id do a self build, my mum and dad did one we just moved in it took a while but we were dealing with setbacks from tradespeople etc especially for the interior. only costs alot if you take the mick with the designs, im studying architecture right now and id reccomend to do a semi detached house if you were going to self build because you will end up with 2 houses if you get the right architects and stuff you can really build on a low budget. id also reccomend timber frames as they are really fast, our house is timber frame with stone exterior walls and its amazing there is no compromise on the quality at all. it would be a big project but it would also make more oppourtunities as investors because of your following could come across your work see what you do and see an oppourtunity, then you can start negotiations with investors for a 50/50 deal, eventually you would have the option to have 4-5 projects going on at a time making you hundreds of thousands a year solely off them nevermind the youtube videos, advertisements and sponsorships and potential rental income.
I don't mind where or what you buy, just don't disappear. This has been my favourite renovation in 2023. you're a very inspirational couple , Thank you for sharing your journey ❤💙
Thanks very much Tracy, this is very sweet and we’re chuffed you’ve enjoyed so much! We promise to take you on whatever Reno journeys we have in our future 🙌🏻💙
Can't wait to see you doing a new property! I'd advise to stay away from listed buildings as they'll be a nightmare for continuous content, you'll get stuck in planning queues and applications etc. Having to replace like for like, being very limited. Seeing you buy maybe a bungalow and turn it into a 2 storey would be cool, but then you won't be able to do much of it yourselves, that goes beyond "D.I.Y"...Perhaps buying someone's abandoned project house and finishing it?(Nightmare waiting to happen but great content)...Perhaps a property abroad? French property is PEANUTS(15-50k will buy you 3-4 beds in some places). Whatever you do - I'll be excited to watch along!
we’ve heard lots about listed buildings and how much waiting around they can create!! so we will defo try to avoid them! a bungalow would be a lot of fun as well too! a property abroad would involve ViSAS but defo something worth looking into for us!! Thank you for your suggestions and keep em coming 😋
I love to see young people making it on youtube ....youve worked your sox off .the house is gorgeous. Also you restore my faith in humanity for the love of your family.
Smashing some view's lately guys 🎉🎉 Your channels overtaking all other I watch soon 🎉🎉 Hurry up and get the house sold so we can see the next project ❤❤
Hi I am loving the canvas prints you found on line and they would be perfect for our lounge. Please can you let me know where you got them from on line? Thanks, loving your renovation videos
Oh no you caught the renovation bug! It will end up in a crumbling Chateaux in the South of France in a couple of years we can see it! Man cave is looking great with the DIY Kitchen units, well-played team. Can't wait to hear more about your next project 🧡
Definitely something that would make the office look better. However, it’s a pretty big job- that won’t necessarily add the value, so we’ll leave that to the new buyers to decide! 👍🏻
Hello darlings! You've made such progress since the Xmas break. I love the pop of colour pictures in the living room and the new shoe cupboard. Looks great there. The outdoor office is a massive complement to the house complete with wifi, electricity and heating. And the pantry is perfect. Anyone will be so happy to have that extra kitchen storage. They can add the hooks and fancy jars when they move in! The garden is looking good now. Annoying how things keep growing and you have to keep on top of it! Give those roses a prune in a couple of weeks and you'll soon see new buds appearing. My favourite bits? 2:19 Nicky in the background obviously feeling chilly on that day! Looks like she's wearing everything she owns! And 8:46 "Chapels!!" And for your next project? The world is your oyster and you should do whatever takes your fancy. Lots of love ❤❤ xx MamaHorsley xx
Hey Sophie 👋🏻. We’re glad you noticed that the outhouse is fully wired up with all WIFI and electrics, hopefully you’re right and it makes the house sell quicker! We’ll make sure we give those roses a prune, our gardening has been extremely sub par up to this point 🤣 We noticed Nicky looking freezing at 2:19 when we were editing- and it had us in stitches, she’s literally wearing everything she owns!! Lots of love and see you soon 💙❤️ xx
Hi Nicky & Harri 👋 Happy New Year!! I've really missed you guys. The house looks incredible & I love how you're both bursting with enthusiasm for more projects. The office is beautiful & definitely a huge bonus for any buyer. I can't wait to see what your next project will be. The world is your oyster & the work you produce is outstanding. I imagine your home will be snapped up & the new owners won't have a thing to do. It's perfect!! You've helped me with so many ideas & I'm so grateful. I'd love to see a Country cottage renovation. Have a great week. Thank you ❤x
Hey Harley, HAPPY 2024! We hope you’ve had a smashing start. To the year and we’re so glad you’re loving the house Reno. The world really is our oyster at this point- and we can’t wait to look at all the options we have and pick our favourite (as well as all of yours). Hopefully you’re right and the hope will get snapped up 🤞🏻. See you in the next vid- have a cracking couple weeks 👋🏻🤗
Best news ever! Glad to hear you're continuing to challenge yourselves, and hey as the saying goes "make hay while the sun shines" - which sounds odd for Britain! 😂 Keep us posted, and enjoy the ride. Damn proud of you guys! 🎉 ❤
Guys, first off I hope you had a lovely Christmas and happy new year, I’ve been eagerly awaiting this video for ages, happy to finally be able to sit down and watch it. Great content as always guys. Keep smashing it. 💜
Thank you very much/ we’ve been really excited to get this Vlog out and get everyone really up to date! Roll on a couple more weeks and we can let you know the market value 🫨🤗. We can’t wait to take you onto our next DIY project with us 👍🏻🙂
At 2:27 you set my Alexa off again lol. Wish you all the best for future projects and cant wait for the videos. Well done to you both, house looks amazing.
Hello Nicky and Harri. I hope your holidays were awesome and it is great seeing you in the New Year. I absolutely love everything you have done to this house; it has been an epic journey for sure. I think the mancave/office will surely add value to this home after all everyone needs a place to escape to every once in a while. While I am sorry you are not going to keep this house, I can surely understand your desire to continue flipping homes and making money and creating a new and exciting career for yourself. As the old saying goes, make all the money you can while you are young so you can have fun blowing it all when you are old. Looking forward to seeing what you do next. Take care and will see you on the next video.
Hey Leslie, we hope you had a great holiday season and have had a great start to 2024!! Always love your positive comments/ we’re always chuffed when people agree with our design ideas and what we’ve done with this house. We can’t wait to take you on our next DIY adventure with us. As you say- work hard young and retire early/ and if you really enjoy your job, you’ll never work a day in your life!! See you in the next one, have a great couple weeks 👋🏻
Yay great news that you're going to do another project! I've got a few questions that I'd love answered in a video at some point or here!! What do you plan to do with all your furniture? What kind of mortgage do you think youll get for another project? What kind of mortgage did you get for this project? Having moved location to be able to do a house project and get on the ladder would you do that again? Or do you think youll be more picky with the next location for e.g. closer to friends/family or to where there is more going on Do you think the fact that having the full renno public and available to a prospective buyer including costs will help or hinder a sale? Will you guys take a holiday before starting the next one? I would also love to see a video on your biggest takeaways from the project. Biggest challenges.. bits youre proudest of.. something to that effect. Lol that's loads but I'm really curious haha!
You guys have absolutely smashed this whole renovation, I’m glad I started watching the series as I am to have my Own house in the future and you have inspired me to tackle jobs my self eventually, I can’t wait to see your next project 🙏🙏
Thanks very much Josh, we’re so glad you decided to join us on this Reno series as well- and the all important sale price will be revealed next episode!! Best of luck with purchasing a new home for yourself and all the DIY you’ll get up to. 👍🏻
Good to see you guys back. I like the office and think it will be a good selling point, just because there is a lot of people that work from home these days. I’d love to see a barn conversion or another van conversion but will watch anything as I enjoy your DIY videos. Thanks for taking the time to create these videos and all the best when it comes to selling the house.
Happy new year guys, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you do this renovation, it is now a beautiful home 🏡 I’m looking forward to watching your next project. Well done to you both xxx
Great work. Enjoyed watching the whole project. One thing I would say for future reference. If you're painting wood / melamine (like these shelves in the pantry). Sand and use a primer. I know you're selling on, but a sticky jar of something will likely take that paint clean off. Zinnser 1-2-3 is a top notch primer for almost anything!
Cheers Ben, glad you’re enjoying! We’ve used Zinnser a lot in the past and love the stuff, completely forgot on the pantry but usually do use it! See you in the next one 👋🏻
Would love to see you come up to Norwich and renovate a classic Victorian terraced house. Most renos I see online are large houses or big properties, it would be really interesting to see what could be done in a smaller house. And given the amazing work you’ve done here I reckon it would be light work for you two!
Hey Jack! We LOVE Norwich - we went for the first time only a couple months ago. it’s funny because we were thinking doing something really small in Norwich as a ‘side hustle Reno’ would be a lot of fun!! 🤩
@@NickyandHarri that’s a great idea! You guys could do up a ‘2 up 2 down’ terraced house in a few weeks at your rate. Norwich is full of young couples who would snap up a house done up to your guys’ standard/style. Would defo suggest NR3 area, it’s 15 min walk to the centre with loads of independent cafes/shops on every other street corner but much cheaper than NR1/2
Hi guys i can relate about missing doing renovating, now im at the end of my house renovation i find myself looking at property pages. Not so much my hubby😂😂.i will be excited to see what you go for, may be and old run down cottage or a victorian house. Good luck finding the new house 😊x
Haha it’s addictive isn’t it!! Start sending over some Rightmove listings to him and put some DIY shows on in the background and I’m sure you’ll be able to sway him 😏 🥰
I wouldn't mind seeing you renovate a tiny building into a home, something of a similar size to the properties Gemma Wheeler keeps finding and redesigning for fun. So Happy New Year to Nicky and Harri, time to catch up on the life updates: -since you last replied to me, we got our bedframe sorted (5+ hour DIY project!) -ditto for bins, our kitchen is now fully functional! -and I'm no longer using our kitchen as my work-from-home space. Hubby's grandma gave us a giftcard as a Christmas present, and it was for one of my favourite furniture stores: JYSK. No not IKEA 😂 So went to JYSK, found some furniture for the study, and I finally have my own Work-From-Home desk - where I just watched this video :) And yes, just to clarify, we do have a proper bed completely now. When we first moved into our flat, I convinced him that we should just have a mattress on a floor until we knew what bedframe we wanted and where to put it. Unfortunately, we missed the notice that the bedframe did not come with bed slats so we had to buy extra bedslats! From a different company this time - our bed is super rock solid! (So satisfying to build it yourself and feel how stable it is as you put it together and understand the source of said stability...)
Hey Red, thanks for your comment! So glad you enjoyed this series, we’re fascinated by tiny homes and would love to do something like that in the future- maybe something we can incorporate into our next project! Really glad to hear your DIY ventures have been going well since we last spoke. Good job with the bed building and catch up soon 👍🏻
Hi N & H. Great video, glad you caught the DIY bug. In your next video please if possible give us a 10sec view inside the loft space. On that note how about a project where you could extend upwards? Keep the DIY faith guys, 😉
Cheers Fred, consider us fully hooked on the DIY Reno bug! Maybe this is something we can look at, we would love to do a loft conversion at some point 🙌🏻
Just came across this series today, so binge watching. Don't know if I'll get a reply to this genuine question; When you built the wall for the French doors, you built the outer skin first then the inner blockwork...did it need wall ties between the skins? Thanks.
Just a question - when you did the upstairs bathroom, did you have planning permissions/building control permission? Also, how did you get away with running the soil pipe along the outside of the house like that? I would've thought they'd make you get a macerator, or atleast have the soil pipe on a vertical drop into the sewer rather than diagonal.
I just went back and rewatched the install, you dug the pipe underground so more confused now at what the diagonal pipe on the outside wall is. Did you get building control to sign of the bathroom? don't remember that either and might be a problem when you come to sell.
We did have building control permission! It just got signed off this week actually. The diagonal pipe you’re looking at is the guttering from the roof! the soil goes down alongside the house in the ground and vertically up where the toilet is!
Well i was shocked when you said house up for Sale , but what ever is next it will Lovely as this House and Harry that was a load of💩in your back garden LOL, Looking forward to your next video
Just a tip for selling, dont be tempted to fall for a sky high valuation! You want to get as many people viewing as possible... List it significantly lower than anything else in the area, eg. 'offers over' your total investment. Anything on top is then your profit. This place will sell itself once people come and see inside. An open day should create some competition. You can then take your pick from any sealed bids which come in. Hopefully first time buyers, with no chain involved so you can move on quickly. You don't want to be waiting months on end for other people to try and sell their places first Good luck and keep us updated 🤞🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for the advice! All of it is very noted - got the estate agent round on Wednesday next week so it’s defo a convo we will have with him! Fingers crossed for a chain free cash buyer 😏😅😂
I think you should just upsize to a larger detached property. Don’t go too big yet. Work on fitting some luxury items and maybe look to get some more experience in gardens and outside space. After you have mastered those things you can move into a something “out there” e.g castle or estate or restoration of traditional farm house
Zainab needed the current floorplan and then our own little drawings that we made ourselves all with dimensions on. We also sent her some inspo pics so she could get the right sort style furniture!
Made up your doing another project, hopefully by the end of your journey you will be mortgage free can’t wait to see what you sell for so we know your budget for the new 1
Hey Karen, we’ve seen this idea and have actually already explored the possibility of it. Its something we 100% want to do in the next couple years 💙 x
Hi Nicky and Harri...I am glad you have looked at the idea...also read a couple of other comments ... Mty sister had a weekend away in a Chapel so you could even do it as a rental for more income 🤷♀️...sounds cool. What ever you do it will be a good watch so can't wait for your next adventure x
Definitely has crossed our mind. But won’t allow us to keep re-buying properties at auction, plus our lack of stable income means re-mortgaging would be VERY difficult!
Strange question, but on my renovation I've really struggled with painting ceilings. I've tried multiple paints, but it keeps going somewhat smudged/blurred. Any advice would be really appreciated :)
We have considered this. But without stable incomes and being self employed re-financing is almost impossible.. Especially with interest rates as bad as they are atm
£330K 🤔 Is there room for a sofa bed in the man cave? I think You Guys could tackle pretty much any refurb project. The next one will probably be far more ambitious...
Cheers Dolphin, fingers crossed for £330k!! Doubt there’s room for a sofa bed in there unfortunately.. we can’t wait to look at our future project options 🤗
I personally think the office is a waste of money as it’s really not usable There’s no natural light or heating or electrics that I could see. Sorry because I have really championed everything that you’ve done so far x
Thank you for your opinions. There’s heating and electrics tho, and even a cat5 connection (for REALLY quick WiFi)! We probs should have mentioned all this 😅
Natural light through the new door. Just be careful leaving anything in there long with these freezing temperatures. The condensation and damp will soon get to things
Happy new year guys, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you do this renovation, it is now a beautiful home 🏡 I’m looking forward to watching your next project. Well done to you both xxx
Hey Kelvin, happy new year to you! Thank you very much- We’ve loved having you on for the journey and can’t wait to show you our new ideas for our next project! 💙 x
What do you think our next project should be? 🤗🥰
A boat 🚢 👌
house boat 🚢⛵ 🏡?
id do a self build, my mum and dad did one we just moved in it took a while but we were dealing with setbacks from tradespeople etc especially for the interior. only costs alot if you take the mick with the designs, im studying architecture right now and id reccomend to do a semi detached house if you were going to self build because you will end up with 2 houses if you get the right architects and stuff you can really build on a low budget. id also reccomend timber frames as they are really fast, our house is timber frame with stone exterior walls and its amazing there is no compromise on the quality at all. it would be a big project but it would also make more oppourtunities as investors because of your following could come across your work see what you do and see an oppourtunity, then you can start negotiations with investors for a 50/50 deal, eventually you would have the option to have 4-5 projects going on at a time making you hundreds of thousands a year solely off them nevermind the youtube videos, advertisements and sponsorships and potential rental income.
by the way our house cost 200K for a 300m squared detached dormer bungalow with a 4 car driveway... well done on the content btw im a big fan
Barn conversion.
Best bit of advice I can give is to buy the worst house on the best road
1 million percent. Our plan for the next project 🙌🏻
I think you can carve out an amazing career flipping property💶💷💶💷💶💷🤑I can’t wait for your next project
Thanks very much bud, we like to think so!! We can’t wait to show you our ideas 🎉🙂
As usual you’re smashing it so no reason why not to go bigger and better.
Thanks as always Marc, roll on Spring 🤗
I would love to see an end of terrace/ semi-detached house as you could do a huge extension without planning permission
Cheers Flloyd, we do love the idea of extending- and will certainly be doing this in the future! 👍🏻
That’s a great idea - love the idea of not having to go through planning permission too😄
I love to see young people making it on youtube ....youve worked your sox off .the house is gorgeous. Also you restore my faith in humanity for the love of your family.
Thank you!! What a compliment to hear you say ‘making it on UA-cam’ 😍 thanks for watching!!
Did you not put any insulation in the outside office?
Smashing some view's lately guys 🎉🎉 Your channels overtaking all other I watch soon 🎉🎉 Hurry up and get the house sold so we can see the next project ❤❤
Cheers Rob, always good to hear from you! We can’t wait to take you onto our next project with us. Roll on Spring! 🫨🙂

office space is great (or more storage for prospective buyers). Maybe a small window facing the garden?
Definitely something that would make the office look better. However, it’s a pretty big job- that won’t necessarily add the value, so we’ll leave that to the new buyers to decide! 👍🏻
Looks great. The lamp at 4:28 - would you mind letting me know where you got this? Many thanks in advance
Thanks! The shade is from bnm but the actual lamp itself is car boot I’m afraid!!
Yayyy for new project! Can't wait to follow along again!
I think a property somewhere in Yorkshire so we can pop along for a day and help out 😆
Thanks Emma, we can’t wait to take you on yet another project! Who knows- we do love a Yorkshire tea ☕️ 😋
Cant wait to see you do the next house❤
Thanks Sandi, who’s saying it’s a ‘house’ 😉🤥
@@NickyandHarri must be a castle then lol
Would love to see you tackling a period property!! cannot wait to see what you do! xxx
This is 100% in our plans for the future. Just might not have the budget for it this year! 🤗 xx
Looks amazing! To see it from the start to the end you’ve done a great job. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be tackling next 🥳
Thanks Haydn, we can’t wait to show you our next ideas! Really glad you’ve enjoyed following along from the get go 🙌🏻

Sorry one more.. who would be your dream sponsor for another project??
French Chateau should be the next project!!!!!
Nah, they need to work their way up to a chateau 😉
Ugh what a dream!!!!🏰
You done a fantastic job of doing up your lovely house me and my wife are looking at living by the sea ,keep up the great work

You have done an amazing job. Go South perhaps - Dorset stone house maybe?
Thanks Tracy! We LOVE Dorset - so this is defo an option!
So Happy New Year to Nicky and Harri, time to catch up on the life updates:
-since you last replied to me, we got our bedframe sorted (5+ hour DIY project!)
-ditto for bins, our kitchen is now fully functional!
-and I'm no longer using our kitchen as my work-from-home space. Hubby's grandma gave us a giftcard as a Christmas present, and it was for one of my favourite furniture stores: JYSK.
No not IKEA 😂
So went to JYSK, found some furniture for the study, and I finally have my own Work-From-Home desk - where I just watched this video :)
And yes, just to clarify, we do have a proper bed completely now.
Hi Nicki where did you get the canvasses that you’ve put in the frames?? 😜
Hello! They were from an online store called SHEIN!
Thankyou for replying, I use shein so will have a look! 😜👍
Was the out house insulated?
Just came across this series today, so binge watching. Don't know if I'll get a reply to this genuine question; When you built the wall for the French doors, you built the outer skin first then the inner blockwork...did it need wall ties between the skins? Thanks.
Hi Steve - welcome!! Yes we did need/use ties!!
👍🏼🛠👫🏡 NEXT PROJECT: Treehouse, underground house or underwater house please 😂
Ahahaha- you want us to die 🤣
Well i was shocked when you said house up for Sale , but what ever is next it will Lovely as this House and Harry that was a load of💩in your back garden LOL, Looking forward to your next video
Thanks Pamela!! HAHA yeh it was a lot of rubbish🤣🤣🤣
You don't want to be waiting months on end for other people to try and sell their places first
Good luck and keep us updated 🤞🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for the advice! All of it is very noted - got the estate agent round on Wednesday next week so it’s defo a convo we will have with him!
Fingers crossed for a chain free cash buyer 😏😅😂
I think you should just upsize to a larger detached property. Don’t go too big yet. Work on fitting some luxury items and maybe look to get some more experience in gardens and outside space. After you have mastered those things you can move into a something “out there” e.g castle or estate or restoration of traditional farm house
Completely agree! Think we still need to better our ‘finishing skills’ before taking on something absoloutely huge!
What did Zainab need from you in order to create the virtual design images? Did you just send dimensions/photos, or did she visit site?
Zainab needed the current floorplan and then our own little drawings that we made ourselves all with dimensions on. We also sent her some inspo pics so she could get the right sort style furniture!
Made up your doing another project, hopefully by the end of your journey you will be mortgage free can’t wait to see what you sell for so we know your budget for the new 1
We can’t wait to show you our ideas Wayne… We’ll make sure we let you know what budget we’re working with next episode 🤗
OK I have an idea as I am seeing so much on Pinterest etc...do a big container build...so you will just have to buy some land 😀❤x
Are you tempted to keep the house, remortgage as a BTL and rent it out? 👀
Hey Jack, unfortunately we actually haven’t struggled with this yet! We love Johnson’s white paint for our walls and ceilings- hopefully this helps 👍🏻
Why no downstairs toilet?
It was an option at the beginning! But estate agent reckoned it wouldn’t be worth it! and for just us two we didn’t need a toilet each!
Did you both consider refinancing rather than selling? You could rent out the house and use it for income whilst doing your next project
We have considered this. But without stable incomes and being self employed re-financing is almost impossible.. Especially with interest rates as bad as they are atm
your videos end too quickly! I would love a 30-40 min video 😂😂😂😂 please buy a detached farmhouse building or a detached bungalow 😍
We’re glad you enjoyed it enough to want more!!! We love both those ideas- we’ll be exploring ideas like this for sure 👌🏼 🥰
An off grid Homestead!!
We defo want to do something like this at some point 👀🥰
Have you thought of a narrow boat...project to grt youre teeth into😊
Thanks Alison, we’ve defo thought about it🧠
So you are taking on another project because of a blossoming UA-cam career gotcha
A couple more of these houses so you can consolidate your monies, make more profit
Something new for us I think Karen! We always love taking on new challenges and adventures 🥳
£330K 🤔
Is there room for a sofa bed in the man cave?
I think You Guys could tackle pretty much any refurb project.
The next one will probably be far more ambitious...
Cheers Dolphin, fingers crossed for £330k!! Doubt there’s room for a sofa bed in there unfortunately.. we can’t wait to look at our future project options 🤗
Did you buy this house with a mortgage?
Whoop
😅🤩
Feel like it's been a while might have to watch twice😂 if this is a what the next one will be like I look forward to that
Find something big in a good area that's really dilapidated x
Sounds like you want to see A LOT of blood sweat and tears Pauline! 🤣 x
First
Wahooooo🤪
large
Italian 1€ house to rent out hehe
Ooooo- don’t know if there’s any left available 🫨
I personally think the office is a waste of money as it’s really not usable There’s no natural light or heating or electrics that I could see. Sorry because I have really championed everything that you’ve done so far x
Thank you for your opinions. There’s heating and electrics tho, and even a cat5 connection (for REALLY quick WiFi)! We probs should have mentioned all this 😅
There was a heating unit by the door.
Natural light through the new door. Just be careful leaving anything in there long with these freezing temperatures. The condensation and damp will soon get to things
Steer clear of having kids!!! No money to be made there!!
HAHA very true!!
