Your videos came just at the right time for me! I am about to build an abandoned mine site on my model railroad, D&RGW in the rockies. Now I have some fantastic references to use in my rendition...I subbed your channel as I am a D&RGW railfan as well but in faraway Australia!!!

Have you ever been the the McCloud River Railroad! Since 2009 that tracks are torn up and at Lake Britton they crossed the trestle from “Stand By Me.
No I've never actually heard of it, sounds cool though!

Fun Fact, the Tennessee Pass isnt actually abandoned, its out of service, Union Pacific still owns the right of way and i think has a dispatch for Minturn but they simply don't run trains over it, they're supposed to maintain it but they don't, this line could be placed back in service at any time if needed. This out of service status is why the line isn't in use, if a they wanted to abandon it, the state would force them to sell it to either BNSF or a shortline.
