It's funny that your favourite books in the Inheritance Games series were book one and two, while mine were one and three. The second one made me feel like it wasn't major enough like it isn't necessary for the hole story and I would like for it to be the first one and the third one as a series😅 It shows that maybe it's actually good that we got three books so there's place for everyone's favourites😂 Great video! ❤️ I recently bought "Better than the movies" because of your recommendation and it's on my TBR for 2023, I can't wait to read it!🥰 greetings from Poland❤️
I think the reason why a lot of people didn't like 'The Final Gambit' is because it's the last book of such a great series, it has a lot to live up to. I personally really liked it (even the second time that I was reading it this year after hearing a lot of comments that it was not that good, I wanted to see if I really liked it that much and I did, idk if that makes any sense 😂), but because it is an ending (for now) everyone was expecting something beyond great.
@@silvia_ia_georgieva I'm happy that you also liked it🥰 and yes I think that it totally makes sense, it might be the problem/ reason for all these mixed reactions. All this expectations and everyone having their own vision for the future of their favourite characters probably didn't help😂

I read 13 books in the past month and I am currently reading the twisted series (it's okayish), the inheritance games, and the spanish love deception. I also bought the Caraval series because of you!

I read the Legend series when I was in middle school, and I actually got to meet Marie Lu at a local bookstore. I haven’t read it since then, but I recommend giving it another try. The second book of the series is so much better than the first. The writing is a little simple, but the plot is good
You can totally start the Infernal devices series without reading the mortal instruments series but you could read up a bit on the history of the Shadowhunters etc. Please finish the Infernal devices, it gets better in the second book! ♥️♥️

I’m a Cassandra Clare Stan since I was like 12. All of the spin-off series of the mortal instruments follow their own storylines but I still recommend starting with mortal instruments because the city of bones (first book) builds the world of the shadow hunters very well
The third/last book in the Anna and the French Kiss series is the best! (Wayyyy better than the first book). It’s called Isla and the Happily Ever After. You can read it as a stand alone (even tho there’s a chapter with characters from the second book (which is okay), it doesn’t change the plot) and it’s SO GOOD!!! YES HALEY IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME ABOUT THE ATLAS PARADOX. i loved the atlas six and i am so so sad that this book felt completely different. the plot was barely nonexistent and the main conflict regarding libby was dragged on for so long. the characters just didn’t feel like themselves at some points and they just acted weird like atlas and tristan were just acting so weird. the author also completely erased the chemistry between libby and nico and nico’s love interest now makes no sense in my opinion. idk if it’s a me thing but the plot also made no sense to me i was so confused. the writing is great as always but i was so disappointed ugh. i hope the last book in the series is better and wraps everything well :(

Haley! So i have watched you and your vlogs on and off for the last couple of years and so your reading channel was always popping up on my feed. This year I graduated college and so I wanted to get back into fun reading. My first series was the Cruel Prince Series and then the Vow of Thieves and your channel has been my go to for my next book recommendations! Thank you for your channel and I really enjoyed going back over all your books this year with you!
Ok so you said that no one had really heard of Percy Jackson series but girl…there is and entire fandom! We are in love like truly in love! It is amazing!! Am I know I am only thirteen and our reading preferences are very different but pleas make a video reading all of the Percy Jackson book! Like I am begging you! My whole freaking heart is begging you!!🤪
Wow I'm so impressed by the amount of books you managed to read in a year ! One of my top reads in 2022 is definetly Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber 😊 I'm a fan of hers since Caraval but for some reason OUABH did not click that much with me, and the ending just put me off but I'm so glad I continued the series because I liked Ballad so much better 😭 I'm so excited to read the last book omg
I loved this video so much, thanks! I'm currently reading Once Upon a Broken Heart and I'm antsy to buy the second book already. I read (listened to) all of Caraval last year but for me the first book was my top favorite in the series 😆 I can't wait for this new one, it'll probably be one of the first books I finish in 2023 (I read like 5 books simultaneously, mood reader that I am). Happy New Year!
Haley I think you would love the Remnant Chronicles!! The first book is called A Kiss of Deception and it’s in the same universe as Dance of Thieves!! It’s such a good series with world building and different povs!!
Okay but the CARAVAL/ BROKEN HEARTS SERIES I love hearing opinions on it! If you are reading the AUDIOBOOKS ARE GAME CHANGERS!!! The lyrical writing is perfect for them and would recommend, this series gets better the more you read so if you are on the first caraval book and are in the middle about it, the next book gets better so hang in there! Also as a super fan of this series, Haley gave a great review even if in my mind it’s 5 stars series, so I’m glad she got to read it and review it 🫶🫶
i’m late, however I just finished the legend series and I LOVED IT! The first book isn’t great but the 2nd and 3rd books are 4.5/5 star reads. i highly recommend this to anybody and hayley! you NEED to finish the series.

It’s entirely okay to start the Shadowhunters chronicles with the infernal devices trilogy. After you finish those read The Last Hours trilogy (Chain of Thorns, the last book in that trilogy comes out January 31st). Then the City of Bones series and lastly The Dark artifices. There are some novellas as well that I have yet to read.
1. I take pride in being "some random dude". 2. The entire Percy Jackson series is a BANGER, you've gotta read it. 3. Did anyone else notice that Haley had two copies of The Hobbit? There's the one she holds and another sitting on the shelf in the pile of books to our left. 😅 Love the vids keep up the good work!

If you want a sci-fi romance to dip your toes, you could try “Cinder” it’s part of a series which I have yet to finish but I enjoyed it.
i loved the lunar chronicles! definitely recommending it
I love Elin Hilderbrand so much! She’s my fav author at the moment because of all the beach vibes and romance!
My whole freaking heart is begging you!!🤪
yay the best vid of the year! happy new year haley
also i have you to thank for my reading addiction now hehe
Wow I'm so impressed by the amount of books you managed to read in a year ! One of my top reads in 2022 is definetly Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber 😊 I'm a fan of hers since Caraval but for some reason OUABH did not click that much with me, and the ending just put me off but I'm so glad I continued the series because I liked Ballad so much better 😭 I'm so excited to read the last book omg
Your book era is the best thing ever
I loved this video so much, thanks! I'm currently reading Once Upon a Broken Heart and I'm antsy to buy the second book already. I read (listened to) all of Caraval last year but for me the first book was my top favorite in the series 😆 I can't wait for this new one, it'll probably be one of the first books I finish in 2023 (I read like 5 books simultaneously, mood reader that I am). Happy New Year!
Your channel literally got me back into reading! Thank you soo much Haley! ❤️❤️❤️
Haley I think you would love the Remnant Chronicles!! The first book is called A Kiss of Deception and it’s in the same universe as Dance of Thieves!! It’s such a good series with world building and different povs!!
Haley omg you should do NANOWRIMO next year! If you want to write, its a great opportunity!
I’m so happy you mentioned love and gelato. It was the book that got me back into reading. It’s such a cute underrated book 🩵
if you do want to get into sci-fi. I recommend stung by Bethany Wiggins a young adult sci-fi has a sub plot of romance. Its a triogy
I've rewatched your monthly wrap-ups so many times, and now they're all in one video haha
The Selection is one of my favorite series ever. Its very underrated and I need for them to be turned into movies
REALLLLL
Great video! Many of these series are on my tbr🤩(ToG, ACOTAR, FotA, Caraval+OUABH, inheritance games, the selection)
I read only 20 books this year..Hopefully I will read way more in 2023 Insha allah❤️
Legend series is so good I think I read it maybe 6-7 years ago, but yeah first book kind of slow, 2nd and third are so good though!!!
I also loved caraval series
@@cd2_ I’ll try reading Caraval! What’s your favorite series?
@@zoefoley6818 um I have no clue I’m so old now hahahah it’s been awhile since I’ve read, I always loved the Michael vey books, maximum ride was a great series, cinder was a good one , any dystopian type city was my favorite .
I also really liked the renegades, arch enemies, supernova series also dystopian
@@cd2_ I actually love the Michael Vey books and I’m pretty sure I have Renegades so I’ll probably read that soon!
I’m surprised being a reader and UA-camr for so long that you haven’t read a lot of those popular YA book series. Love your channel!!
haley i just wanted to let you know that your videos convinced me to read the dance or thieves duology and it became some of my favorite books ever! so thank you for that ❤
literally love this channel so much the amount of effort she putts into her book videos and any videos really
the second book of the shadow and bone trilogy is one of my favorite books! oh what i would do to read that book for the first time again. also read the six of crows, i just finished it and it was amazing, also one of my favorites.
Just found this channel somehow and it jus really reminded me how much I used to love to read literally all night. the bigger the better n now overtime I jus switched to UA-cam. I really miss reading tho hope I haven’t lost the spark
Kathrine center backlist: how to walk away and what to save in a fire. Must reads!
Eeeek!!!! I've been waiting for thisssss 😭😭😭 always LOVE UR VIDS, Haley! I love ur reviews and reactions to books! I also love how u give spice warnings tooo! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ ILY GBU
Haley you have to do a video where you read Shakespeare's plays, I want to know your opinions on it so bad, plus it's one of my favorite authors ❤️
You should try Blake Crouch for sci-fi.
Now I want to go back and read all of my formerly beloved YA fantasy books.
1. I take pride in being "some random dude".
2. The entire Percy Jackson series is a BANGER, you've gotta read it.
3. Did anyone else notice that Haley had two copies of The Hobbit? There's the one she holds and another sitting on the shelf in the pile of books to our left. 😅
Love the vids keep up the good work!
The Shatter Me series 🤌 so freaking good!!
haley, you should read lia louis books. They're so quick and written so well. so fun! my favorite of her books is emmie blue but they are all great!
I read summer of broken rules based on your recommendation and I loved it!! super excited for your next year's videos :)
Would looove to see how you are going to spread out your reading journal for this year (if you’re thinking of using one, that is) xx
Thank you for another video!❤ and I’m so happy that you loved the Broken Heart series!🥹 There my FAVORITE books!!
My favourite youtuber here to save the last day of the year 💗💗💗✨✨✨
