I also really enjoyed seeing the pianist/conductor following him and working hard.

Always great to see Jimmy Roselli, especially since there is very little video footage of him online!

@@AustinCasey Thanks, Austin! I always appreciate it when they post singers of note of whom it is difficult to find video footage of. I feel it's historically important, and there are many who fall into that category in the archives.

Jimmy Roselli endured a lot in his life, but he was a total pro with a brilliant voice. Wonderful to see him again.

More Roselli!! 🙂🙂 He had such a fantastic and powerful voice.
Looks like he sang this after "Give My Regards To Broadway" on the same show.

Almost everyone alive from around the world listened to Sinatra, but every Italian house in the 60s had Jimmy Roselli records.

I read a ton of Sinatra books. When Roselli became famouse Sinatra got intimidated and thought his career was done.

Good voice! I am always impressed with Ed's orchestra. They could accompany any one, any type of music.

Had the pleasure in the 1980’s to take the master to lunch in Hoboken at da Vinci’s restaurant and meet his wife in the Paterson plank rd house. Incredible day. Sang in my car. Never forget. 👍👍👍👍👍

nobody sang italian like roselli....good memories, in the 1960s as a young man in making my rounds in brooklyn many homes would have his music on. speaking only brooklynese i never knew what he was saying, but it was always music to my ears. he was in a class by himself. when he passed i drove to holy cross cemetery in new jersey to say good bye and thank you.
if you are a roselli fan consider reading this book .....Making the Wiseguys Weep: The Jimmy Roselli Story by David Evanier.
the author has also written another book i have read ... 'Roman Candle: The Life of Bobby Darin'.

It's very sad to see those old tight-knit neighborhoods be gentrified, and the remnants are but pizzerias and restaurants owned mostly by Albanians!

Yes, Roselli is the Best! My parents & I, all knew Jimmy Personality. We lived a across the Street from Sinatra & Roselli in Hoboken.
In my Singing Performances around the World, I would Always sing Roselli Songs during my own Sinatra Concerts. Roselli would Grant me Full ALL ACCESS Backstage to any of his Concerts...just because he liked me. And, my Dad always told me David, "if Mickey (his Real Name) doesn't like you, you won't even be in the same room w/ him for a Milllon Dollars..Funny, but True. I believe one of my Concerts is still on My Channel.. of my Tributes singing The Way you Look Tonight, 2nd Mala Femmena, 3rd Young at Heart. Give it a Listen if you All Really Love Roselli & Sinatra Style, ( you'll be Amazed). One time I bumped into him at The Hoboken Post Office - I was walking out, & Roselli coming in held the Door open for me. On the boardwalk in Atlantic City I was eating a Hotdog w/ a Friend at a Stand Joint...& said, it would be something if Roselli stopped by here...And Guess what, ...Roselli came right up Next to us Both...Crazy! Too bad the Movie never came out, I would have Loved to Play Him in it. I Love Roselli.

Amazingly, Roselli grew up a few houses away from the Sinatra household in Hoboken. Obviously had a more powerful voice than Frank, Dean, Vic etc. Why wasn't he a bigger star? The explanation usually given is that he didn't play ball with the wise guys. Supposedly, there is a biopic in the works based on his biography, I wonder who will play Jimmy?

    • @jadezee6316

who said it was obvious he had a more powerful voice?
all the people who preferred Sinatra and Dean over him?

@jadezee6316 No need to get pissy. I love Frank and Dean just like everybody else but if you can’t grasp the fundamental truth of her comment ya might want to clean out your ears!

Do you understand this Italian dialect ? His strong voice truly captures the beauty of the language. It takes me back. It may not have been as memorable as some of his other hits but displays his ability to really captures the passion of the language.
