Great video nam. i remember being so afraid that UA-cam would impact my directing career but it's only given it more opportunities to allow it to flourish
This video was very encouraging for me. I have a job as a video director on an internal marketing team at a corporate company. I don't love it and after my wife and I had our daughter a little over a year ago, it feels like all my frustrations with it - that I've been feeling for some time - have been amplified. I've been trying to slowly build my own UA-cam channel over the past several years, but I've always struggled with consistency and finding my own voice. Ever since my daughter was born, it's become even more difficult for me to get motivated to create content and continue to grow, and that frustration, combined with those at work, have given way to overarching depression and hopelessness concerning my career as a whole. So, this video really resonated with me. I think the biggest thing I need to right now is to start treating my channel more like a business, like you suggested, and also to just starting creating again. Your channel has always been an inspiration for me, but I really needed a video like this one specifically, especially at this time in my life and career. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing! I feel you’re doing great man! Being a first time parent is not easy but it can also become the most rewarding thing once you accept that identity ✨It sounds like you're already on the right track! Don't give up and power through it ✊
Great video, thank you for that! It's good to know that I'm not alone as a filmmaker, boyfriend, home owner, keeping up with friends, etc etc. Thank you again, and keep going! ❤
That’s actually where I want to up my game. My instagram was suffering lately :) But yeah if something is already working I think it’s best to focus on that
I’m approaching my first year on UA-cam too and this resonates deeply. The journey has opened so many new doors and uncovered layers of myself I hadn’t explored before. Thank you for sharing this, Nur - it’s beautifully done.
I have loved making UA-cam videos. It helps to hone in on what you like, what inspires you, and just generally stay creatively refreshed. Plus it's just a way to impart some free knowledge & put your work into the world with no strings attached. I'm still growing in my videos but I enjoy each one I make.
soooo awesome nur. I could relate almost everything in this video and am really loving how far you're pushing the cinematography + editing in your recent posts. definitely inspiring me!
i bought 2 of the treatment packages and loved them. great stuff i decided a week and a half ago to go all in on youtube. i just got off a set with kevin spacey and realized i never got into this to meet famous people or be popular. i want to make videos. this video was a great reminder, thank you!
True! But also everything has a purpose in our journey :) Life is a perfect story structure! I’m sure meeting Kevin will play it’s part some time in the future 🙌
This video is great! Super informative, super relatable, and impactful as well! Incredibly well done and well said! Excited to have found your UA-cam Channel!
Hey Nur, love the video! Funny timing, I was just writing about how UA-cam has changed me for the better, and then I came across your video. I started my UA-cam journey about 6 months ago for similar reasons, and it’s wild seeing so many creative people choosing UA-cam over client work now. Your ‘UA-cam roulette’ analogy really hit home - gotta play to win! I wasn’t taking this UA-cam thing too seriously until my last video unexpectedly hit over 4,000 views. Watching your journey really reassures me that I’m on the right path. Thanks for sharing!
Right? It makes sense. People make the stuff they enjoy and get rewarded. We haven’t had that before and this the only well rounded platform for such content at the moment.
@@nurniazfilms Exactly! This is why creator economy is continue to grow. I can’t think of a better platform than UA-cam for building a valuable audience and a like-minded community, especially for creators who are geographically challenged like us. What an amazing time to be a creator.
Really great work, @Nur. I love that this speaks to so much of what one person can be. Love your aesthetic, and the poetic vulnerability you bring here to YT. Thanks for making.
Great video Nur! Very relatable watching this video as we have embarked on a similar journey the last 2-3 years balancing our freelance client work with building a brand on UA-cam. Can't wait to see more and hope to connect :) Jono
Had the pleasure of meeting Nur earlier this year in Dubai-such a nice guy, even better than the online version 😂 Thanks for helping me not only learn and develop my creative mind but also for being a personal inspiration. It’s great to see more of the behind-the-scenes details. Definitely a reward for all your hard work. As you mentioned about that video going viral, I’m curious-how has your creative approach changed as you adapt your work to fit this UA-cam format? Thanks again!
Yo Felipe! Thanks man, it was a ton of fun to hang out man 🙌 As to your question I haven’t thought about it that much. I think I’ve become more efficient with storytelling so I try to not waste the viewer’s time. With UA-cam I try to think of the shortest way to get the idea across without losing the context. That’s something on my mind even when I’m just writing (which was definitely not the case before). So yeah, I think efficiency 🤔
Thanks Nur, this video is really inspiring and gave me an additional motivation of starting my own UA-cam channel. Currently I am finishing editing my first video that I will upload next week and I will try to stay consistent as I have planned out for the next following months. My goal is to share my thoughts and if I get lucky, inspire other people to create more. Wish you the best! 🙏🏻
Great storytelling and a very encouraging message. I ldid laugh as my email popped up on the screen at the 5:25 mark, but I'll still remain hopeful that we collaborate one day :) The part where you touched on the numbers not being important hit home. Prior to leaving behind a large channel and moving on to a new one, I focused on the numbers way too much. I learned having a lot of subs, views, etc..doesn't equal financial success, happiness and all the things most people chase when they begin this journey. Anyhow, I'm glad you are creating and being vulnerable sharing your story, struggles, and advice. You benefit, I benefit and vice-versa... thanks for that.
Jesus Loves Ya :D no matter what you did, Or no matter what you think you are, If you're a mess, A Killer, A Saint, A Student, A Person just trying to survive... Jesus Loves you, The Source of Love, Went out of his way to Die for you, He loves you, Will you love him?

You were one of the main motivators for me to give it a go 🖤

Thank you! Will do!
Appreciate the openness. 🙏🏾 I’m on a similar journey but via Instagram. I’ll eventually transition to YT but I’m too deep into ig at this point

What is that crazy ad at 12:00???
Oh that was a music video I made way back. It’s called Dzhanel - bez tebya and I believe it’s still on UA-cam
@ looks crazy man congrats, why not considering doing a breakdown of your work? (Directing, Cinematigraphy, Editing) :)
Отличная работа!
You're in a great place! I wanted to start youtube since 2020 but ..... :-)....
Do it! 🙌
Great acting. I read that you can't direct if you can't act.
At least it makes for a better collaborative experience between the director and the actor 🙌
