thank you for your videos, which I found while searching for an answer to the following issue. When I right click with my mouse the dropdown menu to Group doesn't come up. I have SketchUp Pro 2021 and am using a Mac. I have to go to the Menu Bar. I would appreciate your advice. Sharon

I'm only on video 3 in your beginner playlist(and a few rando's) and brother, you are THE MAN!! Great Sound, no flashy editing, no overbearing music (or over the top annoying intro even) and for me the best thing is how you give the different mac/pc ways of doing things. and I know by the end of just this series me and my wife will be imitating the smooth voice stylings of your: "What's up guys…" Thank You Master!

I know this tutorial is for the desktop version, but I am trying to manage groups on the free web version. I see a place to create a group, but I don't see where I can retrieve a group I made earlier, or to select a group. (Yes, I see components.) Is this function available on the free web version?

Hi, you are a really great teacher! Untill know you helped me a lot because i am a beginner. Just one question after minute 21. I can't create copy's with the rotate tool. Don't know what i am doing wrong. Saw the video over and over again, can't find the problem. Thank you
first you move, then press ctrl to keep a copy in its original place, after you define the space between them " 1 meter then press enter " if you want 3 copies after done that, just type "3x" (or times 3)

I am using a grouped rectangle to push-pull beams section for use in my structural framing that I am trying. By using a grouped area, I get a grouped beam section. However, the push-pull done through editing the grouping does not seem to allow the inferencing. Is there a workaround to this?
How do you make a cone? I tried a lot but unable to convert a cylinder into a cone.

Hi Justin, I just started with Sketchup Pro and have signed up for your course. I have two questions. 1. I tried to download your keyboard strokes document but it didn't seem to exist. and 2. (which may be covered in the above) how can I go from any of the tools to get back to the Arrow function without going up to the top left to click on the arrow symbol? Thanks. Ian
Go ahead and leave a post in the Course community forum and I'll get you the link to the document. For the Arrow function, just tap the space bar key to go back to the arrow

I do not have the outliner in my default tray. In fact i do not have any option after scenes.
Sir，I got a warning : " a component with that definition already exists", and when I edit my component or make unique then edit them, they don't make a change. Only when I make the component(with same name) a second time(still gets warning) will it overwrite the original components and apply my change. What can I do about that?
I'm unable to modify my object when it's in a group or a component .
at 6:59 timeine... can you say how do you copy and move stuff around at the exact same plane? I end up with the object I just copied at different locations in space...and not on the same level in one of the axis.

Hi, i am currently using skp 2021and i am facing huge problem just because multipy option is not working..... the one with Divide is working but dur to the accuracy of the measurement its just useless

I'm enjoying this tutorial series, but I cannot get this Part 3 video to play. It never loads. I can play any of the other videos just fine. Not sure what the issue is. I hate to skip a lesson, as I really want to learn proper.

Grouping/Components does - for some reason the actual outliner has been made a part of the paid online version

Please Help!!! .make group and make component buttons are greyed out and now I'm not able to create them. Upgraded to Sketchup 2021 today. Installed some extensions. Everything OK tillen the group and components buttons greyed out. Anyone has a solution?
After a restart, I got them back working.
Move tool is not working, when gave a specific distance.
where can I find layer tool in this version??
