The song title is "Anak" (child, as in son or daughter). It speaks of someone's narration of his/her life from being an infant to adulthood of vices, mistakes and wrong turns. Until the time he realises his immaturity, repents and asks forgiveness. The song has been translated to more than 50 languages, mostly European countries. KZ sang half that song in Filipino (Tagalog) and half in Chinese (Mandarin). Again, KZ is Filipino. She cannot speak or understand Chinese! It's one thing to put in the time and hard work to memorize the sounds of each Chinese character (in limited time)...but how many singers would even be "brave" enough to attempt this? And to be able to put in all that emotion and "move" the audience.....INSANE.

This is a story about a person from birth till growing up supported by mother and father but lost his way and disrespected the family who cares by drugs and regretting what he did and asking forgiveness to the parents who was worried and will still accept even though he did a wrong thing........ Very emotional words and its originally composed by a folk singer in Philippines. You should get the translation of it so you can really understand the song and story in it.

Title is Anak (child).....this song is a 70s filipino classic....this song has been translated in several languages in the past most especially in Japanese coz the Japanese had a deep penchant about this song.....this is so because of the melody but when it was translated many felt how relatable this song is especially in the lives of adolescents who went astray due to drugs, alcohol and peer pressure that the song portrays a parent in deep sadness and displeasure as to why the kid got caught in trouble and desolation.....KZ sang this in tagalog and Chinese mandarin in that competition.
