Yay your back! I’ve missed your videos!
Yess. Ive been waiting for your videos everytime! 🌸
Nice to see you back! I also liked The Maidens more than most people, though I didn't think it was all that surprising of a thriller. I think it had just enough twistiness to be a good time without making itself overly convoluted, which I appreciate from his books. I don't know if you like detective novels but Keigo Higashino's Detective Galileo series are very consumable in the same way Alex Micheladas is, but I know a lot of people don't like their thrillers/mysteries from the perspective of detectives.
I would highly highly recommend Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin as well as Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus for really fantastic literary fiction books! They're two of my absolute favorites that I've read in the past few months. Also in terms of thrillers I just read a new release I Have Some Questions for You by Rebecca Makkai and it had my attention the whole time! I listened through the audiobook in two days - highly recommend since it's narrated by Julia Whelan. Happy to see another new video from you!
I may not handle human death, but as a euthanasia technician I'm so interested in your recommendation of All the Living and The Dead. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely want a full review of that book. Also love Caitlin Doughty, so will be reading the one about the death industry for sure. ❤
I read the tteokbokki book in both korean and english (to give it a shot again) and i still agree with you on opinions on it! Was very confused at all the hype in korea because i also thought it was subpar and not very for me.
All the living and the dead sounds so interesting.
All the living and the dead sounds really interesting 👀
Would love to see you check out some Octavia E Butler books sometime, personally she’s one of my favorite authors but I’m interested in what ur thoughts about her may be
(My personal favorite is Dawn, but if ur not into hard sci-fi I’d start with Kindred)
Your laugh is infectious Morgan. Thank you for your channel. Long live Stephen King!
Omg what eyeshadow are you wearing? 😍
i was also underwhelmed by Tteokbokki! i appreciated the author’s openness but i found the chapters a little disjointed. at least it was short 😆
I also attempted to read I Want to Eat Tteokbokki but dnf'd it halfway through for the same reasons :( super disappointing
