me a hint on this
Could you make a tutorial or a course where you show how to make modular characters? Want to try this but it’s kind of more convoluted than traditional sculpting rigging and animating.
Unfortunately we don't provide tutorials on modelling however there are many tutorials for modelling. I also recommend reaching out to our discord community as many of them have made custom characters or modified the Modular Fantasy Character. discord.gg/S3VqQjs
@@syntystudiossupport8176 Thanks for getting back to me so fast! great to here! this pack was perfect!. a few more questions. Do they all share the same skeleton as the non modular packs? I want to use one skeleton for all of the packs. And my last question do you know of any videos or knowledge on rigging these to the UE4 advanced locomotion system v4? These are the last road blocks before purchasing all the packs for our game.
I'm willing to deal with a few issues but I'm reading different reviews saying that scaling is a very big issue with this pack. As in the Scale will not match your other packs and so it requires a very large investment of time to get this to work. I am thinking this adding a modular layer also added some complexity that may require a guide. However I am also reading that there is no guide and zero customer support with redirection being the preferred response. That leaves me in a weird place. My goal was to use this as a guide line and expand on the clothing options if possible but I want to get a running demo using this asset done in 4 months and I can't afford to spend 3 months handling learning the skills to fix this then fixing it without even a guide. The comments I'm seeing are old, months or years ago - my question is-is there a guide for this yet?

@@syntystudiossupport8176 I haven't bought the product only inquiring with others about what reviewers have said was the issue with this Fantasy Hero pack. I have bought your Nature Landscapes pack which only has one issue-that when downloaded from the Synty website the Unity version isn't detectable by the Asset Manager. I just dragged and dropped it to solve that problem. I am also figuring it's just my noobness with Unity that is why I could figure out how to get the Manager to recognize the files.
@@syntystudios I wish you good luck and fast review time. I'm looking forward fo this pack, for i have an idea for a low poly project and this pack is perfect for that kind of game :)
How come I get a blender "Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect data check" when I try to import the FBX??? Are these protected / unmodifiable models??
We don't model in blender however if you haven't seen already, one of our users has made a video for importing character models: ua-cam.com/video/W-um_2dY45Q/v-deo.html
Yes we have a UE4 version available on syntystore.com/products/polygon-modular-fantasy-hero-characters however it is currently not available on UE4 Marketplace.
Guys. Synty does not provide animations. You have to do that yourself. When will you guys ever stop asking that question? They literally tell you in EVERY SINGLE product description that the pack comes unanimated. Are you guys illiterate?
For anyone having trouble with this pack this guy does a pretty good in depth tutorial on how to set up the characters in Unreal Engine ua-cam.com/video/d7iTYzGFkVs/v-deo.html Hope this helps.

Me to
Yes!!! I have been hoping for this for so long. Thank you synty for always making such great assets!
Thank you for supporting us :)
Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks for updating the unreal version with adding the weapon! Didn't even realize the pack was missing them lol.

those are awesome!!
Like what you did with the capes!
This is amazing! Cant wait to start using this on a project
This is insane. Awesome work!
This would be great if there were tutorials for it...............
Looks amazing! Do you have any plans to add characters for other themed assets you have? I would love to see some modular Samurai characters.
Eventually yes :)

I'm still working on the reply to your email :) it's not the easiest of systems since there are a lot dependency with hair, hats, etc
use everything as skeletal meshes you could probably integrate this pack with the modular rpg heroes kit
Looks great! Are there any wizard/mage clothes?
There is some URP issue with this asset pack, I have got a pink material :(
You can fix this easily! Edit - Render Pipeline - Universal Render Pipeline - Upgrade Project Materials
@@84Joshof Yeah, it worked with the other asset packs, however, this method did not work particularly for mudular fantasy characters :(
Alright, I think I figured it out: you must to manually switch shader to URP Lit and just attach the material
that's nice man!
Why don't you sell this on Unreal marketplace
Brilliant!
Thanks :)
When is it coming to unreal store?
You have any videos showing characters moving or doing things? I want to see them alive.

I'm just looking for a fantasy female character. Can I change the hair color and clothes? How do I do that? lol
You can change the clothes color in the materials setting. please email support@syntystudios.com if you are still having issues.
I'm a Unity newcomer. May I inquire as to the method by which you connect all of the modules?

We have an UE4 version available on syntystore.com
You should make monster hunter pack. Would be awesome!!

You get a package full of assets, you then code your own character customization UI? not sure what else you mean
