Facts I was like it looks so odd but in the arcade if it wasn't broken just the sounds of it made you want to play! When they pop up right in front of you like oh snap...parents there lol
This game turned 30 years old this year. Unbelievable how time flies. This is by far the best mounted gun arcade of all time. Given how big the movie was back then and this arcade game just added to it. The console version don't come close to the arcade version at all. I fed this arcade game a lot of my money. Revolution X, Terminator 2 Judgement Day, Lethal Enforcers 1 and 2, Time Crisis I and II, Space Gun, Alien 3 The Gun, Crime Patrol, Area 51, Maximum Force, Mad Dog McGree, Steel Gunner, so many great legendary gun arcade games from the 90s. I'm going to hook up the MAME later and play this classic.
Same here, we had this game at the beach club I used to work at when I was 14. I played it whenever I could. The day I got the truck bonus and the good ending was one of my finest moments as a teen gamer.
John Connor is alive. Cyberdyne has been destroyed. Your future is what you make of it. Now go and ask your father for more coins to use in another game.
My favourite arcade game of all time! My buddy had his tenth birthday at the arcade and we spent all his birthday money on this. He was so scared of his mom finding out LMAO! We made it to the fight against the T-1000 in front of the Liquid Nitrogen Truck. Then listened to Bohemian Rhapsody over and over on the drive home. Super times.
Back in the day. There was a trick of not dying easily even playing solo. If I'm a left player, I shoot enemies more at the left half of the screen. I don't take damage from enemies at the right.
This game gives me bad memories. Not because of the Trip to Skynet level, but because a cop once physically threatened me over this game at San Diego's Del Mar Fair over 20 years ago.
I was at Galloping Ghost arcade today having at this on free play... nostalgia did wonders to make me forget what an absolute nightmare certain stages can be. I must have needed at least 50 tries to keep that helicopter from taking out the truck, and for some reason the game wouldn't give me the rocket to finish the T-1000 at the end.
If you shoot the Terminators that appear close up directly in the head, they will drop a CPU that will give you random powers. Including more energy and 1ups. The same goes for the computers on the Cyberdyne level that have the spinning chips in the monitors.
I've always hated that damn truck level. It was way less frustrating in the Genesis version; where you only needed one rocket to take out an HK. Hell, I even managed to occasionally keep the gunner alive in that one! Although I do love seeing the truck run down some endoskeletons in this one.
I personally hate the SWAT Van level more than the truck one since the helicopter can instantly destroy the van. That level can eat through your credits pretty quickly if you're not fast enough.
@@THE_MAQ355 My dad used to operate arcade machines, had his Revolution X machine converted to dollar bills; so much back and forth with tech support to get it working in the BIOS.
@@chrisdavis4292 I'd agree except the snes version you can only shoot 1 rocket at a time, as where Genesis and arcade you can spam missles as fast as you hit the button. Might not sound like a big deal but it does change the gameplay
@@Lightblue2222 Would have been nice if they added more voice overs like where John is in the Cyberdyne building to grab the chip and the endoskeleton arm saying "Alright"! "Excellent"! And in the last mission in the mill level where John says "Help"! "Termintor"! just like in the arcade.
Wish I was a bit older to seeing this for real, then. In the 90's the childhood dream was by far the game every boy ever played on the Sega Mega Drive. Only this girl played better.. The girl next door had the Nintendo. Oh thought was Mario. I had every game completed in the end this is born identity, Fucking love it..
Rolfenston awesome. That’s impressive. I love this game and wish it was on an arcade classics collection. MAME is cool too. I think I have it on there I’ll have to check
Before entering the lab, everything electronic as well as anything that contains documents like file cabinets, desks and shelves counts as equipment. Things like fire extinguishers, signs and the windows do not count.
What are you using to aim? I use a controller and it's not the same as when I used to use a Sega Genesis controller way back when. Are you using a mouse to aim?...if so, how did you set it up?
If you're using MAMEUI: In the main window, click the Options tab at the top then Default System Options. Under "Controllers", make sure "Enable mouse input" is checked, then under Controller mapping, make sure Lightgun device is set to Mouse. If using standalone MAME: At the main menu, click Configure Options then Device Mapping, and make sure "Lightgun Device Assignment" is set to mouse.
You cant replicate how it use to feel back in the late 80s and 90s arcade scene. I wish i was a kid again sometimes.

Road trip to Skynet still haunts my dreams....

Escape cyberdyne is way harder
All you have to do is ignore the Terminators and focus solely on the HK's and it's actually very easy to protect the truck.
That damned tuck ride to Skynet... bane of my existence back in the late 90s
Ignore the Terminators and focus solely on the HK's, and the truck ride becomes a piece of cake. The Terminators don't attack the truck, only you.
John Connor is alive.
Cyberdyne has been destroyed.

26:36 Don't worry John Connor dies in the next movie anyway and the world is saved by a tiny Mexican girl.
Lmao 😂 brutal.
Dark fate is not canon and it's the worst movie continuación ever 😡👎
Who’s hear to check out this game after hearing Arcade1up could be dropping this Cab 😅

Best playthrough I've seen. No cheats, excellent strategy. Way to go!
One of the cleanest playthroughs on UA-cam of THE PINNACLE of Midway Arcade Bullshit (tm). GG!

This games not the same unless your at the arcade playing it with the actual greasy ass handled guns with a buddy

Perhaps one of my favorite arcade games - period.
It's Judgement Day! The future is not set!
got any playthroughs of TERMINATOR SALVATION arcade version?? I wish there was one
would have been nice to see a playstation/saturn port to do it justice
The Super Nintendo version is the closest port you would find on a console.

Wow, is this about 2 years ago when the game came out.
That fucking truck level. Both of them.

Awesome gameplay.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Cyberdyne? More like Cyberdone.
Also my God this game was a quarter vampire.
How can I download it on my mobile phone?
I want to see someone get the “good ending” by destroying Cynerdyne I could never do it and anytime I’ve seen it done it was with a cheat
Well, I didn't use cheats to achieve it during this playthrough.

Rolfenston I tried a run of it on MAME. I missed 2 things in Cyberdyne. 2 things. I was so close.

Every timeline after T2 should be disregarded. After that movie, they had to keep changing the timeline so they could make more movies.
