Need to get tools to get this done today. I like how you explained the sequence - other vids dont do it. Also would be good to understand if you wear a rubber gloves specifically for this job (battery electricity) or it’s not related.
Cool question, actually the main reason for wearing gloves is because I have to drive my car after an installation, so it's to keep my car clean! 😂 But...sometimes we work with batteries that are highly corroded and the acid actually burns your skin so it's sort of become a habit to wear them.
Alright. Replaced it today. All was relatively easy. Funny moment - I left my new battery in the back, and I couldnt open the boot as I disconnected AND removed battery. Couldnt stop laughing how stupid I was. By the way, the issue I had - I was getting an an error - Component Y3/9n1 (CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission) control unit) is defective or the voltage supply is faulty (undervoltage) - chat gpt suggested to replace a battery (it was oem!) issue meant automatic gear was not betting enough power from the battery. Replaced now and back on track.
1:34 Also I thought it was a negative cable that you were tucking away 😂
Good job. Just in time for me! On my old 2008 w245 I have also extra connector that goes on the side where the negative cable.
Interesting, thanks for the feedback. Relatively easy job though?
