I love that most of the reasons are not only for Des Moines but for Iowa in general... Iowa nice! I'll move to Marshalltown (39' from my future new home to Adventureland park, my daughter is happy hahaha) and I will visit Des Moines frequently. Are there something like seasons events with street concerts, street food for example? I think that there aren't NHL or NBA teams, it's is possible to watch some kind of good hockey or basket matches in Des Moines?
These are great ideas for videos!! While we don't have any pro teams, there is college basketball to watch and the Drake Bulldogs have been doing great. And for hockey we have Iowa Wild that plays at Wells Fargo Stadium and the Des Moines Buccaneers are in process of building a new arena at Merle Hay Mall. (Now that I think about it, Iowa Wild might be pro - I'm not really sure how that works.)
I think you might be way off. I just did a little research and Des Moines itself is smaller than Savannah proper in population, but our metro area is not quite double your metro area. Soooooo, if you thought we were Hicks in the Sticks, you’ll be disappointed because we are so much more citified. (But I can get you to the Hicks in the Sticks pretty quick and they know how to party!) 😂
Des Moines isn't really that big i drove on highway 69 from Ankeny to south edge of Des Moines in less then 20 minutes. Of course it wasn't during their so called rush hour
