Settle in and enjoy the complete IPRA Under 2 Litre national Championship from the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit. With three heat races and a final there was plenty of on track entertainment throughout the 2016 IPRA Nationals.
However it was the NSW Honda Civics of Graeme Cox and Bob Jowett that would lea the way and be the cars to beat all weekend. - Авто та транспорт
Good stuff, what racing should be all about. Wide variety of cars and sounds unlike the boring robotic racing of today.

ikr... the race is more exciting with this..
must be nice to have a dad. :[
love watching the cox father and son team. awesome race.
i read that as "love watching the cocks"
They both drive the civic to the limit. One day we'll see them both in a race and that'll be an interesting competition
@@BlendLineTV can i ask what does it say on them red and green balloons Daniel
It made me happy to see a focus on the line. Great watch.
i bet he has a prelude brake set up on the Civic
A few dodgey 2L there, especially an RX7 ! And 2.4 Dattos etc
the rotor's are machined down to get them under the 2040cc with the x1.8 multiplier for rotary engines. Rx7 has 13b Bridgeport machined down and rx3 has a 12aPP machined down. There are no 2.4 Dattos in that class, its under 2L (2040cc to be exact)
mk1 golf! SWEEEEETTTT
I like the rsx driver
So the EG Civic is the 'leaderboard car' here a la Forza.
guess who's gonna go home tonight and make a B class civic....this guy
it annoying that i can't see the name of the cars on the leaderboard at the end of the race.
Hamdan Alharbi
coz most of em are modified... some engine swaped with different brands. and some cars are not sponsored by their vehicle brands...
thats just what i think so far.
Was there a HP and torque restrictions?
Can anyone tell me more about that red/orange mazda with the black hood at 0:18? I have the same car (called mazda mx3 in Belgium), I'd like to find more information about the car shown in the video intro!! Anyone knows who is the driver?
Hi Julien, Declan Kirkham is your man for those Mazda's. He's a competitor in IPRA Victoria. However, if you head to the NSW IPRA community here: facebook.com/groups/ipransw/
OR Bathurst 6hr group here: facebook.com/groups/140256916313933/
You should be able to find him. Always happy to chat racing.
Thanks a lot man! I'm so happy, I thought no one took those brilliant little mazda cars on track!!!
Any time, hope you find the information you're after. There are a few of those cars kicking around in Australian Motorsport. They competed in the Bathurst 12 hour way back when, and there was one in Production Car Racing in NSW in 2013/2014 which you'll find some shots of in our old coverage from back then, just not sure of the video so can't be more help.
is there any racing games that serves this type of racing? besides nfs pro street
Not that we're aware of. It'd be a cool addition to iRacing though!
I have a question. Are these cars were used to be simple street cars and they were built as racing cars afterwards?
Yes, the cars have all been standard sedans previously. Not sure if all have made it to being road cars before turned into race.
Thanks for replying!
this is 2 liter NA class ? or are some turbo cars ?
As far as we are aware all are NA. A turbo would bump up their capacity to over 2L which is another group of cars.
Jens Thoelen pretty sure the civic hatch is k20 wit small turbo? no
The EG6 runs a bored/stroked B series.
Maroon Datto 1200 is turbo, rest are NA and all under 2040cc
no miata? strange
mx-6 or 8

Hi when can we see j cox racing again do any one know?
Good race, fun to watch, sounds like a bunch of farts tho
lol 4cyl don't sound good when you have all the sound deadening deleted. Still love the incar sound. But 4cyl exhaust doesn't sound good raspy. That's why my RSX runs invidia q300 :-)
It's hilarious that all of these FWD Honda's have spoilers on the back that put downforce on the back wheels which put no power to the ground whatsoever... lol added weight and drag for absolutely no benefit at all
Ryan Cowtan
hahah boom.. i agree 😂😂
Fun fact, the rear wing is arguably the most important part of that car's speed. The real struggle in tuning a FWD car isn't in getting the front to do everything, but to get grip in the rear.
it will improve back end stability under braking. aswell as reduce the effects of lift off oversteer.
Cory Goodman just keyboard warrior with no batshit about racing cars..
Rear wheels are your stability wheels no matter if its rwd or fwd
